  1. We always do anyways, so why not? There'll be prediction threads sprinkled here and there right up until opening day. And then of course the contests. But I'd like Mattsox to put his money where his mouth is OR simply shut up.
  2. Let me just say that there's no such thing as having too many pass rushers.
  3. So we don't have to draft Manti T'eo and pursue Rey Maualuga?
  4. I believe he's the only NFL quarterback to play in actual games wearing his wedding ring. Also the steakhouse thing...
  5. You knew we were supposed to panic last week and yet you didn't say anything to anyone else? F you, KD. F you.
  6. They've recently released several players under the "failed physical" designation. I also remember them not clearing Angelo Crowell to play football for them.
  7. How much would you like to wager on your belief that the Bills won't win more than two games this year?
  8. I thought we were gonna force them to let us draft Johnny Football.
  9. I really like the idea of Peyton Hillis. Is he a free agent?
  10. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/156325-this-week-fitz-s-roster-bonus-due/
  11. In numerous posts I've stated that I don't like Barkley so don't feel the need to set me straight on him. I suggested that he might be a good fit for the WCO because he has an average arm and the WCO focuses primarily on the short passing game. Also others claim that he's a smart, studious type and that USC ran a similar system to a WCO. My actual point was that some of these QBs may not fit Buffalo's system. That's all.
  12. Definitely one downside would be that the defense might be able to narrow down the offensive possibilities depending on which QB is in the game. If the offense is tailoring packages of plays for each quarterback that would seem to make the offense more predictable. Ideally as an offense you'd want to be able to run a lot of the same plays with each quarterback, just as you'd like to be able to run a lot of the same plays regardless of whether CJ or Freddy were in the game…so as not to tip off the defense too much.
  13. And I touched on this before and I'm glad the topic has been started because it's an integral part of the discussion as to who the Bills should draft. An argument can be made that certain draft-eligible QBs are not good fits for the West Coast Offense. Then it becomes a discussion of how flexible the Bills offensive strategists will be with regard to shaping an offense to the talent available. Most people believe that based on the WCO that Barkley, Nassib, and Geno are good fits. Glennon might be a bad fit and I don't remember a QB like Manuel running a WCO. Matt Scott and Tyler Wilson would seem to be good fits. Bray and Landry Jones maybe not so much.
  14. I love Fitz as a guy and as a pro but I had to laugh.
  15. Randall Cunningham split time with Jaworski also. The Eagles broke Cunningham in as a 3rd down QB. Jaws was not thrilled. This also enters into the discussion about the Wildcat offense and the idea that the read-option is the successor to the Wildcat. Brad Smith anyone?
  16. Well I was addressing Lynch's departure from Buffalo. While you bring up some good case studies in supporting the idea that the Bills should have kept him, I still think Lynch had to go. He was not the player Bruce or Thurman were and in fact, Lynch is a one-trick pony. He's a power back. Very one-dimensional, IMO. Also his off-the-field problems were worse than Bruce or Thurman's. As far as the decision to draft Spiller, I think he's the best player on the Bills so I can't bring myself to view drafting him as a mistake. At the time, the only other player on the board who had his credentials as a talent was Dez Bryant who had a lot of concerns. I wanted the Bills to draft Brandon Graham at the time. JPP has turned out well but no one thought it would be a good idea to draft him at #10. Spiller was the best player at the time and offered the Bills some elements (home run hitter, return man, slot receiver) that Lynch couldn't provide. Now if you made the case that drafting Lynch was a bad decision I could agree with that.
  17. Also some offensive guys like Dustin Keller and Brandon Moore.
  18. Jim Ringo is in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But he's playing football for Tom Landry right now.
  19. Totally in favor of drafting 2 quarterbacks. It worked very well for Washington. I'd be perfectly fine with TJax and Manuel and Scott, for instance.
  20. I would say that the difference among the players is not enough to be meaningful because again, we're hopefully talking about a placeholder starter turning backup as we transition to our drafted QB of the future. So one veteran gets us 1-2 more wins than the other. So what?
