  1. If someone had told me in January that Fitz and Kelsay would no longer be Buffalo Bills, I'd have been ecstatic. I'm still ecstatic. I highly doubt that Marrone and Pettine came here to throw the season. We'll see that happens to Buddy. Lots of theorizing as you know. I will say I'm very pleased that the Bills have pruned so much dead wood this offseason. That's a very good first step in changing things for the better. I still have optimism for some good value FA signings.
  2. But this is not about you, Pete. There are plenty of people here who have been Bills fans for longer than you've been alive.
  3. You guys need to relax. Also like the others, I urge you to read this piece: http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/9039158/bill-barnwell-changes-nfl-free-agent-landscape
  4. Welcome to the conversation. I'm a fan of Matt Scott too. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/156103-matt-scott-qb-arizona/page__hl__%2Bmatt+%2Bscott Please merge. Thanks.
  5. At first I thought you might have meant misery but then I realized that you had misspelled miserabillsm.
  6. I wonder if they plan on playing him only for home games. It would enable them to sign him for less if he only played 8 games each season.
  7. Apparently you didn't read the thread. I don't consider "-centric" to be pejorative nor did I mean it that way. I meant it in a factual way. Not having read the book I can't judge it. But based on your description it certainly seemed like the cultural scope of the book was based solely on British culture.
  8. Anyways, I don't know how I feel about Jones. I know he's a great football player.
  9. Well you have me stumped then. I'm assuming you meant cornerback 4.
  10. Yeah but I don't need free agency and the draft to know the Bills will win more than two games.
  11. See if they're gonna go 4th string CB on a rebuilding team, I don't know why they wouldn't draft one in the 3rd-4th rounds. Cheaper and with more upside. I really hope the Bills don't use free agency to fill roster spots that good teams use draft picks for. If the Bills come out of free agency with one starter, I'll be happy. If they get two starters, I'll be ecstatic. If they re-sign Drayton (and I really like the guy), I'll be disappointed.
  12. Well I guess "major" cultural groups would be different than "distinct" cultural groups. Does Albion's Seed discuss the Acadians who settled in northern New England and the Bayou country or the Scandinavians who settled the upper midwest? It sounds like the book might be a bit ethnocentric or anglo-centric. Your brief synopsis seemed to ignore quite a few other immigrant groups.
  13. You know where the door is. Please by all means, feel free to use it.
  14. If the Bills really have an interest, I'm a bit stunned. I realize Buddy was in San Diego when they drafted Drayton but still, the guy's 32 years old and seemed to be fading. On top of this there are quite a few cornerbacks available in free agency this year.
  15. Thanks everyone. Is it possible that his visit might have to do with something not football related?
  16. ^^^^^^^ Aaron Williams and Leodis McKelvin are very different players. McKelvin is thin, wiry, and very fast. Williams is thick, physical and lacks top end speed. As for Marvcus Patton, he played linebacker so I'm not sure what you're "=CB4" refers to.
  17. I'm actually stunned that the team would have an interest. It seemed like he was washed up last time he was in a Bills uni. Does anyone know what "RT" means in Twitter speak?
  18. With the trade of Boldin it becomes a bit more possible for Baltimore to retain Ellerbe.
