I have only one concern about the rule. I'm not sure how the rule will be written yet but I would say that they should possibly consider have exemptions for goal line and short-yardage runs.

People on our board often talk about the difference between football speed and timed/track speed. No one called Von Miller a tweener. What they were saying was that he was a Maybin clone, all speed and nothing else.

People were actually saying that free agents wouldn't want to come to Buffalo for numerous reasons and that the Bills would have to overpay to get free agents to come here. Free agents follow the money for the most part. That's the reason these players signed with Tennessee, because the Titans offered the most money.

Hey Tipster. I've noticed that this week there's tons of bad behavior around here. Some people are using choices of words which are just snarkiness, snippiness, passive aggressiveness, etc. And others are just openly and downright rude. My theory is that the Bills inactivity in free agency is really pissing off a lot of people, especially after the 14 years straight of suckitude. And yet you still got some thoughtful responses sprinkled in there (Keister, Edward's Arm). Don't let it drag you down bro. Happy Friday.

Or later. There are actually lots of undrafted running backs in the NFL. Arian Foster comes to mind. I believe Chris Ivory is another. The de-emphasis in the position almost makes it seem like teams don't devote enough time and energy evaluating them. Like I said upthread, you gotta love his competitive instinct. Probably if something like this was said by Adrian Peterson or Steven Jackson, no one would bother to make an issue of it. Those guys also don't like giving up touches. The chip on Johnson's shoulder and his competitive instinct are a part of what has allowed him to succeed so you just have to accept the entire package.

Certainly the second article contains new information and yet again underscores the idea that people who don't know the full story shouldn't jump to conclusions (or apply generalized opinions which might not be relevant). Also there's probably people who've posted in this thread who haven't yet clicked on and read the articles. The thing is though that when Howard made that comment, he wasn't trying to be controversial. It was an innocent comment that went bad.

Regardless of whether a first-year coach gets a free pass in his first season (I don't believe he does), there's not a coach alive who would be complicit in some scheme to tank a season to improve prospects the following year. It looks like the Jets are intentionally sucking but I can assure you that Rex Ryan didn't get the memo.

Actually despite the limited # of draft picks this year, it wouldn't surprise me if the Bills took a RB somewhere. And of course they could always go the undrafted free agent route too. Also, "Johnson was winded."

Just wanted to mention that there have been posters here in the past who used large and bold font because of vision problems. That was the case with the last person who was mocked for using large and bold fonts. Just sayin'

I agree with KOKBILLS in that Jordan is a much different player than Maybin. He might still bust but IMO he's not comparable to Maybin. Anyways, what were your opinions about Von Miller and Bruce Irvin? Did you think they would also become Maybins? Just curious.
