  1. Good. Thanks for posting. I'm happy about this.
  2. A hypothetical where we don't draft a quarterback? Pass rusher. Right now for me I'd say Jordan or Ansah although I've only been watching video of QBs up till now. Also like the others mentioned, I think Mingo looks awesome. I know his numbers are not that good but I would bet he had a ton of hurries. While watching a lot of the QBs in games against LSU, you could tell they always were aware of Mingo. They seemed not to care too much about Sam Montgomery.
  3. You're absolutely right. In Tasker's last two seasons in Buffalo (and of his career) he was a very effective slot receiver. They also liked to get him the ball with shovel passes and reverses. It was a shame he wasn't used a bit more from scrimmage because even at the end of his career you could see his incredible quickness and athleticism.
  4. Yeah I was banging the drum for Myers. BTW, it was recently disclosed that he played the entire 2012 season with a sprained AC joint in his left shoulder. http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/5413/brandon-myers As others posted upthread, they might have had other business in the area.
  5. Asking because I don't know but how is the waterfront development in Pittsburgh around Heinz and PNC?
  6. To the OP, does this mean you're no longer in favor of selecting Johnny Manziel this year?
  7. Yep. The term of any contract with Davis would be key. Many free agents this year signed one-year "prove it" contracts hoping to gamble on themselves for a productive season and be on the open market again next year. Obviously the Bills would not be best served doing a one-year deal with a guy coming back from a very serious injury. With the Bills QB situation Davis would not necessarily benefit either. As per usual, the Bills will have to overpay a bit and also make a longer term commitment to the player. Davis would get more money and more security and the Bills would have a longer window on their possible return on investment. It's also possible that neither guy will be ready for the season opener. Or both. As Hopeful and others pointed out, he could meet with the Bills coaches, tour the facility, get a physical checkup from the team doctors and Rosenhaus could sit down with Overdorff. Maybe the Bills are learning to multi-task!!!
  8. Generally solid school though and as you probably know, Adam Oates studied aerospace engineering there. Makes total sense if you remember the kind of player Adam Oates was.
  9. How infuriated were the Chargers when Meachem and his $7.5 million signing bonus resulted in 3 starts and 14 receptions? As for DHB being buried on the depth chart in New Orleans, they drafted Meachem and Devery Henderson high and even though both of them are disappointments, they were given every opportunity to succeed. Even though Oakland overdrafted DHB, he was still viewed as a low first/high second round pick and had New Orleans picked him, I'm sure he would have seen the light of day. I was backing up Kelly's point that DHB is probably every bit as good as Meachem and he'd cost a helluva lot less.
  10. If we're nominating Morris Titanic we also have to nominate Joe Kowal. Actually I take that back. Apparently Kowal was a second rounder.
  11. Good point. Still I'm hoping for some residual advantage to our staff having coached in college the year before.
  12. I know Mike. I wasn't talking about being in the stadium and being able to see the falls from inside so much as I was thinking of blimp shots of the stadium, falls, bridge, gorge, etc. all juxtaposed in the foreground and background.
  13. Comically undersized in fact. How could a man with such small hands have any self-confidence at all? How could he look another man in the eyes when he's shaking his hand? Can you imagine women snidely whispering about him, their eyes mocking him as he walks up to the bar?
  14. Our society (and I include myself) is really obsessed with physical beauty. As Nitro suggests, there are many among us that are not physically beautiful but for whom beauty is abundant in every other aspect of their being. It's too bad we tend to dismiss and even mock people who don't meet our (often hypocritical) physical standards. From WotAGuy's anecdote, Mrs. Wilfork is a pretty cool person. Again, this speaks volumes for what an idiot Ted Johnson is.
  15. I like your points. Fitz' greatest attribute was possibly his toughness. Also the academic brain is only one part of quarterback intelligence. There's a large realm of the mental aspect that cannot be learned regardless of IQ and classroom habits, IMO. That's why you've had very intelligent QBs fail and some real dummies go on to HOF careers.
  16. Wouldn't that be something if the name of the running back the Bills drafted was Rodney King?
  17. And this is an awesome point. What would DHB and Meachem's careers look like if Meachem had been in Oakland and DHB had been catching balls from Drew Brees? Is their one single person here who wouldn't think that DHB would be considered the better player? Meachem after signing that ridiculous contract with San Diego $7.5 million signing bonus) only started 3 games and only caught 14 passes working with Phillip Rivers.
  18. Agreed. Nor does he understand the irony of his post. Anyways back to Landry Jones, I don't like the Bills wasting time with him. I appreciate "leaving no stone unturned" etc but I don't see "it" in Landry Jones. I hope that the appearance of the Bills interest in him is only a smokescreen or a contingency if for some reason, they miss out on a QB in the first round and are forced into a plan B.
  19. Two possible reasons: 1) Knowing (as the entire world does) that the Bills are drafting a quarterback in the first round this year. 2) The best contract offer on the table. Anyways, shouldn't the discussion of Stevie wanting DHB be moved to Off the Wall? NSFWAC
