  1. LOL. Chicanery? You make it sound like he was trying to sell people the Brooklyn Bridge. No offense, just a funny choice of words. There's always that wide receiver who was with the Lions… That was Rolando McClain. I remember having a hard time evaluating Maualuga because that USC defense was so good. I do think it can make evaluations harder.
  2. Kolb back to pass, has plenty of time, can't find anyone open, still holding the ball, now he's gonna run it. Following the block of Warmack, TOUCHDOWN!!! Seriously though, the Bills need to do something about their passing game. That means QB and receivers. And the team has a dire need for a 3-down linebacker. Anyways I think that those people advocating for Warmack at 8 are gonna be disappointed, regardless of who's right in this debate. I have the inclination to repeatedly re-post this ^^^^^ You should meet Dibs. I'd love to introduce you guys…
  3. Aha, so you would rather have a pass rushing linebacker! All kidding aside, a good litmus test for those who simply say "I want the Bills to draft a linebacker" would be to ask them: "Would you rather have Jarvis Jones or Alec Ogletree?"
  4. From that article: "The kid has all the intangibles you could imagine," one of the AFC executives said. "You couldn't ask for a better kid or a harder worker. But he just doesn't have the arm on the deep stuff." More specifically, scouts have said that Barkley doesn't have the ability to fire passes to tight spots on the field, relying mostly on timing to land throws. With that in mind, Barkley sounds like Pennington. "That's the comparison I would make," the AFC executive said. "That's what people said about Pennington way back then." That's exactly what I said about Barkley. He has really only one negative. And you hear posters say that arm strength isn't that important but I bet you NFL teams feel very differently about arm strength, especially when it's below average. If he had even an average arm you might be tempted to live with it.
  5. "It's hard to start a fire in the NFL"
  6. All day but not every day? Not six ways till Sunday? Your post lacked conviction.
  7. Are you saying that he has bad hands? Could you imagine how jealous Brady would be? BTW, bad offseason for ole Tommy Boy. He's lost Welker, Edelman, and Woodhead. He loves those short boyfriends and now they're all gone.
  8. Ground up and fed to the dog, Kibbles and Kolb. Funny that you mention Kelvin Sheppard. Kolb's first name used to be Kelvin but he had it changed years ago. At the time he was quoted as saying "!@#$ these stupid L's" I wouldn't go out and buy his jersey yet. He could be getting a name change at anytime.
  9. So I'm gonna close this down now. The numbers speak for themselves. Thanks for participating! Yes (185 votes [66.07%]) No (50 votes [17.86%]) Undecided/Not sure (45 votes [16.07%]) Delete My Vote Edit this poll
  10. LOL I know what kind of LB you want from your previous posts. I was just giving the kid a hard time.
  11. You're unclear. Pass rushing linebacker? Run-stuffing linebacker? 3-down all-around linebacker?
  12. Actually I can't stand Gruden and have never watched the show. That said, I'm saddened to hear some fans of the show say that it's going downhill a bit. From what I hear it's arguably it's the best TV work Gruden has done so I hope he doesn't water it down to broaden its appeal. Just because it looks like the Bills will draft a QB this year, I might have to make an effort to watch some of the episodes.
  13. Here's the link in the link which shows the programming schedule for "Gruden's QB Camp." http://espnmediazone.com/us/press-releases/2013/03/espns-2013-grudens-qb-camp-program-schedule/ The schedule shows all the repeats as well. If you simply want to know which players are appearing this year, those shows are highlighted in yellow.
  14.   This tweet didn't register on the Richter Scale here in the Bay Area. And Stevie's from San Francisco. I'm guessing that while a few (2?) national media outlets picked this up that it's basically a non-story outside of Bills Nation.
  15. Another guy Bills fans were clamoring for at the same time was Cowboys tackle Doug Free. Clabo signed for 5 years and $25 million three days after Free signed for 4 years and $32 million. Both have underperformed their contracts. I was in the large group of people beating the drum for Clabo. That same offseason many of us (again myself included) were hoping the Bills would target TEs Zach Miller and Kevin Boss. All of those players got career contracts just as they were hitting the downsides of their careers. I could see him re-signing with Atlanta too. Last year lots of us wanted WRs Pierre Garcon and/or Laurent Robinson. Seems like we're in that large group of people that aren't that great at identifying good free agent targets. That's good because he's never played LT. Chas. !@#$ Chas. :wallbash: :wallbash: edit: If Zach Miller can get healthy, he could return to being a Pro Bowl performer. As far as Doug Free, there are rumors that the Cowboys will release him if they can get his replacement in the draft.
  16. I was watching Barkevious a bit last night and was disappointed because while I was watching the QBs videos, Mingo seemed very noticeable as a pass rusher. The South Carolina tackle completely owned him. But the thing I noticed about LSU's defense in the South Carolina and Clemson games is that they looked quite a bit like Wanny's defense last year. Very vanilla. I wonder if they keep things simple so the players can play fast. I wonder if it makes it harder for their players to transition to the pros.
  17. How do you feel about super mobile QBs that also have rocket arms like RG III, Kaepernick, Manuel, and to a slightly lesser degree Luck and Russell Wilson?
  18. Yeah Barden and Brandon Moore are two guys I would have thought the Bills would be interested in.
  19. What makes it more interesting is that while Mike Glennon visited the Bills, according to Chris Brown, the team did not work him out. I was actually a bit surprised that Chris Brown divulged that information.
  20. Addressing the "why don't they sue pee-wee, high school, and college football?" How much money are you gonna get from a pee-wee football program? How much money are you gonna get from a high school football program? How many concussions are suffered by pee-wee football players? What kind of publicity would a player get from bankrupting a pee-wee or high school football program? On the other hand, the NCAA could be held liable in some cases where they may have cleared a player who shouldn't have been cleared. Also, the NCAA has tons of money.
