  1. Well unless they're blatantly lying through their teeth (and I don't think they are), they're not gonna take an O-lineman at #8.
  2. The OPs scenario is plausible IMO. Lotulelei is by far the best interior D-lineman in the draft IMO. He's the second coming of Haloti Ngata as far as I'm concerned. They're both 6'4" Tongan giants. The Niners are very concerned with the health of Justin Smith besides having lost Isaac Sopoaga and Ricky Jean-Francois. Yes they've signed Glenn Dorsey but they're still down one at that position and Lotulelei is going to be an elite player.
  3. Tannehill (a QB) was the 8th pick last year. He signed a four-year contract with the Dolphins worth approximately $12.684 million, with an option for a 5th year. That is more than most teams pay their backup QBs although if your starter is also making about the same (in the scenario of first round QBs in consecutive years) the total number for these two QBs is pretty low compared to the $15-20+ million per year the top starting QBs are making now. Oh yeah. Knox was one of the early practitioners of "Coach Speak." He pioneered the form.
  4. Bye Bye Byrdie? Ball hawking? Good stuff (although I would have replaced "lint in pocket" with "empty nest of feathers.")
  5. Numerous posters here wondered aloud whether Kaepernick could be in play for the Bills as a mid-late first rounder based on a trade down scenario.
  6. I did most of the work for Bandit. A bit disappointed he didn't cite me as co-author.
  7. Yes, the question is how much less. Actually he hates someone called "Branden." Must be a different guy because he's been corrected a few times now and still talks about this Branden guy. I think less than that.
  8. People would also benefit a great deal watching video and drawing their own conclusions than reading most of the crap out there. See what names are on the big boards and watch the videos of them. At least over time you develop your own skills of observation. Just watching videos there were two players last year that I was certain were going in the first round that most "experts" had projected in the 3rd or 4th round. Every year you do this for yourself is a year you actually increase your knowledge of the game, as opposed to reading someone else's opinion… someone who might not understand the game as well as YOU DO.
  9. Good point. Cruz would be a great compliment to Stevie. Nice contrast in styles.
  10. It's easy. Just keep up with the thread. If you know how to use the site, you can just read the most recent posts from after the last post you already read in the thread. The little dot or star on the far left will be red when there are posts you haven't read.
  11. Yeah but he has great measurables although now you have me worried about the size of his superior temporal sulcus. Like when Donte Whitner didn't pan out?
  12. I thought the period for offering restricted free agents had ended.
  13. Was that the place just north of Hertel? I know I was in there once, and maybe twice. Also there was that place on Hertel near Starin, The Colony?
  14. We'll see. There's the past, and then there's the future. Working the pole?!?!?!?!
  15. I was wondering about the timing of the Dansby visit myself. I wonder if it has anything to do with Rolando McClain's arrest? McClain signed with the Ravens for 1 year and $700,000. The veteran minimum one-year deal for Dansby would by about $1 million. None of McClain's contract is guaranteed so Baltimore, if they cut him, could sign Dansby by spending maybe $300K-500K more. The only reports I've seen so far for James Harrison's contract is that it was for 2 years.
  16. It seems at this point like Dansby would be more of a two-down linebacker which is fine. The guy is a warrior and nails against the run.
  17. She isn't going to New York City is she? That was AWESOME!!! Thanks!!!
  18.
  19. I guess the ones too drunk to notice the sign were the lucky ones.
