We tend to focus on the negative but as you know there's hundreds of stories like this in the NFL. Look at people like Torrey Smith, former Bills Nic Harris, Jon Dorenbos, Ronnie Vinklarek. I'm constantly amazed by the strength of character and determination of many NFLers. So many of these guys have overcome steep odds.

I've been doing a weight training workout for a few months now where I ride the bike hard for 3 minutes between sets. This is in contrast to how most people workout where they just kinda stand around until they feel their body is ready to do another set. I don't know if there's a term for this kind of training but it works real well and your workouts end up being much shorter and more effective. On another point it's clear to me that Doug Marrone and Chip Kelly are the two guys who are really gonna revolutionize the way time is spent around an NFL facility. They're both highly-regimented in terms of time and tempo, more so than any NFL coaches that have come before.

:lol: :lol: NFL practice jerseys have sponsor advertising. There's been ads on hockey rinks and soccer fields for over 3 decades. Rich Stadium (corporate naming rights) opened in 1973. Tatoo advertising/human billboarding is on the rise. This stuff has been around for a long time and it's not going away. It's a part of capitalism.

I think generally people aren't being too judgmental here with a few exceptions. The thing is, he's a public figure by virtue of being a very very well-paid professional athlete. Right or wrong it goes with the territory. If he was being mercilessly attacked I would agree with you more but I think most people have a good perspective on this. As with all things there's gonna be a few idiots with funny farm takes.

I'm guessing Dansby re-signs with Arizona. Their outstanding MLB Darryl Washington has been suspended for 4 games for PEDs and is also having MAJOR off the field issues relating to domestic violence. Also Dansby played 6 years in ARZ so I'm gonna connect those dots. As a result of the Darryl Washington situation, the market has shifted away from the Bills who are probably trying to get him at a fairly deep discount.

You meant to say Sid Gillman. Yeah I agree with JR that it's amazing that he was able to function publicly and not let his neurosis defeat his success. What an extraordinary person. In recent years I've met a few high achievers who go through life effortlessly which is completely amazing to me. During the times in my life where I've achieved near my potential I'm usually accompanied by stress and hardship. I think most people are that way so it's amazing to meet people who can achieve great things without the accompanying costs.
