  1. Maybe the listing agent is one of those people that think hiring Marrone is gonna boost Bills season tickets sales? According to Zillow, the property taxes are $24,597 based on the assessed value of $650,000. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/6100-Waitsfield-Dr-S-Jamesville-NY-13078/31726890_zpid/ If this place sells for over a million, that assessment could go up. As it is, the taxes alone are over $2000 a month. So with a rough mortgage calculation of $5338 a month, that is a lot of money for Syracuse. I'm thinking there won't be much of a market for that house. Horrible attached garage. They were going for the classic center entrance colonial look but true houses of that style had detached garages/carriage houses…. not hideous attached garages that upstage the entire house. I guess Marrone has a couple of kids at least.
  2. Would never have pegged you as a Frasier fan. As for the OP, you guys apparently haven't been paying attention. But to play along, I guess 11-3 is the new 11-5.
  3. Just to refresh, the Bills used the "non-exclusive franchise tag" on Byrd. According to the Buffalo News: The franchise tag the Buffalo Bills placed on safety Jairus Byrd is a non-exclusive, which makes a difference in what could happen next. Clubs have the choice of designating their franchise tag as "exclusive" or "non-exclusive." An exclusive franchise tag prevents other teams from negotiating with that player, essentially guaranteeing he will return to his original team. A non-exclusive franchise tag allows the player to negotiate with other teams and sign an offer sheet. If that occurs, then the original team has the option to match the offer sheet and keep the player. If the original club chooses not to match the offer sheet, then it receives two first-round draft choices as compensation from the player's new team. So it's still possible for Byrd to play elsewhere in 2013. However there has been no talk that Byrd has garnered any interest from other NFL teams. If there are no competing offers, I would think that this gives the Bills more leverage. And in a scenario where Byrd does sign elsewhere and the Bills choose not to match, the Bills receive two first rounders. I seriously doubt that another team will make an offer to Byrd so again, I think the Bills have a bit of leverage here. Am I wrong?
  4. I was thinking they could accessorize the coaching staff with ascots. Maybe something in a Zubaz pattern?
  5. He might have got himself cut in 3 days but at least he has his own song.
  6. Must be those small hands that people around here were quietly concerned about.
  7. I'm thinking Banana Republic Stadium would be a bad idea too.
  8. I don't like the decision the Niners made to leave San Francisco either. As you're aware, they built their corporate headquarters and practice facilities down here years ago. Almost seems like the stadium was a fait accompli.
  9. Gragg's a shade under 6'3" but appears taller. Also he has longer than normal arms at 33 5/8" and of course that tremendous speed. Marrone was saying yesterday that they want to build some plays for Gragg based on what he did at Arkansas. This kid will make the team and could easily be an opening day starter based on if Chandler is healthy. I watched his video vs Ole Miss on a day when Tyler Wilson was not sharp and Gragg was quite excellent as a receiver and surprisingly as a blocker. As a blocker he uses his speed to outflank defenders and seal them inside and while he's not a great head-on, in-line blocker, he uses his athleticism to dominate smaller men at the second level. This kid ran 4.50 at the combine and has run faster than that. He ran a lot of deep seam routes and even when not the primary target, created lots of underneath space in his wake. This was a really outstanding pick, IMO.
  10. Uh, Marcel didn't say anything. It was a writer's opinion piece on Marcel.
  11. He can certainly play better than he did last year. And the same could be said for all the Bills defenders.
  12. However Harbaugh and Carroll both had very extensive NFL backgrounds before returning to the NFL. Marrone was an NFL player and coordinator. Chip Kelly has no NFL experience. I think the NFL experience factor is a big advantage to have, which is not to say that Kelly will fail. Petrino had zero NFL experience. Steve Spurrier only had NFL playing experience but never coached in the NFL before his failed HCing job with Washington. Nick Saban had a run as an NFL coordinator before Miami hired him as their HC.
  13. Did the drunk murderer get drunk because he was being teased in school?
  14. Agreed. Also the supposed humor of a mistaken arrest completely eludes me. Then again some people think that "chicken crossing the street jokes" are funny.
  15. Of course now with EJ Manuel we can call a QB option/draw and he can waltz for the first down!
  16. All of the studies I've seen on the subject conclude the bolded.
