  1. You say cynical but in a purer sense, you could say skeptical. And you would be justified. Wow is right. There have been so many good, intelligent posts in this discussion (even posts with opposing viewpoints; even posts by posters I don't really like) that I'm amazed at your post. To see someone call this discussion "a waste of my f***ing time is a wow, for sure.
  2. Thanks JJ. I wonder if your experience is par for the course for a bus loaded with drunks crossing the border.
  3. I'm pretty much a social liberal and respect the rights of women. That said there are at least two things in my book which trump any women's rights, either legal, traditional, or from a customary/protocol/etiquette standpoint. 1) Common !@#$ sense. 2) No double standards. Men shouldn't be penalized because they are men. The application of the law should view men and women as equals which unfortunately is not always the case in family law and areas like that. On the other hand, women should get the same pay for the same job as men do, which also isn't always the case.
  4. What, no love for "run fits?" Now you're getting HIGHLY technical.
  5. This isn't a black and white discussion. What we're all striving for is the right balance of playing time. The Bills would benefit from having Stevie on the field for about 90% of the offensive snaps…. and all of the important ones. Give him just enough snaps off that he can go full speed on the ones in which he plays. That's what I'm saying.
  6. As to the previous post by C-Man, I don't "feel badly" for NFL players. I was just agreeing that they have a very different situation than do MLB and NBA players.
  7. Hey Bandit. Apparently the effect of your post is waning quickly! Particularly if you're a proctologist or a gynecologist.
  8. I reckon? Dagnabit that Buddy Nix! Wadya mean? I'm with John Adams on this one. He's one of our founding fathers, after all. Why don't you go back to Russia!
  9. C'mon Metz. It's me. I wasn't taking it literally.
  10. Great idea. We could coax Javon Walker out of retirement and hit the trifecta! They could form a support group and meet during time allotted for the special teams meetings.
  11. I guess this means he's keeping Tom Gibbons as pro personnel director?
  12. Great news Ken. BTW, Bill Bergey (as some here know) grew up in South Dayton, NY…. just south of Gowanda. He had a GREAT career as a prototype, physical MLB for the Bengals and the Vermeil Eagles who went to a Super Bowl. I guess that makes him a teammate of fellow WNY product Ron Jaworski. Back to Bergey, he's one of several great MLBs that hasn't been credited in history as much as he should have. He and Tommy Nobis were GREAT players. Both Nobis and Bergey are as good as some linebackers in Canton.
  13. I hope the undrafted free agent RB is able to prove he can pass protect and avoid mental errors that he wins our 3rd RB spot. We need one big, physical pounder in that group.
  14. There'll be plenty of speed on the field where we won't have to remove our best wide receiver for marginally more speed. The "law of diminishing returns?"
  15. Not bad. How about Jordan "Respect" Dangerfield? Don't forget "Sir" Alex Carrington.
  16. Well now we're getting somewhere. Party busses loaded with people who don't have to worry about driving to and from the game. I wonder how easy/difficult it is for these busses to cross the border. I'm guessing that they're virtually waved through sometimes.
  17. Clearly the Lions did their homework on Titus. Seriously I wonder if any NFL teams had him red-flagged.
  18. Unfortunately in order to stay classy one first, must actually be classy. Have they announced the tour dates and locations yet?
  19. And the Ravens will surely hold the door open for him. Yep. Some things you can see coming a mile away.
