  1. I don't know if it strengthens your argument or weakens it but I'm not sure why you track the record back to 2007. Jones has been in control of the Cowboys since he bought the team (and fired Tex Schramm) in 1989 but assumed total control of football operations when he fired Jimmy Johnson in 1994. On top of that some argue that Switzer's Super Bowl win was accomplished with Jimmy Johnson's players. It might be more indicative of Jones' football acumen to track his won-lost record back to 1995.
  2. I love when they coordinate their ensembles… like a cute elderly couple.
  3. Yesterday in his interview on BB.com, Marrone was asked whether Kolb was ahead of the other QBs in picking up the offense. In very short order Marrone turned the question into an opportunity to praise EJ on how quickly he's picking things up as a rookie. This was yesterday following the session where EJ had fewer snaps than Kolb and Jackson.
  4. “And then a week and a half ago they found a major cyst from my gums to my nasal cavity and they had to cut that out — the size of a nickel — and they had to pull out all of my front teeth.”
  5. I'm fearing her post means the opposite but obviously hoping for the best.
  6. Quiet offseason for you guys but I loved Datone Jones and Eddie Lacy as your first two picks. I loved Nick Perry last year too so hopefully he and Jones give you guys the added physicality you need on D. Getting Rodgers signed his huge too but the NFC looks really tough this year. Good luck, Ice Bowl. Hope the permafrost has thawed a bit.
  7. I spoke out vehemently against Jamarcus Russell because I think bringing him to Buffalo is a really stupid idea. Tough on Manti? http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/157775-manti-teo-at-46/page__st__40#entry2800508 What I continually said about Manti is that in order to clear his name he has to provide phone records, receipts and other documentation. I said in a situation like his where his reputation is at stake that he has to bear the burden of proof. Over the years I've posted often about people like Jon Dorenbos, Ronnie Vinklarek, Nic Harris, and Torrey Smith. Hell I've even defended Terrell Owens because of the difficult childhood that he had. All of these guys had very tough childhoods and overcame quite a bit just to be normally functioning human beings. As I said before, the things I've posted here about Te'o, Tebow, and Russell are far from the worst things posted about them on this site. I could compare some of my posts to those of others to prove this point but I have no need to defend myself here any further, certainly not to satisfy you and certainly not at the expense of casting others in a bad light. Go ahead and believe what you want to believe.
  8. You like singling me out as the bad guy whether it's one of your threads on Te'o, Tebow, or Russell. However if you actually read the topics and see who said what, you'd see you're very mistaken. Look at your recent Tebow thread and see what I wrote and then read what others wrote. Tell me I'm the bad guy. Look at your Te'o thread. Same thing. I've posted numerous times about redemption stories. I just happen to think that you overvalue the players you advocate for. You're tilting at windmills.
  9. Yeah that's exactly what I said: McKelvin is a superior punt returner by any measure.
  10. It's not affordable but I couldn't resist. It's a Maybach (Daimler's soon-to-be-defunct luxury brand) but it's literally one of a kind. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maybach_Exelero The range is about $20-60K. http://www.carsforsale.com/used_cars_for_sale/Acura_NSX Winston Wolf drove one didn't he?
  11. Apparently Duke Williams and Aaron Williams have been playing both positions. You're wrong again. McKelvin returned 7 punts for TDs in college and as a pro he has 39 returns for 3 TDs and a 16.3 yard average. McKelvin is a superior punt returner by any measure. If you tried being objective, your harangues might have a bit more credibility.
  12. So there's more interest in Jamarcus Russell than there is in Tim Tebow?
  13. They showed him in one drill and then on a run play to the offensive left. I think Wood was blocking him.
  14. That's where the fight in "Boy Named Sue" took place.
  15. He did look big but as you suggested, there's no such thing as a svelte defensive tackle. That's funny because he looked like he was moving well to me. I'm serious too. He's a nice combination of mass and athleticism.
