  1. Well it's certainly great to hear that he's trying to get it together. It's probably like any number of bad habits, you have to be strong every day.
  2. Bob Kuechenberg and Mike Curtis were both awesome players. There are a lot of great players not in the HOF and the line is so thin that it sometimes seems that the names fall arbitrarily on either side of the line. Here's a list of all the members of the Hall of Very Good, which Ken and his people started in 2002: http://www.profootballresearchers.org/HOVG.htm
  3. It was mentioned upthread that he had a procedure done in January and apparently it was surgical… or at least arthroscopic.
  4. Isn't it Travis Henry? Or is it Marshawn Lynch? I'm getting confused now.
  5. That reminds me of when a softball buddy of mine described himself as "a shorter, right-handed, Asian version of Fred McGriff."
  6. Reggie has all but disappeared, he's not even the most famous Reggie McKenzie in the NFL anymore. That honor would go to the current GM of the Oakland Raiders. For those Bills fans not old enough to remember: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_McKenzie_(guard) Apparently Reggie has a foundation in the Detroit area (his place of birth and hometown): http://www.reggiemckenzie.com/index.html Over thirty years ago I had a dream of giving back to the young people in the communities where I grew up - Highland Park and Detroit, Mich. I started a summer football clinic with a bag of footballs and cones given to me by my former football coach at the University of Michigan. Starting with my dream and a few footballs in 1974, I never imagined that over 30 years later the Reggie McKenzie Foundation would sponsor athletic clinics in five sports and offer a host of academic programs. Today, approximately 1,500 young people are touched every year by our programs. It's been a great 36 years filled with more opportunities and challenges than I ever imagined. Our biggest challenge today is to continue to maintain our programs. Unfortunately, a poor economy has resulted in reductions in government, corporate, and individual contributions and has affected our ability to serve young people to the fullest. Hopefully, with additional funding, we will restore all of our programs. I hope you enjoy reading about the Reggie McKenzie Foundation. All of our activities would not be possible without the support of people like you. Please let me know your thoughts about what we are doing and how we can continue our "Commitment to Character" for many more years. Thanks for your interest in the Reggie McKenzie Foundation. 7. Reggie was an excellent player whose main claim to fame was being OJ's "Main Man." The tendency to associate him with OJ is probably not helpful to Reggie at this point.
  8. The last name is Clocker and I'm surprised that you've been impressed by him.
  9. Sad news about PFW. I'm a long time devotee but business is a form of Darwinism and ultimately they just weren't competent enough. Their content was good enough but they were weak on the business end. To a large degree, businesses succeed and fail by their own merit.
  10. Good stuff. Thanks CB. I don't remember hearing anything about any of this.
  11. It's being discussed in The Official OTA/Minicamp Thread. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/158316-official-otaminicamp-thread-mayjune/page__st__280
  12. I'm not sure where you get that idea from but that theory makes as much sense as any, I guess.
  13. If Bill from NYC shows up it's all over. We'll be singing that song that Marv wrote to some Grateful Dead melody.
  14. As people here have been posting, different teams place different values on players and sometimes those values are very different. http://csnne.nbcsports.acquia-ps.com/blog/patriots-talk/patriots-cowboys-dont-see-eye-eye-draft Aaron Dobson, the wideout the Patriots drafted with the 59th overall pick, had a fifth-round grade for Dallas and he was the 12th rated receiver on their board. Josh Boyce, whom the Patriots selected in the fourth round with the 102nd pick, was rated a fourth-rounder by the Cowboys as well. As for the Patriots’ first selection, Jamie Collins (52 overall)? He was deemed the sixth-best defensive end for the Cowboys and given a third-round grade. Illinois defensive end Michael Buchanan, whom the Patriots took in the seventh-round with the 226th overall pick? Dallas had him with a fourth-round grade.
  15. Like Brandon Moore, he's a bit shorter and lighter than most guards. A bit younger than Moore and of course Legursky can play center as well.
