It's hard for me to say because I think the next 2 to 4 years will actually be Gilmore's prime and I'm expecting the Pats to get the very best from him and I strongly believe in the fact that he will be a pro bowl player for them. If I had to choose a player that I appreciated more and a player who wasn't a quitter for the Bills then I would go with Clements. I hated to see Clements go and I would have hated to see Gilmore stay. But at the end of the day I would bet Gilmore will have the better career before it's said and done with.

This past summer he was working out in my gym with a Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach and this guy was working him hard, just getting him to be more physical and showing him how to always deliver initial contact inside. The coach had two arms pads on and just beat on him inside everytime. It was amazing to see last summer how lean and strong his body got after just one season at UNC. Looking forward to see how much better he can get over the next two years. I know he will continue to work hard and only get better.

I coached Luke Maye in Middle School. He is a great player, he is an awesome student, and above all a super kid. You will never meet a more humble kid and his mom, dad and brothers are all wonderful people. I couldn't be more happy, actually had some tears after he nailed that shot. Been coaching for 24 years and have come across some terrific kids but there are very few that have ever worked as hard as Luke and he deserves this night. Your former teacher and coach is very proud of you. Look forward to seeing you in a few weeks after you bring home a national championship!

Clay, he gets open and just needs Taylor to get him the ball. My guess is that Taylor will work hard to improve that area of his game and Clay will finally produce some huge numbers.

Sounds good! I've been hear awhile but don't have a ton of posts. Thanks for your feedback and I look forward to some good conversation on hear again sometime. Next time it will be more focused on the Bills. I went to Brockport college many years ago and spent a lot of time in the Rochester area. I now live in Charlotte and hang out at the many Bills bars we have down hear each Sunday during the season and try to make it up to a game whenever I can. In fact, we play in Charlotte this year and I will be one of the many proud Bills fans in the crowd that day.

roottabaga I understand what your saying but this is a forum for fans and if someone wants to throw out a fantasy about how he would like AP then I think he should be able to do that. If you don't find the post interesting then move on to another post that you find more enjoyable to engage in. For example, you have posted already 7 times under this thread and I know this last one was to reply to my comment but you get my point. I didn't feel like it was a great thread either but I'm not going to bash the guy. I guess the fans in Buffalo are not only tough in the stadium but on their message boards too.

If you guys hate the topic so much then why have some of you complainers already post several times. It seems like you feed off this stuff. I don't agree at all about picking up AP but everyone is entitled to their opinion and if you don't like it then either state your case or move on to another thread. Some of you complainers spend 24 hours on these threads and I guess it's fun for you to rock the boat every once in awhile. Go ahead experts, what ya got?

I'm tired of guys like you thinking you are the Bills board Nazi patrol. If a fan wants to bring up a topic or a point then they should he able to instead of idiots like you trying to control the board like you are the expert on forums. In response to the post; I'm sure the Bills kick the tires on a number of guys but we will never know about every phone call, text, and personal communication between agents, players and third parties. The fans don't have an open ear to all talks so my guess is the Bills have an idea of details such as where Peterson wants to play, how much money he is asking, and on how long he wants to work out a contract for. Some people like to get mad at the Bills when they don't hear a guy they feel they should be attempting to get but we the fans have very little knowledge with what goes on behind the scenes. Yes, even with today's media and technology.

The guy had all the tools in place physically. It was a shot I was glad they took at the time of that draft. It sucks that it didn't work out. I guess if you want to call it whiffing then that is your call. I guess most GM whiff. I think it's great that we at least tried to correct the QB situation and until we get the guy we want we should keep on trying. I guess every team whiffed by not taking Dak Prescott until Dallas finally grabbed him in the 4th round. I guess some fans just like to be more negative than others.

Obviously the Bills fans don't call the shots at one Bills drive. I just said they would go nuts. Dallas had a 4th round grade on Dak Prescott. Carr made it by everyone in the first round. Brady got by all the teams until the 6th round, and Wilson went in the 3rd. Wow all those teams had those grades wrong on these qb's. Fire all the GM's.

It was pretty clear the coaching staffs didn't want EJ, hmmmm because the media talks like they know so much. We know that's a bunch of crap. We get fed more lies than truths. They speculate and make things up half the time. Rex went overboard about how much he liked EJ.

I said the fans would have went nuts. I didn't say the fans forced their decisions, that would he rediculous.

He played through his rookie contract. You have an issue with that? We paid nothing for him and gave him his rookie contract worth of time to get better. It didn't happen and they released him. I hope they do the same with Cardale. That's just being smart with your draft pick and your money situation.

Whaley and Nix didn't whiff. They had to take a QB. They all sucked. If they didn't take a shot on one of them that year the fans would of went nuts. Most QBs that get drafted even in the first round are busts. Do you hear all the fans even this year saying we need to draft a QB, but as soon as they do and it doesn't work out, they all scream for Whaley's head. Getting a QB worth a crap is like shooting darts blind folded. Most GM's get it wrong.

Turnovers kill, and TT is excellent and not giving the ball up to the other team. That is a huge strength and he extends drives and score touchdowns with his legs. He needs work finding open receivers and reading defenses, no doubt but EJ doesn't even come close to being as good as TT.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings. lol. Only problem is he would be back in 6-8 weeks, win the remainder of the games and go on to win the super bowl. We will have a better Wide Receiver added I'm sure after the draft. I am stoked to see Ragland play and Lawson will only get better. We have a much better coaching staff and I trust McDermotts defense will out work, out execute and have much more success than the Rex defenses.

Let the guys play because every time I hear guys are scrubs such as Zac Brown last year and Alexander they seem to produce. There was a time when I heard that same thing when we picked up a little guy named Steve Tasker. I'd be curious about what you said about Zac Brown last year at this time when we picked him up. I'm sure he was a bum too. Guys play different many times when they are put in position to succeed, just ask Alexander. I agree with you triple Threat, go be a Pats fan if you want to brag on them. I am so tired of our fans comparing us to the Pats. Compare the Pats to every team in the NFL. They are the best, they win more often than anyone, not just the Bills. They have the best QB to ever play in the NFL. Can we beat the Pats yes but I will take them 8 out of 10 times and especially when it counts. The Pats never carried much talent on their teams and I would say that most years the Bills had way more talent "BUT" there is only 1 Tom Brady so get over it.

I guess resigning Alexander makes us worse too. The Pats will be great every year regardless because they have Brady. The Patriots would have been a 500 team or worse for several of the last 10 years if they didn't have Brady. It actually is about time the Patriots had some other players worth a crap besides Brady. They have 4 or 5 solid players but Gronk, and all the receivers are superstars only because Brady throws them the ball. If we had Brady and he had our weapons we would of found ourselves in the Super Bowl several times as well. I get tired of everyone comparing us to the Pats because until Brady really drops off or retires we will never overcome them. We don't have the best QB of all time like they do.

He says he is coming in to camp much lighter next year and is already 10lbs lighter. Why not give him a shot at safety where you are not matched up as much with the speed receivers? Too say no thanks and to not even give it a thought would not seem to be smart. I would definitely entertain the idea of safety with a future Hall of Fame player who said he will play for the minimum. If he can't do the job then cut him but if he can you might have a very solid player who will play smart, give great leadership, and will be a positive addition to a defense that needs DB depth.

Promo, how long did it take you to cancel? What kind of hassle should I expect? I have my morning blocked off this Saturday because I know as soon as they know I'm cancelling they will probably put me on hold for a very long time hoping that I won't hold out. This of course after they offer me everything under the sun to stay with them.
