But will you still love them if they lose 23 - 13 to the Jets and EJ throws 2 picks due to rookie learning curve and we fumble away another, resulting in 3 short field Jet scoring drives (but otherwise look pretty good as a team) ?? That is the big question. I am looking for improvement among the inevitable setbacks. I see a premature playoff bandwagon starting to roll .... we've seen this before. But on the other hand, fan stands for fanatic, so all good. go bills.

EJ before GW drive: "Be legendary"
8-8 Forever? replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's only game 2 and the kid is just started and he will have some real stinkers this year, but I like the way Marrone & Co. are easing EJ in. No crazy 50 throw days. Reminds me very much how the Steelers handled Ben in his first year. Run the ball, dump it off and play great defense. Not sure this team has all the pieces to do this, but they seem to have most of them. We shall see. -
Three guys that need more chatter:
8-8 Forever? replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Legursky starts when healthy. Brown was never intended to start IMO. They took a chance when Levitre walked and are losing the bet so far. But the Bills line is pretty good so far in general. Left guard is the least important spot on the o line. -
"power rankings".... sigh... funny stuff. who cares
-
see, this is not necessary. can we do the competition on the field please. those guys are competitive as he.l, beat us in our own backyard , we have nothing to say about them. let it happen on the field. then you can crow and throw stuff at the Pats.

This. 2013 is the year to hide away and just get better and healthier. If we by some miracle are 7-3 after 10 games, then we can turn up the volume. Not now. No way.

Climbing the NFL Power Rankings
8-8 Forever? replied to Wazzu Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who cares. They are trying to get better and build a football team. This is not the year to be following f ing power rankings. This team has been in the crap for 17 years. Let's just enjoy the progress we have seen and hopefully will see in the future. Publicity is nice in the over hyped NFL, but this is not the year to chase it. -
Well, regrettably, that is what happens in the Ralph. When I go, I go alone, because I am embarrassed to bring anyone. I love what some cities are doing, planting undercover cops in opposing team jerseys in stadiums. I would love to watch the 5 guys in your example get arrested by the same guy they are taunting. That I would pay to see. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Undercover police officers wearing opposing teams’ jerseys will be attending Seahawks games to weed out unruly and “violent” fans, the team and Seattle police said. Beginning at Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, Seattle police officers will be placed throughout the stadium looking to bust fans that are drunk, harassing other spectators, throwing items on the field or engaging in “behavior that is unruly, disruptive or illegal,” according to a statement by the team. “We have great fans,” said Seahawks President Peter McLoughlin. “Our goal is to ensure a safe environment for all in attendance, including visiting team fans.” The effort follows similar undercover operations at other stadiums, police said, as well as an NFL-wide crackdown on safety that includes a recent ban on carrying purses and backpacks into stadiums.

Exactly. Let it go. Who cares. -
There is a totally different feeling
8-8 Forever? replied to Clockwork's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure things could be going much better. Its not about wins and losses this year, they need to get a team together, so if they play well and lose to the Jets this week, I will still say the same thing. But.... if these guys stay healthy... EJ is probably just going to get a little better and better each week... who knows. But that is for another time. -
Is There a Way To Re-Watch The Game?
8-8 Forever? replied to DefenseWinzChampionshipz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
NFL Rewind is promoting heavily. I bought the season for $40. It is very good assuming your internet connection is strong. -
Mario deserves praise for his game
8-8 Forever? replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. We shall see. He is a beast when he brings it, that is for sure. When he is on, he is like Reggie White, long and strong, power and speed. If he stays healthy and keeps bringing it like that, he could be in for a special season -
Headlines if pass interference wasn't called ...
8-8 Forever? replied to brucethomas34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the flag wasn't thrown the interference wasn't there, Stevie makes the catch and you get the same result. Keep the hypotheticals off the boards please, you are now actively searching for something to be sensitive about. Geez... something positive happens and we are hypothesizing (is that a word?) what if it didn't... yikes -
Blocks of Seats empty at Carolina Game
8-8 Forever? replied to bigK14094's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do not believe the club seats count for "sold out" status. Anyone know for sure? Frankly, I think lots of people just have the tics and don't go to every game. I know when I had seasons , I did not make it to every game and could not always find someone to go at the last minute. Plus once the blackout is lifted, lots of season ticket holders just stay home, maybe some are waiting for signs of hope, which they got yesterday. this. -
Probably happen next year. Can't expect miracles this year. This is the rebuilding year for the expansion team. 6-10. draft 11th. the usual. ........ But miracles are real.

I've seen the replay 3 times now. I liked what I saw. Agressive D play, turnovers , D players right there when the ball was , etc. O Line and EJ stood right up and played. Penalties and turnovers did them in, not play from scrimmage. So a lot to be positive about. They will get there. Couldn't say that with Fitz and crew. EJ + Woods + TJ greater than Fitz, Jones and Nelson. No question , talent level is rising. LG and some other positions are disasters but cannot fix it all in 1 year.
-
Well, the club seat types will never be blasted on their feet screaming. Not their deal. Country club crowd. Good fans, blah blah, but not going to change a game.
-
The franchise has done its best to kill him, though. New players cannot understand how fans feel about the franchise ......., players come and go. Fans are under contract for life... that's a long time. Feelings change ... right now, the 12th man perhaps is tired and out of gas after 17 years and now in "wait and see" mode
-
If the good play continues, it will build. Looked pretty rockin' on the replay I watched. Beautiful day.
-
When you win , all this stuff goes away. Problem is, the Bills don't win.
-
I liked what they did pressure wise - were in the backfield all day. The expansion team showed well on Sunday. They keep doing that, they will be competitive in every game, maybe win a few. Here's hoping.
