  1. looks like 6 -10 to me. draft 13th. what else is new. hopefully no stadium falls or deaths. small favors.
  2. In a heartbeat. Cutler is dynamite.
  3. OH Boy. and somehow that is a measure of success in the NFL? the pro bowl is a joke. beauty contest. should be abandoned. its what , a pickup game now right with prime time and some other guy picking sides? man what a laugher.
  4. This game should be moved to next season. no point in playing it this season. can you imagine how f ing cold it will be at 7pm in the Ralph. there will be about 14 fans at this game.
  5. Not so sure EJ is the guy. Even in the wins, he doesn't really impress me. Maybe year 2 we see something. The team is mailing it in around him, so this year is effectively over.
  6. This is what I am concerned about. EJ is just a great guy, but I want an edgy guy who wants to win more than anything is the world. Give me Johnny Football. And his WR Evans as well. Not sure EJ is the guy.
  7. Bingo. I am not sold on EJ Manuel. But these are early days. We need to burn another couple 8-9 loss seasons before we can tell. Boy , you really need a QB in this league now. A good running game is very helpful, but you can't win with a good run game and a good defense. You need to put points up. Lots of points. That is today's NFL. If we are top 5 drafting, I would take another QB. Or go get Cutler. Do something. I can't watch EJ Manuel spend the next 2 seasons growing up. Too much pain.
  8. Well, they're pretty much running' for the bus at this point. As a fan, you might as well shut er down at this point. The KC and Falcons losses just killed em in terms of playoff thoughts. If I'm making $3-4m a year I am thinking about staying healthy at this point and making sure I am ready to make another $3-4m next year. This is not HS or College football. The coaches will coach and the players will play, but don't look for any WR taking crazy risks over the middle. Look for O lineman playing hard but staying out of pileups. Look for RBs getting down instead of getting blasted. Business decisions by players. Kind of like preseason. Just the way it is. Hackett will be there as long as Marrone is. So get used to looking at him for at least two seasons or until Ralph passes, the team sells and everything gets blown up.
  9. Yep. They didn't draft him, the big money has been paid out the cap hit is relatively small. He obviously does not have the physique, the work ethic or the desire to be a slot guy .. injury prone and too big a target… has made his $$ and now is just trying to avoid a career ending injury. Playing like a guy with a family, which he is. Who knows? Bills are mailing it in at this point. This is just like preseason, with guys getting cut and new guys getting a look. They are back to building a team and less interested in winning at all costs.
  10. Well, looks like you won't be spending a dollar on the Bills. The "blow it all up" crowd had their say last year. Need to wait 2 more years to be heard. Sorry. And unless Ralph has superman genes (which he may), by then the explosion will be much larger than just a few coaches on the sh_t list from time to time.
  11. Stevie short arming that ball that was picked said it all. He's not gonna let some inaccurate rookie QB put him in the hospital in a meaningless game this close to the offseason vacation time. Just mail it in Stevie. You did the damage last week. Let someone else play. Quote MultiQuote =2998048&st=&auth_key=270f25e7b0b2f24b1362b753f529dca8"]Delete Edit

  13. Yeah, they might as well lose out at this point. Mail it in. Stevie short arming that ball that was picked said it all. He's not gonna let some inaccurate rookie QB put him in the hospital in a meaningless game this close to the offseason vacation time.
  14. Well, looks like we'll get a shot at another supposedly good QB in the draft. Not sure about EJ. Nice guy but could take a while to develop. Ralph and the franchise will be gone before this team is any good.
  15. Well, looks like this has become the preseason "run for the bus" part of the schedule. Can't say I'm surprised. These are your Buffalo Bills. Wow, amazing how they come apart on the road.
  16. Yep, pretty much preseason games at this point.
  17. you can tell the Bills season is over when an f ing SEC title game thread pops up. yikes. it really is over.
  18. It is amazing to see the image of the Bills as patsies lingering to this day. To the rest of the league, losing to the Bills is like getting beat up by a 12 yr old girl. This franchise better turn it around pretty soon. These images stick with people a long time.
  19. I'm just glad I ditched the Sunday NFL ticket this year. I had a feeling this season would be painful. How painful watching this season could have been. Whew. Dodged that bullet. NFL rewind is all I have this year. Unfortunately, the Redskins sucked too.
  20. its a great deal for the team the Bills play. think about it. for the Seahawks or Falcons or Redskins, they get at worst a neutral field and they get half of a gate that is double what they would get if the game was played at the Ralph, assuming the gate receipts splitting rules work the same way in Toronto. Plus the bills get $4-5M where at the Ralph on a cold snowy day in December they might get $2m (assuming no sellout). and this is why the games are going to always be in December … the Ralph might net total gate receipts of maybe$4m , in Toronto it's a 9.75m deal no matter what. … that's more than double. From the perspective of the franchise, this is one way to make up for extremely low ticket prices and therefore very low revenue (relative to other franchises who do not play in the economic equivalent of Akron) from games at the Ralph. The more I do the math, the more I am convinced the days of $40 tickets to games at the Ralph are rapidly coming to an end. The league has passed this franchise by. It is sad as I grew up in that stadium and its parking lots, but it is what it is. The NFL is big business driven by TV money, TV ratings and to a lesser extent by game day stadium revenues, and the Bills franchise in WNY cannot deliver either one.
  21. well then…. go bills!
  22. Exactly. Bad losing franchise with a young unproven QB and a coaching staff one heartbeat away from being replaced. Yeah, thats a great spot… and did i mention its in you-know-where? Legurskys and Strouds and Florences are what we will get. Unless we absolutely break the bank, a al Mario, but can only do that once.
  23. Not a chance. NYS , and especially WNY has no ability to bankroll a $1B facility used a maybe 20 times per year. Not a chance. NYS is a dead state financially. Can you say "peace bridge"? So unless the next owner of the Bills is willing to build a stadium a la Jerry Jones, it is not happening. No chance of selling PSLs in WNY. So that source of financing for a stadium is gone.
