Playoff games having trouble Selling Out
8-8 Forever? replied to John in Jax's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
GB did not know they were in until the last minute. tough to sell out a stadium in a few days. -
Well, you have a choice on Defense in the NFL… you can play Wanny-ball , catch and react and hope the offense screws up somewhere along the way on the drive. Or you can attack, because turnovers and negative plays are how you stop offenses in today's NFL. You will give up big plays now and again, yes, but hopefully you also give your offense 3 or 4 short fields every game. Putting a practice squad QB and rookie coaches up a against HOF coaches and HOF QB ultimately cost us the Pats game. Thad missed like 3 TD throws in that game that Brady makes all day. We were never going to win that game. Don't have the horses yet. Someday.

yeah, but he is just placating the media who needs stories to write. if he doesn't give them crap to write about, he's crushed for being aloof and not having a plan, if he goes on and on, then every word is dissected. like you said , a top 15 QB makes all of this go away. the NFL has made this a QB's league, if you have one, all can be overcome as a coach, if you don't you absolutely get fired within 3 years. that is the model.

they simply do not want to be in Buffalo. Period. He is gone. Parker will take Carrington out as well. Worked out for Jason Peters. He's in the playoffs on a 3 seed. Bills are 6-10 for like the 8th year in a row.

Yep, no QB this year. Probably O Line, WR and TE. QB, Def in FA. We shall see.

Now we know what Aaron Maybin was supposed to be...

stop talking about Maybin, the guy got a pile of $$ and was a colossal bust. nuf said. Happens all the time in the NFL… -
Bills quietly move up to #7 overall defense in NFL
8-8 Forever? replied to BobChalmers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Until you have a top 10 QB, you ain't goin' anywhere other than to have pretty stats ….. give me a top 10 defense, no QB and a buck and I'll give you a cup of coffee,… but next year is another year… go bills Pettine's style will always give up big plays… watch how much more careful he will be with Brady… -
Rosenthal bold face lies about EJ in an NFL.com…
8-8 Forever? replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ gets an "I" for incomplete. we just don't know. and we will burn next season finding out. lets hope he is not Ponder 2.0. We shall see. -
Alex Carrington.... i don't get it
8-8 Forever? replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

Yep. Manuel is lucky he doesn't see the field .. now they simply still don't know what they have and need to burn next season as well finding out. Sucks to be a Bills fan. Buffalo boy?? the kids from f ing Florida. Went to UB because it was his only scholarship offer. Only a 2 star coming out of HS.

Todd McShay Mock Draft 1.0
8-8 Forever? replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. the buffalo Bills revolving door. of course, team probably sold and moved by then with new ownership actually putting winning ahead of cheaping out on FAs. -
Bills' Blackout Threats Are a Joke
8-8 Forever? replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These types of viewpoints almost guarantee the team will be moving when it is sold. Totally out of touch with the reality of the NFL, a reality you may not like, but reality nonetheless. The team needs to go where it can be grown and developed in the cold light of today's NFL, instead of being some kind of cute little "Bull Durham" minor league franchise with free ice cream at the 7th inning stretch and free tickets for those under 10 and over 70. . -
Lewis to start / Manuel out
8-8 Forever? replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
just shut em all down, Manuel, Spiller, etc. this season is beyond over . Lets get to 5 - 11 and go get some more players in the draft. -
I think the Bills need to draft incredibly well again b/c all these guys will be thinking about testing the market. This franchise is not the place to be if the same $$ are available elsewhere. Its happened too many times in the past to be just coincidence. It's the old "do I take a chance on getting hurt in my contract year or do I take the cash while healthy and sign an "OK" contract now from a probably going nowhere Bills franchise"? Tough one. Guys must be wondering what they are getting into when they are drafted by the Bills.

Zip vs Loft on EJ's Throws
8-8 Forever? replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rookie. His in-game footwork will improve , the game will slow down, and you'll see the zip then. the kid is so in over his head right now… it will come… we knew we'd have to suffer through this. I just hope he is isn't Christian Ponder 2.0. He has some really fine traits that I hope he builds on. there's that word again….. hope. -
Most important post I've seen, someone who was actually at the game. Shame we will be picking 10th and miss out on Bridgewater and Manziel. Typical Bills. Just good enough to not get any better.

Listening to WGR post game is a waste of time
8-8 Forever? replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That high ankle spain never healed . He needed to shut down for 4 or 5 weeks and he never did it and the coaches never made him do it. Give him credit he did what most RBs could not do. Just taped it up and kept going, saying nothing. -
Good Post. Everyone, this is how you should be looking at this game.

First half thread Bills vs. Jags

I'd take him in a minute, even if EJ is doing reasonably well. -
First half thread Bills vs. Jags
8-8 Forever? replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
not sure EJ is the guy, guys….. he looks pretty lost out there.. he should not look this lost at this point. he is not processing very quickly.. the game is way too fast for him… keep telling yourself.. "he's just a rookie, he's just a rookie"….. -
If we win these next three games...
8-8 Forever? replied to Wesdawg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) Losing out probably means EJ has mailed it in and is not necessarily the guy and looking for another QB is in play. 2) Winning out means EJ probably played well enough to carry them, as most of team is playing not to get hurt at this point. Anything in the middle makes the offseason decision making a mess once again. I almost hope they lose out so they go get Cutler and Clowney. Now you got a team. -
Its a passing league...right?
8-8 Forever? replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Although it is a passing league no doubt and the pass game is how you win most games, getting into a pass game shootout with the Broncos away from home is still unwise. So, old school away game against strong offensive team; play keep away with the run game. No conflict at all with the new NFL as a passing league.. the rules are set up to encourage passing and scoring. No doubt. Last night was an outlier. -
Nate Jackson recounts his NFL injuries and treatments
8-8 Forever? replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Amazing. Tough job. And this guy was only a WR/TE. Imagine how hurt the other positions tend to be, the bigger guys the guys who hit or get hit on every play. Heck I played every down in high school and I was hurt all the time. And that was just crappy little high school. Football is very bad for your body. I still feel some of the injuries now, like 100 years later….
