  1. oh i love it. "Big Sammy" ... that is great. a keeper
  2. that was a once in a career play. to avoid down by contact , get up and go.. that's very unusual
  3. Good point. My everlasting theory is this franchise is too good to get great players and too bad to get to the playoffs. Hence the 8-8 handle. Had a moment of pure optimic fandom this morning. So far today they are turning it over in the red zone and ST has stunk. So, again, they are doing just enough to keep it interesting but not enough to get it done. 8 - 8 forever. Good call out.
  4. Browns arent winning, playoff run starts today.
  5. 7am today: WGR "Breakfast with the Bills" guys completely writing off this team for the playoffs. Debating 7-9 vs. 8-8. That's it. I see this team as: healthy, playing well, can run and throw well enough and has a top 5 defense. They'll need health, some red zone turnovers and some special team magic, but I can see my way to 10-6 and sneaking in. Let the new Bills emerge !! Go Bills. They have a team for December.
  6. If we go 4-1 to close the season we will be so freaking happy the playoffs won't matter.
  7. Agreed. I would imagine he will be gone. Someone will give him 10 mil per year. Bills are not doing that.
  8. Yep, a 2+ turnover differential inside either 35 yard line will decide this one, just like they do most NFL games. Has anyone done that stat? W-L when either 2+ turnover differential inside, say either of the 40's or the 35yd line? I bet that stat would be an interesting one. PIcks, fumbles, blocked kicks..
  9. and it was relatively inexpensive to build. do not need a fancy stadium... keep the ticket prices affordable.
  10. no top tier prospect wants to coach the Bills. who'd want THAT job.. ?
  11. Season's shot. Gave away the KC game with fumbles. That was the game that ended the season. Put Tuel in for all I care. When you fumble away 14 points at/near the goal line it doesn't matter who the QB is. You will lose every time. Miami played well... they are pretty good team. We had the KC game won if Brown simply protects the d--n football for two seconds. We just don't have what it takes when it really matters. in that game it was ball security at critical moments when the player should have known the strip was coming. We turnovered our way to oblivion. Again. I just don't care. I am going to watch other games. The Bills are good, but just don't have what it takes to win when the moment comes.
  12. Because we are out of it. Looked like crap in National TV again. Bills just let you down. The future is not clear at all. could be starting all over again next year. One more loss and players will start checking out. that's why. Pats and Broncos will absolutely put a beat down on the Bills and they will be national news the monday after. that's why. I'm glad McK is out. that fumble against KC did us in.
  13. Yeah they are pretty much backed into a corner. Win and get 10 days off get guys healthy and your 6-4. Lose, your 5-5, 2-5 in the conference and you are toast. Probably toast win or lose, but at 6-4 (3-4 in the conference) and 10 days between games and two conference home games coming up, you have a shot at 8-4 (5-4 in the conference) and then you are there to the end. So yeah, they've run out of get out of jail cards. this is it regarding any kind of playoff run.
  14. at least. No way to win the East. Pats just too good. 11-5 to make playoffs. Have a bad feeling about this. must go 4-0 or at least 3-1 over next 4 games to make it. Hard to imagine it, but thats why they play the games i guess... go bills
  15. He's Alex Smith, but with swag. Love 'im
  16. OLine not good enough to throw it 40 times a game. Period. Stop this madness. Next year maybe, but we have what, three low draft choices, undrafted guys learning how to play. Gotta do both. Loss of Jackson as a pass blocker was big. that another reason for all the run plays . Defense was good. Turnovers win games.
  17. yeah. williams is probably still a punk at heart. we just don't see the behind the scenes. Plus marrone did want to go tight end heavy against the Pats (which worked by the way), they needed ST bodies badly and Williams does not play ST - Hogan does. His explanation why he sat Williams from a football perspective made sense to me. Its a numbers game. Add to that the crap behind the scenes with Williams the person and it all makes some sense. Let it go. Its one game. send a message. these players are 20 somethings and Williams probably never had anyone sit on him. Looks like Marrone sat on him.
  18. Pretty limited stat, teams just step back and throw it. Why bother running when you can throw for 3 or 4 scores.
  19. Excuse me, but we've had the Chiefs at the Ralph like 4 years in a row now.
  20. there it is .... Orton knows what he wants and pushes the ball down the field... .yeah that means sacks will happen and sometimes strip sacks will come, but as Scott Chandler said last night, Orton has command, dictates to and/or teaches the WRs where they need to be if this happens or that happens... this guy gets it. Best QB we've had in years. I am not worried about the QB position going forward...
  21. Orton's numbers would have been great had WRs not taken chippy stupid penalties. And we would have scored more points. Defense got blown up in this game, plain and simple. Not having Aaron Williams was a killer vs. Pats TEs. Helluva game not to have AW. But Pats do that to pretty much everyone. We will see, Brady can't do everything and they are getting pretty banged up. We came out healthy I think. It's a long season.
  22. In the NFL, turnover margins decide games. Every team has a 70 or 80 yard drive or two every game, but the number of short field 20 and 40 yard drives decide who wins. Take away the Pats turnover points and the game is tied. If Hughes strips Brady and Orton hangs on, thats like 60 to 80 yards of field position change, maybe more. its all about turnovers. offensive penalties on otherwise positive plays are a close second, and Bills had a 3 of those that killed them. All good, Jets and Vikings next. Go get some wins.
