A great opportunity for the Bills this week
8-8 Forever? replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills are not the same quality of QB and/or coach/staff as most all of the teams they have lost to this year. It really is that simple. The NFL has geared itself to favor a offensively creative, passing game and we don't really have those pieces at the quality level we see from the top 10 teams. Bills as presently constituted are not a playoff team. Good team. Top 20. but not a playoff team. need some more big pieces. not many, but some. -
Pack Bills Predicion; Please include score
8-8 Forever? replied to Clippers of Nfl's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hard to tell. we could probably score on GB. who knows . in the past , this would be the come down game after a season changing loss where the wheels fall off. hope not -
We got a baller there. No worries with that kid. Watch out in year 2 and 3. He has now played against the best in the league this year, sometimes twice. He has learned a great lesson and still made plays. Good year 1. No issues.

+1. A good O-line draft, find a QB, make Schwartz HC and get a creative OC and we are good. Not that big an ask. Schwartz becomes Pegula's guy, Marrone and Hackett are out, the draft is the draft. Finding a QB is the tough part. If EJ is not going to cut it, then trade for a guy who fits what the new OC wants to do. No QBs coming from the draft this year. Yeah, Whaley is safe. No question. His moves have been great so far. No misses that I can see. Drafts have been solid. EJ was the best prospect in a year where it appears in 20/20 hindsight now that their were possibly no prospects at all. So they tried. I can see them not signing Orton and going in yet another direction with a new OC and QB to fit the new guy. Draft O Line in round 2 this year. They are building a team. They are almost there. Give it three more games and we will know. They need to run the table. Might be able to do it. Every week is a new week.

Bills at Broncos Postgame
8-8 Forever? replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
but he's right, they are not a playoff football team based on what we've seen. but 3 games left. we shall see. need to run the table. have no idea how they'll do that, but that is what it will take to make believers out of non believers. Rodak is just calling it the way he (and the rest of us in all honesty) sees it. They are not a playoff team. Looks like an 8-8 team to me. Good , but not good enough. We shall see. 12 th man really needs to come out this coming Sunday. -

I Hate All mannings Especially Pencil Neck Peyton

This is the kind of moronic post that makes me want to scream. You embarrass yourself, the franchise and the community. Nice going. Further the prevailing image of WNY as a bunch of 8th grade educated factory workers who can't spell their own name. Nice going. From all appearances, the Mannings are about as all american/stand up people as you can get. And people wonder why the media laughs alternatively at the franchise and the city. Well there you have it. -
The answers are coming in the next 4 weeks
8-8 Forever? replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just hope posters to the board wait the full 4 weeks before deciding. More likely, we will lose an away game at 6000 ft to the the reigning AFC champs/HOF QB , who are actually better than they were last year, and most TBD posters will poop the bed and throw everyone under the bus. I, for one, believe the team is a highly drafted OLineman or two plus a franchise QB away being a top 10 team. That's it. They have everything else that is necessary. Of course, by the time they pull those pieces together, other pieces will fall off b/c we don't resign our own players. Maybe Pegs will be different. We will see with Hughes. -
ACL tear and a broken ankle? those are tough to recover from. I suspect we haven't heard the last from RGIII

MMQB: 2015 will be seismic year for QBs

QBs will fall to late round1, round 2 and later with the running backs. that's about it. immediate impact players will go in 1st. -
How will you react to a blowout?
8-8 Forever? replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, bandwagon is building up steam now.... and its a late game, meaning additional alcohol. the vitriol that will spew about 8pm EST Sunday on this board will be legendary. Well, I tried to let some out pre-game, but may be hopeless. this is fan-atic board, to be sure. all good. go bills. you can do ... it. i think... when pigs fly, or Mr. HOF tosses 4 picks and/or gets knocked out of the game during the national anthem... or something. anything... -

How will you react to a blowout?
8-8 Forever? replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok ok, I'm done with this thread. Just hoping people don't get too excited for this one. If this turns out to be the game the franchise turned the corner on (like the Cornelius Bennett blocked punt game years ago) then awesome. But if the likely scenario occurs, people gotta realize its a 16 game season and there are 3 more to play. No one else is lighting it up right now, so lets keep fighting and we'll add it up when this 4 game mini - season is over. -
Toronto series is over. IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!!
8-8 Forever? replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good. Good business deal, but bad for the franchise and the fans. the silver lining may have been that is revealed just how weak the Toronto market might be for someone thinking of moving the team there.. so maybe some benefit -

How will you react to a blowout?
8-8 Forever? replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly!! Its a week to week league! One weeks results have nothing to do with what will happen the next week. Excellent progress! But most of you react to a single loss, especially a blowout, like the f ing world has collapsed, the entire team needs to go , the coaches all need to be fired, the world is flat and so on and so on. I'm just trying to get all that 8th grade sh_t out there b4 the game . given the post title, obviously I'm "trolling" for reactions to the question (geez, thanks for calling out the troll... genius , really) , but with 66 posts the idea doesn't appear boring as most know how this game is likely going to play out. We're all fans and that makes some of us completely irrational, especially after 14 years, but I'll stop trolling to extract mindless garbage before the game if this group stops posting mindless thoughtless garbage 10 minutes after the game. so many posters frankly embarrass the board and the city with juvenile knee jerk post game comments. After a loss, some of you, Go beat the cat for 2 hours, sleep on it, then come back on Monday with thoughtful posts for once. Go Bills. Could be a lot worse, you could be surrounded by Redskins and Cowboys fans like I am. -

Just saying, let's let the blood now, get it all out. We know we are not winning that game on Sunday. My point is, Marrone has it right IMO, you look at the season as 4, four game seasons. This is game 1 of the last quarter of the season. Only game 1. So if we are going to be stupid and irrational and throw out the baby and the bathwater over a road loss to the defending AFC champion, lets do it now.. The defining play of the 2014 season, without question. -

sigh.... the "revenge on the Broncos for ditching me for Tebow " game for Orton ? OMG stop it now. Network will play this angle up you know it... and then Orton will go out and put up 20. Great. Just saying there are 4 games left, not just one. Just need to win 2 of them. 9-7 might get it done. 10-6 and you'll be nominating Marrone for president. Need lots of help after Brown blew the KC game for us with one key fumble, but it can be done. -

Fan for far longer than you've been alive I suspect. Grew up in that cold slab of a stadium a long time ago. So lets not go there. But be realistic. Manning vs. Orton? Demarcus Ware or Von Miller vs the 7th rounder we have playing RT? The fan in me will be rooting as always. But let's be realistic, they will be on National Late game I assume and will get destroyed. You know it's going to happen. Bills will fail to run the ball, pass 40 times and Miller/Ware will kill Orton. You know its going to happen. Manning will put up 20 alone on the 3 or 4 short fields he'll get and D Thomas will catch 10 balls for 150. This is Tulane playing at LSU. We're just not there yet. But neither are Ravens, Bengals, or Steelers , who gave up 100+ between them last Sunday. So we can make the playoffs, the fans need to take the good with the bad... and this Sunday will be bad. -
Assuming we lose... I mean really , everyone knows in good conscience we have no real shot at this game, Manning will have 10-12 offensive possessions and will shred the D on half or more of them; Orton will put up, like 20 points. So, assuming 38-20 (you know this is what the score will be...), how will you react, knowing we still have a shot if we beat Oakland and either NE or the Packers? Lets get ahead of this, how will you react to a blowout? Reasonably?, knowing we had no reasonable shot going in, or be an idiot and go nuts b/c you can't beat last years AFC champ/HOF QB on the road in December in a game they need as much as we do.? Discuss. Might as well do it now. I still think we can be in the tournament, but we have no shot in this one particular game, IMHO.
