  1. Get me a top 10 quarterback and they can wear yellow polkadots for all i care.
  2. I live in the D.C. area. There are obviously 10s of thousands of transplants here from the good ole mass WNY exodus of the 70s/80's and 90"s, but if you talk to others (DC is a city of in migration) , Buffalo, the Bills are completely irrelevant. The franchise is simply no longer in the NFL conversation, and of course the city is completely off the map (other than Buffalo=snow-in-June, that kind of stuff) . Just sayin'. Been here 30 years and its been the same. Thanks a lot Jimmy Griffin. Good job.
  3. hard to say. with ground and pound Roman/Rex in town, i guess big time QBs are out. so... who knows,
  4. hindsight is 20-20. let it go. the kid can play-- at least we have a real talent at WR for the first time probably since Moulds . move forward people please. the past is in the past.
  5. Looks like Marrone might get shut out. this year at least. He'll be back in the college ranks before long. Where he may belong. we shall see.
  6. 15 years of covering a loser has, understandably, turned them into something ugly i would imagine. kind of like the rest of us. kind of inevitable. look in the mirror. the media is supposed to reflect the audience's deep down impressions , not just the homer fan stuff, right? i think they do that. sad, but it is what it is until the franchise turns it around and is a winner. people like winners. not losers.
  7. New owner, new everything. thats the problem with having a 96 year old owner. everything being blown up was just around the corner. is what it is. go bills.
  8. When Ralph passed, the whole thing was inevitably going to be blown up. Never a doubt about that. Get over it. The Team could just as easily been moved out of WNY. Be glad that did not happen. The most important thing got done in the best way imaginable with the Pegs coming in. Deep pockets. Committed to winning. Young stable ownership. with all due respect, you Can't say any of that about Ralph this century...
  9. funny, running the ball with a few timely deep throws didn't work for the Cowboys this year. that is a model for getting to the playoffs but is no longer the model for getting to the SB. putting Seattle aside, which has everything, the other 3 teams have great QBs, relatively poor defenses, decent to non-existent run games and throw it a ton and score lots and lots of point through the air. That is the primary way you win in the playoffs in the NFL now. Go get me Jay Cutler, now. Not sure Roman as OC isn't old school ground and pound. That's a problem. Can't win the big one that way anymore.
  10. The Big Picture is we now need an NFL calibre QB. Without that piece all the coaching garbage is pretty meaningless. Plus you don't win with defense in the NFL anymore. You win with offense. Defense is for show. Offense/QB play is for dough. Look at the final 4 QBs . probably the best 4 in the league. that is not a coincidence. Go get Cutler and get him now.
  11. The minute the team was sold, all of this was put in motion. You don't spend $1b+ and not put your own people in. And new HC bring their own people in as well. This isn't fantasy football. This is real football. We knew it was all getting blown up as soon as Ralph passed. Get over it people.
  12. Couldn't have said it better. Best, most concise and to the point post I've seen in months.
  13. He has the crazy agent. Same one that'll take Gilmore out of here once he makes pro bowl and his rookie deal is up.
  14. Correct. Nate Hackett will be forgotten by the end of the month.
  15. Git er done. Injuries always prevent LB crew from making it intact for an entire season, but on paper starting LB crew looks very good regardless of who the DC is. Spikes is an interesting situation. Hope they can keep him, but in a pass first league, his kind of going the way of the dodo, especially with a stud D Line. If Spikes wants the moon, give Spikes' $$ to Hughes and draft an LB. Plus we have a couple LBs backups who can play as well. Hell, I could play behind that front 4. Go Bills!
  16. Well, he would solve the whole HC vs GM politics, because he would be both. Plus you get his son Kyle, who did a good job with RGIII. You may lose Schwartz, but maybe not. If you lose Schwatz, you get Haslett, who was good in DC until everyone got hurt on defense. Very aggressive DC. I am in DC, and that team had it going before RGIII tore up the knee, then came back too soon, then their entire O Line fell apart. And having seen a lot of both guys, EJ is probably at least as capable as RGIII. Shanahans would be expensive, but hopefully that is no longer an issue. Go Pegs. You already blew $1B four, whats another 10 mil per year.
  17. I doubt they take QB at 50. Gotta be O Line. But sure, in later rounds take a project. We need experienced QB help now. Give me Foles or Sanchez or someone who can just give me 25td and 10 int and we can win with that. Plus draft another project guy.
  18. I am still in amazement that flag was picked up. Amazement. With like 50million people watching.
  19. Good idea. No one in the media will dare protest the move either... but since he was never convicted, taking the name down may bring a defamation suit from OJ's lawyers, though, as the presumption will be that the Bills believe he is guilty. Which is probably why its still up there in the first place. Its all about legal risk, nothing else...
  20. He would make the running game go. Interesting idea. Whaley would take a back seat though.
  21. Yeah this needs to end quickly. Lots of football business to do.
