Can we petition to have mike rodak fired?
8-8 Forever? replied to JP's Voice's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
guys guys guys, please. anyone with a national perspective is always going to be "meh" relative to the Bills and WNY, win lose or draw.. just not a franchise or a place national media types give a crap about. sorry, but its true. even if the Bills go 11-5 and win a playoff game, WNY will always be that cold , old place in their eyes. Just sayin' .. be ready for it. 3rd tier markets, wherever they are, get no love and never will. "hey, lets go cover a Bills game in December... um,, no... " 20-something writers want to get to the big markets, not be stuck writing about a team in Buffalo. Imagine the reaction at a party when you say you write about the bills. meh. sorry, we all love 'em, but we are largely alone. is what it is. go bills. -
um right. great. offseason is slow. when is next deal. need about 2 a week to keep me interested.

I love it. Sends a message. The Bills are upgrading their talent anywhere they can. Shady is fantastic. Ever seen him play? This is great. The Bills are back. No more draft and hope. Now its go get proven talent. I do not think they are done either. Wait until FA opens . More fireworks. Still have $15-20m or so to spend silly negative b lo person. downer downer. I assume you are also pissing and moaning that "the ice boom won't be out of the lake until like July..... " blah blah. heard it all before. franchise is finally moving forward after all these years and these guys down in the snow bunker get all analytical ... well i guess it is a opinion board... -
Pick #50 (Now that McCoy has been traded)

Depends on how Free Agency goes. No way to speculate at this point. Free Agency speculation is valid at this point. Drafting strategy is just BPA at this point. -
Has Dealer Doug earned benefit of the doubt?

Shady+Bryce+ Booby = Bye Freddy

nah... I'd cut Bryce Brown on the strength of his game losing KC game fumble alone. -
I am going to assume the poster is referring to perhaps the last 5 years or so of RWs ownership, where the franchise was treading water a bit to be sure. With stable, deep pocketed, committed ownership now the game has indeed changed. A Rex Ryan type is not coming to the team with Ralph in his final years, for example. That kind of thing... Remember, most posters on this board are not 100 years old like some of us. All they've seen is 2nd/3rd tier players/coaches playing/coaching out Ralph final years ... The franchise is being run differently now. As I say, get your popcorn. Barring a bunch of IR-type injuries to high salary cap guys, this roster is going to rock it out on the field for a while . OBD is not fooling around in Detroit's shadow anymore.

Your next Bills QB will be...the Sanchise.
8-8 Forever? replied to ChanOverChin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow this board is all over the place. we clearly have no clue. lets just let it play out. there is no obvious solution. lets get hughes signed, get another Olineman signed in FA, Get Clay signed, we have work to do. QB probably sanchez i guess.... but no great oh boy in that. the guy can play a little and is damaged goods so, $$ won't be too bad -
Shaun Hill: Polian would take a hard look
8-8 Forever? replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
exactly. the ultimate no name QB. -
don't know yet. he was pulled pretty fast last year. obviously Marrone's judgement is open to question at this point. so who knows. Marrone was acting in his own self interest last year

[closed]Josh McCown's career Stats
8-8 Forever? replied to Russ 'Em's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
pretty sure McCown won't be the starter.... but we'll see. I could see Sanchez getting in on this as well. Pegs and crew are not going to sit on the this QB issue. new sheriffs are in town. get your popcorn. -

The all Sam Bradford thread
8-8 Forever? replied to NextYearGuys's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Git er done. Ground/Pound , play D, Keep em upright and the Guy can play. EJ will back him up and be ready. PLUS, you have to remember that what we do in this area effects what every other free agent thinks about coming here. Getting a Bradford is a serious big time "we are back" move by the Bills. -
guy can't play. out of the league for a reason. If he could play, he could be blue with yellow stripes and he'd have been on a roster.
-
I'd rather get Mallett or someone like that who has adjusted to the pro game (tight coverage , pressure, tough throws) already. We're too good now in other areas to screw around with the spread offense-to- NFL rookie QB learning curve. Need to pull a KC, get an Alex Smith type and move forward. EJ and Mallett would be a good pair to have around. Sanchez as well maybe, i think the guy has talent, upside, knows what is takes. Whether they can do it at a SB level is open, but there are only a half dozen QBs who have SB cred anyway. UFA pickup. don't have the picks to waste one on him
-
Plus Roman likes mobility. Not getting the perfect guy, guys. Sanchez, Mallett, a couple others, that's about it other than EJ and a poor QB college class from spread offenses. Roman and David Lee have their work cut out for them. The CBA screws them in that they can't work with EJ in the off season.

What happens with Marquise Goodwin?
8-8 Forever? replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, a lot of guys (spikes, Goodwin, spiller) are refugees from another coaching regime, the "dead men walking" just coaching and waiting for Ralph's demise and the inevitable blow up of the coaching staff and change in philosophies that come with it. So, this is just natural, the real one is does this coaching staff move on from EJ as yet another refugee from the Marrone college coaching regime. -
