  1. obviously, if EJ beats out Cassel then all is right with the world and we actually do have an answer at QB. Marrone messed him up by benching him. maybe it will all work out. Maybe Shady and EJ are so freakin motivated to show the world, that they play to their abilities... wouldn't that be cool to see play out.... go bills . get your popcorn.
  2. yeah i'm not stressed about not having a 1st rounder. the team got what it really needed - stable deep pocketed ownership and a real NFL coaching staff, two things it hasn't had in 20 years. both of which are way more important than draft choices. all good. Plus they knew this draft was predicted to be low grade when they traded the pick. they already know what next years draft will be like. Scouts and rating agencies have been following the top 50 players since high school for crying out loud...
  3. what is channel 4? are you guys in like the 70's ? who the heck watches local network programming anymore? zzzzz
  4. I would sign him simply to keep him away from the Pats.
  5. McCoy + this is why freddo will likely be a casualty of all this. All good. Things change. Awesome career for Fredex despite playing for lame duck ownership and crappy coaches. Hey things could have turned out a lot worse for Fred after NFL Europe folded on him. Bills kept him and the rest is history. One of the few true NFL Europe success stories. Of course on the flipside if FJ doesn't come along Lynch is probably still on the roster tearing it up instead.
  6. with mccoy in town, he is essentially cut as he will not see much of the field roster is limited, cuts have to be made. winning trumps loyalty in the NFL. need fast healthy talented backs until we can find a QB
  7. yeah he's never getting the 2nd big contract, so this was it.. might as well cash in. could be on IR by September.....
  8. well.... sounds like Pegs wasn't going to extend him which means Pegs was going to move to his own coach anyway come 2016, so Marrone quite frankly was somewhat pushed to pull the ripcord.... staying another year as a dead man walking w/o a QB and w/o support from the front office would have sealed his fate and another 8-8 season.. and he would have missed out on the 4mil... when he took the job, Marrone had to know he was the "bridge " guy until Ralph passed and new ownership probably brought their own guys in. why else would you insist on (and the Bills agree to) the severance package . i think deep down, all parties knew what Marrone's hiring was all about. he was a temp.
  9. An undrafted Division 3 RB who had a 10+ year professional football career. I think Fred got all he could get and more out of his football career. Walk away healthy and happy if it comes to that. Trent freakin Richardson won't do a third of what Fred did.
  10. Love 'im, but Fred represents the past, the Jauron/Gailey/Marrone dark time. Time to move on it would appear. Life goes on.
  11. that's how you do it. Lets worry about Dareus in 6 months. This is not the time. Dareus is not Suh, either.
  12. oh please. this the NFL, not the local rugby club
  13. Well, I guess by weeks end all will be known. So lets just wait and see. Love the way OBD is getting after it. Lets see what they come up with, shall we?
  14. Yes. All day and all night. Cutler changes this team overnight. He's an oddball, but hey we were good with Kyle Orton, also an oddball.
  15. This is why we need to get a QB. Pronto. Screw developing EJ, go get someone who can play now. Cassel is a start, keep trying....
  16. if you don't have a pass rush you better have aaron rodgers, well we don't have aaron rodgers.
  17. OH, I'm sure ole Seantrel knows what cyrus is up to. Competition. This all bodes well. Get your popcorn, the train is coming around the corner. Thank goodness Cyrus is getting his act together. all bodes well. need O line improvement. Looks like this guy is doing his part. so good to see
  18. +1. All day and all night.
  19. Depends on if they go after iupati. They can only give one of the two the big $$. If their smart , they get a $5m guard and sign Hughes. We shall see.
  20. This is the normal process. My sense is the Bills will have an opportunity to compete. This is his one shot at the $$$. This is how it works.
  21. that is the national perception. get used to it, even if the Bills become a winner again, the "reflected glory" affect will not happen when it comes to the area. that will be the media's fall back position, if the team is good, then the stories will focus on how sucky the area is. watch for it. it will happen, especially out of AFC East writers.
  22. fair deal. value for value
  23. not me. Rex and crew know how to play defense. not worried at all. and having no QB means they will build it up even more. reeeelaaaax.....
