  1. we'll see. time will tell.
  2. Correct. He can play. He tore it up against big time college competition and has 4 yrs behind a solid NFL QB. Sounds a lot like what some guy in GreenBay did. We shall see.
  3. if a team with QB problem doesn't give ESPN a QB to pump up for 6 months on their shows (remember all the hype around Manziel?) , then they pan you for not doing that. ESPN can't make any $$ on Ron Darby and an O Lineman, so they are punishing the team.. We'd be all set if we reached for a shiny new toy for them to play with. The Bills stuck to their board and are being pounded for it. Screw the media. Go bills.
  4. Yep. My guess is Gilmore walks after his rookie deal as they'll have so much tied up in Hughes, Dareus, Mario, etc. and hopefully in a QB. Can't pay 'em all.
  5. can you imagine them blowing #50 on Petty? I guess so since this draft doesn't matter much. the team they are going with is pretty much today's roster, so the draft is pretty much a ho hum as far as impacting this year. they are living and dying with today's roster.. by the time this years low round draftees are probably making an impact FA will probably have changed the core roster significantly.
  6. no one trading up to 50. has this ever happened more than once or twice in history?
  7. Yes it was. Generational talent who now only needs a QB to get him the d--- ball.
  8. yeah, maybe the opener this year. haven't done that in a while....
  9. yep. pretty much like the NBA. the coaches can only do so much. pretty much a players league now. you either have the talent or you do not. coaches just coordinate the talent. every team pretty much runs the same plays and plays similar defenses. very important to have team leaders in the locker room. not sure if we have one of those
  10. yep. drafting a QB at 50 is stupid. they won't do it. lets put that idea to bed.
  11. whoa guys, whoa... this 5-11 stuff has little to do with the football facts. the simple fact is until the media couldn't care less about this franchise or the area. they spend about 20 minutes mocking the bills w-l record and move on to "cooler" places and franchises.... gotta have very thick skin if a Bills fan. Respect will come very slowly if at all from this media world...will need to win win and win some more b4 any big media types start showing up///
  12. until they show it on the field, hard to argue. barely an 8-8 team last year. they don't play the season on paper. show me. they haven't for 15 years. every media guy who's gone out on a limb predicting a big season has been burned -- for 15 years. so what do you expect? without a solid QB, I could easily see another 7-9 year. we shall see. injuries always a wildcard as well...
  13. those kind of guys got you 15 years of pain. Give me true NFL talent. Screw the sentiments. This is big boy sports, not the local rugby team.
  14. such a homer. at least Joe B kept objective.
  15. Strong, affordable (you need 7 of them at least vs. 1 QB) OLineman are as difficult to find as QB these days. Teams ain't givin' em up. They've drafted heavy on OL and they are developing them. Should see a better O Line this year (barring injuries which blows everything up)
  16. Guys, this ain't the local rugby league or AAA baseball. This is big boy big money sports. If you want fair, go watch NY Penn league baseball in Delaware Park and forget the NFL. You get what your win loss record gets you. We have sucked forever, therefore no one wants to watch our team play, which means ad revenue falls, which means smaller TV deal, which means less $$ for everyone. The way it is. If you want fair, go watch something else. When the Bills were winning , like 100 years ago, they were all over MNF (home games), prime time Sunday , the works. Win and your in, Lose and you are out. The nature of the NFL. if you want fair, go watch the Bisons.
  17. He's made the transition to pro ball. Good. Now the big question is why is he doing this? Is his contract up this year? This is normally what happens, guy needs to have a great year to get a great contract from some team in the league. Its all about the business end. Is his contract up this year? "that's the type of player/person he is"? please.... It is a contract year. Plain and simple.
  18. overrated. gave up as much as he took away
  19. yep. chip thinks he is the star, like he was in college. if he continues to run a pro team like a college team, he will fail. but I love watching his offense, attacking, very entertaining.. so I hope they don't run him out of town too soon...
  20. hmmm.... Felton, McCoy, Clay, Harvin, Watkins Plus a marginal, run game QB and 5 O Linemen. Guess who the odd man out is. Only way Woods sees the field is if Felton or Harvin comes out. Not sure that's gonna happen much.
  21. they couldn't get the big $$ O lineman they wanted , so they went and got Top TEs and blocking FBs ... gotta like that. their personnel moves have been stellar for 12-18 mos now. get your popcorn.
  22. yes, i think this may be the closest thing to the first players team we've had since the SB teams.. lets see who steps up and invests himself as leader
