  1. another scott chandler.. which is fine. big slow, good blocker, catches everything that gets to him (not very much in most cases) . If those qualities are such impact qualities, why did we cut chandler and break the bank for clay?
  2. I won't be. Marrone is so far in the rear view mirror i'd need a telescope attachment to see him
  3. agree. bad QB class. pros completely unsure whether Mariota can even succeed at the NFL level for pete's sake. Also, Winston = EJ IMHO as well. Heck EJ had higher QB ratings his final year than Winston, who fell off as a Senior (which tells you something as well). Winston better mechanically, but will be unreliable on and off the field me thinks. We shall see.
  4. ha ha yes. the desire for reflected glory is strong with this group. all good. go bills. no. Fitz tore it up under Gailey with a bunch of high school WRs. But, yes he was a gunslinger and threw a bunch of picks as well. you need to go back and look at the highlights my friend... I enjoyed the Fitz and Gailey show...
  5. Why not? He's sat most of his career, he's learned what it takes, he "gets it" now, by his own admission. He played for idiot lame duck college clowns for two years and is now finally being coached by real NFL coaches . He played behind a real NFL QB last year for the first time. For crying out loud, his college numbers were right there with other multiple year sitters like Aaron Rodgers, who also had the benefit of time to "get it". Rodgers was no more a world beater in college than EJ. EJ's not being tossed to the wolves this time. I am one of those that says, assume he sat the bench the past two years learning, now lets see what he learned. Blank slate. I think he or maybe Taylor win the job. EJ is very smart, great attitude, great learner, just like Rodgers. Cool and calm, but has some fire too. We shall see. We know what Cassell can and can't do. Tuel will be cut. Hell, Andrew Luck hasn't won anything yet either. Screw the media. They just want to anoint someone to advertise their games for them. Everyone ReeeeLaaaax
  6. no one gets fired for lazy reporting about this franchise, b/c no one outside of WNY reads the story in the first place. just sayin'
  7. Mack is not from WNY. Glad he's on my team, and Mario is very strong player, but not top 100 in todays game where, regrettably, speed is more noticed/impactful than power. These ratings are pretty worthless in a team game. Eagles had, what, 9 Pro Bowl players, look where that got them.
  8. wow the offseason is slow.....
  9. they liked him here in DC. not sure why he was let go
  10. what's he going to say on the john murphy show.. that they will suck? geez the offseason is slow
  11. agreed. when you live in a glass house, it is best not to throw stones. lots of stone throwers on this board.
  12. biased homer, but that's ok. go bills. they need to show it on the field before anyone believes, including me. and that is totally dependent on the QB. reputation as a team goes a long way with all these preseason rankings, and we all know what the media thinks of this franchise
  13. too expensive for a 15 down per game guy. love 'im , but he's in no mans land right now....
  14. until committed long term ownership arrived, that was all they could get. now the wheels are back on the bus.
  15. The Bills provided Fred a career opportunity he never would have gotten anywhere else, and he delivered in so many ways for the franchise. A thing of beauty really. Lets just leave it at that and wish he and his family the best that life has to offer going forward.
  16. they could have played with nerf balls ; lets face it, the franchise was completely embarrassed in all but the Giants game, and I would argue the Giants totally exposed the Bills small-ball D with the smashmouth running game in that one as well. the Dallas games were just dreadful unwatchable with the giveaways, and the Skins just killed 'em. so if you think those teams make me proud to be a Bills fan, you're crazy. they branded the franchise as losers for 25 years. Let's just look forward shall we?
  17. He's sure a little on the bleeding edge of super competitive, but the guy wins. Can't argue with what that organization has accomplished over an extended period. NFL is blood sport and they play it that way at all levels.
  18. this is kind of the larger point, IMO. This franchise after 15 years of suck finally has 50+ guys who actually belong on an NFL opening day roster. this is very good news from a talent perspective -- we are now finally in the full time business of upgrading from NFL calibre players. awesome. let the gates swing. loyalty goes out the window, talent/performance is all that matters. finally. halleluhah. go bills.
  19. yep. Karlos can play ST. Fred is pretty much done and Bryce Brown is a ball security risk and no good on ST.. in a run first offense , guys like Brown who will now have the ball attacked when they carry it are a liability. We shall see. My guess is Fred maybe stays, Brown definitely goes. This could be the end for Fred. Not sure.
  20. sure. why not. maybe they go with another backup RB instead of another backup LB for special teams. plus Felton insurance; they are all in on the run game it seems. we shall see
  21. we shall see. go bills . take it to the field and win games . get your popcorn
  22. bc their not the Bills. when we win, we still won't be respected, but at least we'll win
  23. Yep. Gotta do it on the field. Everything looks good, but I'm like ESPN, until I see it on the field I won't believe. Games aren't played in the media, they are played on the field.
