  1. yep. pretty much as simple as that. ownership transition, coaching transition, scheme transition. pretty much what happens when you blow everything up after the team is sold... all of this was to be expected
  2. well... he'll start somewhere, he's a gamer and can play a little. he;s probably not getting you to the promised land, but in any event, good for him
  3. Yeah well we have Rex and his crazy complex defense and thats that; you have the guy who saved the franchise for you to complain to about that. give him a call.
  4. I don't think there is an athlete on earth worth $20m per year, but I guess that's beside the point.
  5. you don't draft for need with #1 pick. you draft best available. remember Darby. a great example of this. 100% of people said it was a mistake bc we didn't "need" cornerbacks. nearsighted and dumb they were proven to be . let Whaley do his f ing job. we buy tickets, Whaley runs the draft and is very good at it. without big time DBs you are dead in today's NFL. they are not the shiny objects fans want, but try to win 8+ games without them. you better have Aaron Rodgers , cause it aint' happening otherwise
  6. this . give me the 1.67 back. Hogan is good player, but not edelman/amendola/welker good. Brady would make me look good, so look for Hogan to become a "star" and the Bills getting blasted for "letting him get away". Clay will take all his catches this year anyway. I see Charles Clay becoming Antonio Gates this year. I really do. Roman has a hundred ways to throw to the TE and I think we will see them all this year.
  7. yep. need to draft 2 or 3 immediate players, get the ty powells of the world back and stay reasonably healthy to succeed this year. same as any other team. and hope the Williams' are nearly 100%. All that happens and I'm good. all the losses are depth players .. lots of cap was spent to bring in talent last year. the offense is still intact. that's what will determine their fate this year IMO. offense.
  8. this. pride of the philly po po those guys are. geez. just drop it. really bad behavior all around.
  9. Classic broken Bills fan post. Go find another team to think on. geez. Stay reasonably healthy and this is a playoff team. (TT stays healthy and they were a playoff team last year, for crying out loud). Key point: Whaley and the scouting staff have proven themselves in the draft and will do it again this year (hope they trade down for another 2 an 3, that would be awesome) by drafting 2 to 3 starters for 2017. D will be smarter, quicker and more unpredictable with the return of the Williams and the "addition by subtraction" with baby Mario. The Offense can't help but be better as they ran about 10 pages of the playbook last year.... should absolutely break out. Get yer popcorn. The post-Ralph (RIP, thanks for saving the franchise) era accelerates this year. Don't go to the playoffs until you can make a run. Hope that is this year, but I can wait.
  10. Corner. No doubt. Because unless TT stinks it up, they will have to pay him. and if they pay him, they cannot afford Gilmore. pretty simple.
  11. that's why they need to trade down this year for more 2 and 3 round picks...
  12. they should trade back for more picks in the 2nd and 3rd. this cap situation will only be tighter next year and we will need more talent to fill in for guys who are released next offseason.. no trading up for shiny toys this year IMO
  13. moreover, they are utterly killing their cap situation with the Suh, Tannehill , Mario, et al deals ... they are all cash and quit types. I see a dark future there... Say what you want about Rex, but he attracts coaching and player talent and keeps it. Levy was the last to do that , and that was a very long time ago
  14. yep. this is the new Bills. in the past, guys would have walked. go bills.
  15. wow. we did well with Clay.
  16. yes he was . they liked him a lot.. not sure what the deal is...
  17. not sure that's happening .... unless the only way to sign Incognito is to release Kyle... then it might, just might happen.. OLine is way more important than D Line in today's NFL. their both old, so .... tough call.. Rex's defense is based on scheme execution , not individual talent (other than cornerbacks, who need to be all world).. so , pretty sure Kyle doesn't get past this year optimistically.. and having a $4m cap hit to get that ST fumble or two or three. let him mess up someone's else's primetime game... he's done enough damage here
  18. Mario was a huge $$ reach during the dying Ralph (RIP) era when no one would come to the lame duck franchise. It's ok, we don't need to overspend for FAs anymore. This is a quality attractive franchise now. Good riddance Mario. Enjoy your millions (although he seems like such a head case, that won't so much happen)... give to charity, help other people with all that cash. thanks for the memories (?) ... stay in the the conference tho, so your new overpaid contract can mess with some rivals cap number
  19. yep. I hope we trade down from 19 and have two 2nd and two 3rd round picks. Its all about the draft. now we need 3 or 4 guys from the draft who can contribute next year. We have the coaches and the front office, a pile of talent and an owner willing to put up cash now to restructure contracts (Clay, others) to allow us to keep our key guys (Gilmore, etc.). We'll be fine. Frankly , we could put the roster we have out there right now and win 10 IMO. McFumble needed to be cut if we were 40m under the cap. Mario turned out to be a bum so losing him we lose nothing. This front office is finally a good one. go bills.
  20. Mc Fumble out . hallelujah. about time. that guy cost us some big games on some big stages. 4m cap savings? wow, I would have cut him a month ago
  21. to make it that much sweeter... last year was extended preseason.... learning curve, baby the players just have to do what they are f ing told.. buy in. Ed Reed will take care of that on the back end. Can't wait for the first Ed Reed chew out of a d-back (or anyone) who screws up the execution of Rex defense. can't wait..
  22. they were replaced by those who are rational
