  1. see ya next spring reggie. too bad, great draft pick by Whaley and Rex would have used him well. now, no Shaq, no Reggie, no listenbee they go 8-8 coaches get blamed and both get fired. Polian was right, injuries directly affect whether coaches stay or not even though coaches have nothing to do with injuries. lets just eliminate camp for the top 40 guys, just have mini camps and tryout camp. the guys are all in shape anyway all camp does is wreck the regular season. this is getting old ..
  2. me too. looks like i'll be recording the games again this year and doing something else on Sunday outdoors. watch the replay if they win. delete if they lose. can't take it anymore after all these years. glad i have the NFL Ticket for free this year.
  3. Rex can at least start looking at the keys to that truck... RR out, Shaq out, there will be others. the draft is looking like a washout for this year. A few more injuries and 8-8 is looking better and better. And Rexy will be blamed, as all coaches are. and then....
  4. When you live in a glass house, don't throw stones
  5. team is in a tough spot.... lets see how they come out... I like it as a middle ground bridge type deal the team can live with ... lets face it, they have no one else to play the position, the league is very short on QB quality, forget about starters ( the Jets are starting freakin fitz for pete's sake) , they know they cannot walk from TT until at LEAST 2018, so might as well lock him up for 2 years (3 if you consider the tag in 2018). The cost is you have to pay starter $ starting now. even if the team sucks , TT will still be the starter next year and prob the year after that.. who else you gonna get?? another re tread and hope you get TT2 for cheap for a couple more years? crappy way to run a railroad Seems reasonable ( by NFL skyrocket salary standards) to me. They had him cheap last year and he worked out. This is just a tough call. The good news is it could be worse and EJ could be the only guy they have and they would have to pay HIM, as he is at the back end of his contract as well. What a mess THAT would be. Big time shortage of NFL starting QB talent out there. If you are any good, you get paid, bc the alternative is usually even worse.
  6. with sentiments like this, don't complain about 8-8 and no playoffs. with all due respect, we need nfl calibre players, not feel good stories about good guys who get a break with a team with crappy LBs .. on the flip side, with Rex's crazy deception, scheme defense, if you are smart, learn the system fast and do what you are told when you are told, anyone can hide their faults as they are just cogs in a wheel
  7. yep they were good alright. beat everybody, week in and week out
  8. yep. 4 and done. nice player though.;... great 7th round draft pick. guy had a good NFL career , made a ton of dough. all good.
  9. too bad he was hurt last year.... never really got to see the real guy. we'll see it this year tho :I
  10. finally. plus we are pretty good this year. no "who's the QB" or "EJ sucks" discussions. pretty solid or better at every key position. everyone signed we needed to get signed (Glenn, Cogs, etc). everyone in camp, no holdouts, no drama, just football. they "get" the systems now after a year. not sure I remember a year when all this fell into place when camp started.... no missing pieces go bills. they should be good.
  11. she's probably the brains behind the operation
  12. i certainly hope not. can't imagine starting this new coach new scheme lose all the time until they learn it crap all over again...
  13. could very well be. who knows. I'd wait and break the bank if he plays well. an extra 3mil it costs to verify he is the real deal. I'd wait. Hell, Seattle waited with Wilson and they knew he was great
  14. time for camp to start... get all these crazies into training camps pronto b4 someone gets hurt.....
  15. yeah this is pretty standard stuff... its how Gruden and all kinds of coaches got their start.. bottom of the barrel.. boy, really need camp to start don't we... wow, the stuff being discussed.. glad the offseason is over..
  16. Agreed. Posters on this board seem to think changing coaches every 2 or 3 years is something other than a absolute guarantee of ongoing failure. Since there isn't any practice time anymore (thanks CBA) teams with new coaching staffs need to invest at least 2-3 years in a new staff to see if the players can win with them. Is what it is. Schemes are complex, especially the exotic stuff Roman and Rex run. Lets put it this way, if Pegs dumps Rex after this year, he better get some plain vanilla scheme guys ; i can't take the 3 year learning curves for new coaching schemes with rotating set of players...players have the power of guaranteed contracts- they can just not buy in initially (see; Mario W.) long term stability in the coaching staff means a lot in today's NFL.
  17. successful haggle this year. very successful. go bills .
  18. combination of the best of Vick and Wilson, I'm telling you.... go bills
  19. this is all great and thanks, but the real analysis we need is how much cap space will the Bills realistically have next year,, that is the real question .. who gets cut or not is the usual TBD fodder; does anyone actually have the Bills committed cap number as of now and what the cap will be?
  20. not sure on this one... my sense is to wait... hell, Russell Wilson was a proven commodity and Seattle waited ... the $$ will be the $$ whether they sign him now or a year from now... might as well wait until a year from now when they can assess the impact on the rest of the roster... I don't believe they have the cap space for both he and Gilmore
