  1. yep, probably win the AZ game, then go .500 the rest of the way, end up 7-9. yawn. Rex keeps job. Everyone pissed. Rinse. Repeat. I really thought they had something this year. fooled me again.
  2. but the guy with no experience is a Rex guy. that tells you everything you need to know... Rex is locking himself in for the season with the Roman firing. Now there is no one to replace him in-season. Smart by Rex. He's a salesman, if nothing else, to get Whaley and Pegs to go along with this.
  3. Well it's hard to imagine it, but it looks like we're heading down the path to "starting all over again". again.
  4. pretty much
  5. Yes they are the source of the problem. But hey they saved the franchise, so they can do whatever they want not true, Marrone just wanted a contract extension to ensure that he was Peg's guy for a few years. Pegs refused, tipping Marrone off that Pegs was geting his own guy. Marrone properly pulled the ripcord on his golden parachute he (very wisely) put in his contract with the soon-to-be-replaced Ralph W. (RIP). Marrone was the smartest guy in all of this, followed by Rex who charmed his way into a $20+M contract, followed by Whaley, who somehow got to stay when the coaching staff left, followed by Pegs, who pretty much pooped the bed on his first coaching hire.
  6. they have enough talent, but a half their top 12 players/prospects are out the bright side is it looks like we are getting a chance to learn that Washington and Kujo can both play gee i feel so much better...
  7. Probably right. The rules and the league are geared for QBs and the passing game. We haven't had either since Drew Bledsoe for crying out loud. Talented team, no doubt and when the injured and rule breakers get back they will compete, but .....
  8. Yep. Kujo has looked the part replacing Glenn. Glenn may the guy going to RT, which was the idea a couple years ago. May happen this season, since we are in "preseason" " training camp for 2017" mode already...
  9. hmm... doesn't look good ... again. no glenn, no Dareus, no 2015 Karlos; watkins, clay both on one leg... looks like the injury thing plus TT is only just good but not great; Plus ravens, jets good to great on D.. not sure this talent will go 5-11, but it looks like 0-4 to start, then 7-5 finish; a competitive 7-9 is about what we will get if they get all our talent back for weeks 5-17. NFL guys don't mail it in anymore bc they have contracts to protect and need to get good performance on film, but wow, they started out with key guys injured or in rehab or suspended. don't have Big Ben to bail out the team . looks like 0-4 to start. AZ game upcoming? wow.
  10. they do seem to find a way, don't they?
  11. They do seem to find a way most weeks don't they..... I for one will be glad when Kevon Seymour is in and Robey hyphen f ing whatever is sent packing...
  12. 100%. He's calling the plays, TT is just executing them. Boy this team just finds a way doesn't it??
  13. anyone have any luck turning down the TV and listening to WGR radio call? Is the tape delay (number of seconds) the same for TV and radio?
  14. wow. about 15 people will be watching this game outside of fans of the two teams....
  15. Oh for the love of god, stop with this. If anyone, Pegs ruined it my by forcing Marrone and Schwartz out. He and Whaley KNEW (or they should have known) that Rex is not a scheme flexible coach, loves his system and would be installing this very complex and wildly different defense here, and it would take time to make that radical a change, BUT THEY WENT WITH REX ANYWAY. Lay your complaints squarely at the doorstep of the guy who saved the franchise my friend. Its way to easy to lay blame at the coaches doorstep. Rex is doing it his way (I'm sure Pegs/Whaley were told that) and got a multiyear guaranteed contract to make sure he either gets to do it his way or gets paid if he gets fired, which he won't. All credit to Rex for getting the deal Marrone wanted. Jury's still out on whether Pegs made a good hire or not. We shall see. That's why they play the games on the field. Get your popcorn and medical marijuana out. You'll probably need both for a few weeks....
  16. they have a freakin good team this year, all coached up now after 15 months of Rex/Roman ball schemes, and ready to go.
  17. Probably right. Pegs and Whaley should have thought of this before they hired Rex. This is all pretty much on the owner, not on Rex. The whole football world knew how Rex coached, what his scheme was and who he was as a person long, long , long before Pegs/Whaley hired him. This is on the owner making a bad hire. Rex is just doing what he said he would do and how he's coached all along. Sorry , but this one's on the owner. He could have easily extended Marrone, Schwartz at lower cost but he chose not to and Marrone correctly bailed out on what was going to be a losing situation (for Marrone). So yeah, just like with the Sabres, the owner learns the hard way and we pay the price should they stink it up this year on defense. On the flip side, Rex's defense, if the communication on field is solid and quick, covers up lack of talent or suspensions/injuries. ] We shall see.
  18. the time it takes to get to the ballpark. #probowler
