  1. yeah, sure. if they come out 3-5 this board will want to burn it down and start all over again
  2. nobody good will want this job... bc you just get fired in 2 years as the roster won't be good enough in time to save you. fans are too bitter and burned out
  3. he was UFA last year. he would have walked. would have had to franchise him for THIS year at 20+mil. simply to "see how well he played". not a good option. Whaley did a great deal for the franchise, "trying him out" this year at 9mil and retaining the option to cut him clean after this year. Now they can either cut him or renegotiate last years deal. My guess is TT's best best is to take Whaley's renegotiated (lower priced) deal. Whaley did a great great deal favorable to the team and should be commended for getting TT to agree to it. Downside is TT turns down a lower deal and they cut him, leaving us w/o a QB.... However, they have until March to cut him, allowing time to sign someone else .. then cut him. I am still amazed Whaley got it done last year. One of the best contracts I've ever seen given the circumstances.
  4. yep. if they win out, can't really fire him IMO. to me this is as much on the players as the direction.. too easy to just toss the coaches... TV $$ runs this league.. not to worry about bitter fans... box office $$ not that important, and fans are showing up whether Rex stays or not
  5. he'll go to L.A. if anywhere.. wants warm weather. bills don't have that.
  6. all rookies go through that. he'll be a beast next year, so will Ragland. With any luck, Rex goes, Lynn stays and we get a more conventional 4-3 defense. Draft one of the great safeties coming out. Do not blow it up. We shall see.
  7. Seems everyone wants to change things. Then I would say blow it all up from the top down and start over. That would make for a more interesting off season I guess. But that tanks the next few years.
  8. Yep. The stakes are clear. Win or go home. Might not matter anyway, but I like the 1pm game and they don't really know. We'll see if this team has any stones left. Should be interesting.
  9. Yep. Been thinking this all season. Just do it Bills. CG has his LT $$. Now lets get the best O Line on the field we can.
  10. not dead yet... go beat freakin Matt Moore please.
  11. All the teams Bills are chasing have tough games next week. Just sayin...
  12. that is a extremely short list
  13. He has 25 million reasons to not really care a whole lot about what some local beat guy says
  14. Best result is probably Rex and TT gone. Lynn as HC and a normal DC who plays modern 4-3 as we have the personnel to play it well. My guess is that will happen unless they win out. If the win out, maybe only TT goes. The stand up defense won't work well... teams just run straight at it
  15. yes. if they want some quality guys to pick from, maybe cannot wait until January to exit Rexy poo
  16. none of this much matters any more..... just play out the season and get on with whatever is going to happen. He wasn't in the plans for next year anyway..just a guy who knew the system and was decent and available.... so, whatever. All I want to know now is whether TT and his limitations and/or Rex's D and its limitations will be here next year.. the only two things that matter
  17. yep that is realistic, but they would need to fire Rex quickly and get to Smith before anyone else did
  18. so it would seem. looks like we are moving on from TT as well. Good job on the contract Whaley to give the organization flexibility with TT. That should about do it. The Ryans, Thurman, and TT look to be the losers in this. A Lynn goes and gets a straight up 4-3 playing DC . I get it. Took 13 games, but I get it. Do it. Do it now.
  19. yeah, looks like that game pretty much seals the deal. Lets go with EJ/CJ and A Lynn and get this thing over with. So much for the Rex experiment. Wow, how did we get to this place?
  20. Well so much for that idea... after today looks like we may be onto next coach, QB or both.. well here we go again... round and round we go
  21. well,... yep
  22. Exactly. But no one wants to hear it. We have a full roster (sort of) for the first time since week 2 and 4 winnable games. But people still wallowing in NorCal mud. When Promo leaves the building then I know all is lost....
  23. All is well then? What if they win convincingly? All is well then? What will it take to get people back on the 2016 bus?
  24. "We need a professional franchise Head Coach not some pretender showman". Well, that there is the problem. Rex is the closest thing the Bills have had. No other accomplished guy has wanted the d-mn job. For all his warts, Rex is the first name brand HC this franchise has EVER attracted, good or bad. When you demand that Rex be fired, be careful about what you're asking for. Let's see what team shows up on Sunday and go from there.
