it was a brilliant deal, gave them a year to assess TT. Now they have an opportunity to vote up or down. The only thing bad about it is they don't have a plan for if TT is cut, but everyone knew that last year ... it was, TT or nothing, but if TT's performance is just so-so, then they wouldn't be stuck with him ... it's all worked out according to plan.. the problem is he neither was great or sucked, so they don't have a clean decision criteria, plus they have a new staff. They will probably release him and be done with it. Restart with new coach, draft a QB, endure three years of suck, the usual rebuild model. ho hum, and back around the wheel we go. Have fun with that. I'll be on the golf course.

yeah, this move would fit the "next three years of suck" model. sure, go get a first time, introvert head coach, a failed retread QB to start ...cut Shady to save a few bucks bc he "doesn't fit the new OCs one cut" system after setting rushing records with ALynn.... yep, all the makings of suck are coming into view...

i think this season is unique in that there is no hope at all now... last year it was TT the undisputed starter, Shaq coming in, Cogs and Glenn signed... full roster, etc etc. second year in the schemes, etc etc.. it all looked really optimistic... now there is absolutely none of that.. all looks dark; complete restart, roster purge coming... someone tell me why long time Bills fans shouldn't just pack it up for a few years?

Yes indeed, its 2013 all over again, no QB, new low-end HC and staff. Time to reach for 2rd round grade Watson at 10 and screw up the QB position for 3 more years. Should have moved the franchise to Toronto. Would have made them that much easier to forget.

what a joke. all of this costs them "2 games"? If your strategy is followed, they will struggle to get to 4 wins. They blew it up, remember? probably let him go, they are in expansion team rebuild mode, so blowing 25mil is unnecessary.. just move on. Rex era is over, this is a restart. Go get a prototypical 6'5" white guy QB and try that route... and spin the wheel one more time... as long as you have two guaranteed division/conference losses before the season even starts, they aint' goin' anywhere anytime soon

all of 'em. total restart, so no one position is any more important than any other. forget QB, just draft one #1 and start the 3 yr suck timer.

The whole thing is going to be messy, so what's the problem with doing a Goff on the kid. If TT is cut, this is a full-on expansion team type restart rebuild, so all bets are off.

strongly recommend Bills fans find something else to do for about 2 years... blowup = rebuild = suck

they are waiting for him to recover and pass physical before cutting him... give it another few weeks.... its all about the $$ 3 more years of suck

any sane person would put their job security ahead of the team. heck, all the players and coaches do it already and have for years. this ain't high school football, sport. win one for the gipper went out of style a long time ago. this here be a business 100%

nah they'll do it the way its always done, blow it all up, start over with completely new defense and offense and suck for three years while the "roster is fit to the scheme" or " players get enough reps". blah blah, it, plus the GOAT and the Pats all adds up to three more years of no playoffs and all around suck. and the wheel goes round

i knew there was a reason I left 35 years ago. thanks for reminding me. Other than June thru September, when the weather is spectacular, WNY weather absolutely sucks by any reasonable standard.
