  1. bingo. Bills are where careers go to die, or in the case of Boldin, to be finally buried. Which is why he would not even answer the phone. Next.
  2. ancient history, people. my kids were in preschool when the Bills were last relevant
  3. yeah this year will be bad. less talent, new schemes to learn , rookie HC, new staff. growing pains, bad times ahead. this franchise, along with the hockey franchise, is just caught in the coach/scheme/roster "revolving door" to consistent mediocrity. but, hey, the teams are still in town, right? yeah thought so...
  4. coulda shoulda wouda this franchise is not very good...
  5. Good point and they made it being 0-2 vs. Pats. So I guess either I am being too strong on this, or we have both the Pats AND the Dolphins blocking the Bills' path. Bills with a talent drain from last year plus a likely stronger Fins vs last year's team actually makes the prospects even worse. Thank you for reminding me that we are probably starting the season 0-4 in both the division and conference, making it doubly hopeless.
  6. hey, here's an idea: let's Not talk about Chad 'cancer' Kelly. How about that?
  7. when you start the season a guaranteed 0-2 in both the division and the conference, with no shot at the division title, yeah, you have no chance... as long as the GOATs are in NE, that's about all she wrote....
  8. and he blew a groin mid season to boot
  9. the media spend about 10 seconds analyzing the Bills. no one cares about the Bills. they look at the roster and go , yeah, whatever, a receiver will do ... next..
  10. everyone still looking for the savior.... laughable. no Andrew Lucks in this draft. move on. TT is it for now...
  11. ....and Holmes Brown and Butler all are 50/50 shots at getting cut in camp. None of those 3 pickups are getting you to the promised land, they are as much training camp targets as roster spots at this point ..... Flash/Woods 2.0. yawn.
  12. If Seymour builds on 2016 and turns out to be a player, the Gilmore move looks really good. Deep draft for DBs as well. This isn't their worst move.
  13. Andre Holmes? Boy he'll bring the season ticket holders back.
  14. Its a QB league. Get one and you have a chance. Don't get one and you might fall into it once in a while but that's about it.
  15. yep, must be mid to late March.... dreamland cometh again...
  16. not encouraging when a guy is denying he signed... I can hear his voice on the phone to his agent: " you signed me f ing WHERE?!%$!"
  17. 7. but they'll be competitive in all but 2 or 3. put up the good fight. blah blah and the wheel keeps turning. I would prefer to be wrong, but I have always believed this franchise is structurally incapable of making progress beyond that, as the critical mass of playing/coaching talent will always be beyond reach. who the heck whats to be with the Bills with other quality options available. honestly. Lions, Bills, Browns ,etc perpetually condemned to the outhouse
  18. but they don't win... they lost to absolutely everyone last year... swept in division, only beat the bottom of the crappy NFC West and AFC North. Team cannot possibly be better this year, talent or otherwise. With the GOATs at the top of the division and getting stronger day by day this offseason, we're 0-2 in the division/conference right now. I don't see any room for optimism. Bills letting some quality players walk away. Looks like a full rebuild after this season as it will in all likelihood suck with a brutal schedule, rookie HC, total scheme turnover and probably less talent. Rookie HC will get a pass, and the wheel will keep on turning having said all this logical stuff, Watch 'em go 11-5 with no injuries, lets hope so, but its nothing but hope, no facts to back it up. Hogan and Gilmore high five'n each other right about now... big smiles on their faces . talk about goin from the outhouse to the penthouse
  19. they'll put good competitive second tier players or rookies in those holes and compete well. probably go 6-10 as they put in all new schemes and change out the roster to "fit the new schemes", discover a few rookies who can play, then lose Sammy and a few other top vets who actually want to win before they die to FA , and rinse and repeat. coaching staff prob canned mid 2019 and the coaching cycle starts all over again. this is the Bills and WNY. top talent demonstrably does not want to come there or stay there if they have choices. Kelly and Shady went bs when they found out they had to go there. Everyone from Winfield to Peters to Gilmore got out as soon as they could, pushed by their agents. Washed up (etc Mario W. or anyone Rex brought in ) or just starting out players (high draft choices) and entry level coaches go there bc they have no better options or no choice . No offense intended, hell I grew up there and in that stadium, but the Bills are Kevin Costner's Durham Bulls from the movie "Bull Durham" in a New York Yankees league. Square peg trying to fit a round hole. Doubt it will ever fit. this cycle has repeated itself since I was a kid. the SB years were the outlier, a one and done. Enjoy the tailgates, that's the point anyway, right?
  20. I don't think so. Gloom and doom is perfectly warranted. An absolute NFL dynasty sits atop the division, meaning you simply cannot make the playoffs by winning the division plus you start the season 0-2 in the division and the conference, meaning you must sweep the rest of the division and go at least 10-4 against the remainder of the schedule to even get into a WC tie breaker scenario, which you will most likely lose because of your division and conference records being poisoned by playing the dynasty in your division twice every year. Plus you have had complete turnover in coaches and schemes, meaning complete restart of the learning process with a pile of largely high school graduates. Oh and did i mention lack of confidence in the QB plus complete turnover of the WR/DB positions in a pass first league? No, I'd say gloom and doom is in order.
  21. they don't have the cap space to go big at WR. need to pay Sammy after this year I believe ; wait... he will probably leave if he has any brains... so , ok, you're right, they will spend more in FA on WR , knowing that Sammy is probably gone in 2018. Got it. 3 more years of suck. take it to the bank.
