  1. agreed. all depends on what the other teams offer. If he's in a bad competitive position, Bills get him cheap and all is good. Hope that is the result. Team needs a break at some point on the personnel side this year. Been a disaster so far on the FA front this year.
  2. the challenge will be when one of the other teams goes long term deal with 20 or 30 guaranteed, and in a pass first league, that is likely to happen. That's when the rubber meets the road, assuming nothing is physically or mentally wrong with Maclin. Bills probably fold at that point and throw to Clay, Shady (Dennison offense throws a lot more to the backs) Sammy and use the rookies/FA to rebuild the WR group. All part of the latest rebuilding process. Perfectly understandable. This is at least a 3 year restart process, including finding a QB. Will take time. They have some weapons this year and will use what they have. Busting the bank for Maclin would be a real guts call as he will be expensive and, hey, they ain't goin' anywhere this year anyway. Another 7-9 campaign as they revamp the schemes and roster to fit. All good.
  3. sure. why not. still start the year 0-2 in the division/conference, but, whatever, they will compete, win 7 or 8 games and go from there...
  4. Gronk is spectacular. Good for the league. The H word needs to be put away
  5. why would they cut him? what is wrong with him? all seems fishy to me. $$ ?
  6. yep. Competitive roster. won't change much from here on out. time to keep em healthy, Coach em up and get em out there.
  7. yes. Dennison's offense is more like today's NFL offenses. No more ground and pound. Ball in the air a fair bit more. Should be exciting. Not sure our O Line is mobile enough for it or if the guys can practice it enough to get it down pat by September, but we will see. Go Bills.
  8. +1. Have to doubt this happening, as teams need only wait until FA if Sammy has just an OK season, as Bills will not franchise him in that scenario. If Sammy has a great season, trade is still possible as Bills will want a #1 now or then. Helluva risk to trade for him now sight unseen.
  9. well, this is what happens when regime change happens. players from the old regime are largely expendable, especially when they are marginal above the neck... Some team will turn him into a star. whatever. new times, new coaches, new schemes, out with the old and in with the new....
  10. i always wonder how EJ would have done had he not gone out with the knee injury in that Browns game... he was going along pretty well until that moment.... guess we'll never know...
  11. wouldn't want to go thru what Dareus has gone through. all the death in his close family at such an early age..... we forget these are young 20 something kids
  12. If their relatively healthy, another 7-9 is likely. Schedule is loaded with top teams. TT would need to become a complete passer for more than that to happen.
  13. yikes. relax dude. Vince Lombardi would have trouble with the GOATs in N.E. Bills will compete and win a bunch of games this year.
  14. +1. Pegs is learning on the job, but he is learning...
  15. this is the NFL. you move on me thinks. chalk it up to bad psych screening. great from the neck down, no good from the neck up.
  16. Pretty much same approach. Be a fan. follow team. hope for best.
  17. League is geared to reward a great QB. So basically you need to have one of those. Even the Andy Dalton types aren't getting it done....so hopefully either TT turns out to be Russell Wilson and the problem goes away, or they lose a bunch this year without looking too terrible and draft a guy next year.... really a weird spot right now. no one wants it to get to 18 , but it kind of has to in order to get a QB in the draft... weird..
  18. gonna be a weird season with supposedly 3 or 4 franchise type college QBs coming out next year. you want to win, but you really should lose, yikes who knows... just drink a lot of beer and ....
  19. Don't think he fits in a 4-3 very well as he may not be much of an edge rusher and he is not big enough to run stuff. Very concerned he is one of the odd men out with the defensive scheme change to a 4-3. Very concerned about where he fits. He's a 3-4 down lineman. Don't need those guys anymore. He may be a less talented, smaller version of Mario Williams. That would be bad. We shall see.
  20. Correct. They made the right move. Hope he turns it around . He's a great talent on paper. He'll attract extra coverage since no #2 has emerged, so that could be a problem..
