  1. yep. too good to get better, too bad to achieve anything. these are the bills, lions, bengals, etc. parity.
  2. can you imagine being a sports beat reporter in Blo/Roch? you have the Bills and the Sabres and distant minor league everything else.... they can be fully expected to be pretty much suicidal manic depressants by this point. Reporters covering the least achieving franchises in their respective leagues for a decade + . give em a break ... these teams need to give them something truly positive to lean on after 10-15 of non stop sucking. It will come. Winning cures everything. These two franchises just need to do that and all will be well.
  3. he's a heck of a talent, I just want to see what a 16 game Sammy season looks like with a QB that can get him the ball. that would be fun to see. get your popcorn, hopefully
  4. yeah what if 'ole "petterman" is a star ... LOL
  5. He's pretty much done I would believe. but beggars can't be choosers at this point I guess. T.O. 2.0
  6. We'll see, but my biggest fear is they go 8-8 and completely whiff on what certainly looks to be the best "franchise QB"-potential QB draft class in many many years. That would be tragic and leaves them stuck in no-wheres-ville. They are just talented enough to complete hard, go 8-8 and thereby accomplish nothing on the field or in the draft room, then watch Sammy, et al leave in FA. We shall see. The next 12 months are not setting up very well right now. How can you "tank the season, but with Honor"?
  7. yeee ep. that about sums it up. Sammy will be doing the same dance 12 months from now.
  8. yeah, he's pretty much a zone corner; you don't pay that kind of $$ for a zone corner... but I guess the Pats do. maybe they plan on playing more man this year... who knows
  9. yes he is. Hogan , Gilly and Gilmore got called up to the big leagues from the farm team AND got paid. doesnt get much better than that. winning cures everything.... go win some games, have a star QB and you'll get the TV coverage, well, not really because the franchise isn't really marketable... well.... at least start winning games and making the playoffs, that's a start.
  10. keep the Ralph. area can't afford any more... poor city, poor county. let it go. Buff ain't Vegas. ain't L.A. ain't Cleveland, for crying out loud. the Ralph is fine. keep upgrading it as MGK says...
  11. yeah, and when the team starts winning again (?) that marketing value will actually be positive rather than negative... go bills
  12. Bills surprise and win 10 games. TT goes 3500/30/10. So many negative projections means the opposite will happen.
  13. TT = 3500 yds+ , 25+ TDs, < 10 INTs. That is success for me. Means he is a top 10 QB and we can ride him for 5 years.
  14. yep, NBA rosters are smaller, so each player gets more individually. pretty simple concept guys. NBA has done a good job of building interest in the league and therefore revenue over the past 20 years. a superstar in NBA or MLB will naturally make huge comp. relative to NFL. NBA revs are less than NFL, but the rosters and organization sizes are a quarter or less of that of an NFL roster.
  15. yep its about time for that call.... I usually add something at a discount (some odd channel that I want) and get ST for free. maybe I'll go full nuc this year and see if they'll give it to me. usually works
  16. I'm in as well, coming up from D.C. when and where?
  17. they're not good enough to go to the playoffs, but tanking is not acceptable either. so , yes, they have to do the best they can as a group, which means, in the absence of a top10 QB, on paper seems to point at mediocrity. just the way it is . the Bills need to draft extremely well to be successful. lets hope they find 3-4 starters out of this class and they can trade up far enough to get a QB starter next year. Its at least an approach. This thing probably isn't turning around anytime soon with the GOATs in Foxboro. starting the season 0-2 in both the division and the conference never bodes well for playoffs. seems like that scenario will play out yet again this year.
  18. TT's a good player, an above average QB. The issue is, can he be a guy who can win you 10+ games. We shall see. He seems like Fitz to me. Competes hard, good for the program, but just deficient enough to lose you a few games you really need to get to the playoffs.
  19. Glory Days. He should treasure them. Like in the Springsteen song. Vince Young is the epitome of that.... I wish him luck. Texans will take care of him.
  20. its pretty much a rebuild restart. so it is what it is. go bills. will be a couple years before the thing makes sense.
  21. Shady will catch 50+balls this year in Dennison's offense. I don't think they are solving the WR roster area this year- they simply will be short on NFL experience there. probably next year and probably in the draft. part of the rebuild process. the draft is the key for this franchise.
  22. Maclin's new wife is from the Baltimore area. That probably had more to do with it than anyone thinks. The $$ was probably there from both teams, then it comes down to personal variables.
  23. I assume Maclin got a fairly big deal. Unfortunately you have to go with the restart mentality where you build with the draft and selected FAs for a couple years while you install new schemes, etc. You'll see a lot of Shady this year in the passing game. A lot. Dennison will have his work cut out getting the ball around to Clay, Shady, Sammy and whoever the heck else shows up with WR on their jersey.
  24. Well, he wants the playoffs, Ravens will give him a good shot at that. Bills are restarting to a large degree, so.... Winning cures everything. As soon as the Bills start doing that reliably, the FAs will come. Not so much until then.
