  1. unless TT becomes Russell Wilson in the process, 7-9 simply guarantees the same record next year. gee great.
  2. Ragland speaks like a 6th grader, but hey he's only one guy
  3. the $$$ and commercialization of it is progressively turning me off... 3+ hours to watch 22 minutes of action is just over the top. the ads are driving me crazy. rigging it so QB play now determines everything/ the only way to have a winning record sucks; the bottom guy on the team makes $1000 per minute whether on the field or not... its become the NBA or MLB. the players don't identify with team, only with their contract... with all the media emphasis on contracts and $$ and free agency, they seem like military mercenaries paid bought and sold to make war on a distant battlefield and then go home to their mansions on the hill in some faraway place... no community to it at all... wow, not sure how that all came out... yikes
  4. yep. tank with honor. that would be the best result. sorry to say it, but its true. this team needs to reload in next years draft and will need all its picks if at all possible. going 6-10 and having to blow next years 1st, both this years 1st's to move up (that may not be enough --- 6-10 is pretty bad situation) is not where you want to be. people need to consult the draft position value chart to see how expensive it is even to go from 6th to 1st in the draft.. it is steep
  5. They're pretty much set for the tank now, unless they stay incredibly healthy, Zay Jones and TreD are rookies of the year and Shady has his career year (which could both happen, especially the last one). no need to gut the roster any more. these guys play for contracts, not for teams anymore, so even at 2-14 they'll play for the tape. they'll keep this roster together and wrap it around Darnold or Allen next year.
  6. I'll guess NP gets out there this season mid-tank. TT will either not be all that productive or he'll get burned up/hurt running for his life with 8 in the box and no one to throw to. Either way, I don't see him making it through the season as the starter. We seem basically to have two career backup QBs, but one is actually paid like a backup. the salary cap Decision is pretty simple, just as Sammy's was. So NP needs game reps so he can start next year while Darnold or Allen get ready to take over 2018 mid season (or so). My guess is the McBeane's have this as a contingency plan should the season tank early (odds are it will)... they are smart to stick with TT to start the season gotta think long term; Brady ain't playin' til he's 45, he'll get laid out pretty soon as teams know that laying him out is the way to beat the Pats, plus he looks more immobile than ever. the power structure of the AFC East will be changing as long as the Bills don't screw up and go 6-10 or 7-9 this year. gosh I hope they don't screw this up.... a small market team unpopular with top FAs can only build through the draft. then again, maybe they go out and tear it up and win the AFC East ! who knows? go bills
  7. yes this is good for Zay, he will be on the field all season getting reps during the tank
  8. He'll have so many touches in this no-weapon offense, he won't make it past mid season from an injury perspective. I can see both he and TT being hurt and out by midseason. they are the only high talent, healthy experienced weapons left. It will be Kay Stephenson and Mini Max Anderson out there by the bye week......
  9. he looked pretty much done to me anyway; never understood why he signed with a no-QB, rebuilding team in the first place. the trades/tank prospects scared him off. I don't blame him, really. just wait until the guys with big contracts start quitting on the effort about mid season this year; watch how many guys go on tropical vacations during the bye week. gonna have to hold your nose this year. it will get bad I fear
  10. indeed. i wanna see it but i just don't see how this O is going to score enough. but we will see. Dennison is pretty good. he will earn his dough this year
  11. okie dokie............. if I'm a DC, I am putting 8 in the box and seein' if ole happy feet can beat me with too young Jones, too old Boldin and too broken Clay. McD and Dennison will need to coach their freakin arses off to make this work.... go bills
  12. Yes. Go Bills. No disagreement there. Just watch out for this year. Every move McBeane's have made so far benefits 2018 and beyond. Not 2017. They will compete this year no question, and maybe 6 guys play beyond their chart, but , oh my gosh watch out for 2017. Glenn looks to be out, there are no WRs, Clay has a bad knee that ain't gettin' better, TT looked better in the old offense. I don't see these guys putting any points up this year , do you?
  13. I think they need to go out and compete with this roster. No more changes. It's a 6 win team with this roster. Running it well and playing good defense is great between the 20's; red zone offense and defense, plus the usual rash of injuries and guys checking out will put them at 4-12. Just let the horses run and hold your noses for 6 months. Hey maybe a half dozen guys play way above expectations. Who knows. But this is what happens when ownership changes and they blow up the entire football organization a couple times. They'll come out the other side. The McBeanes will get it right in time.
  14. not good enough. need the Peterman tank... get him in there by week 6 and we are good to go for 3-13. everyone just needs to hold their collective noses for 6 months... can you do it?? we need a great QB prospect in the draft absolutely. screw 2017. lose out boys, but with honor .....
  15. tank with honor (whatever that means). that means go to Peterman week 5 after TT struggles, and basically lose out with a couple token home wins against teams with bad QBs. This vet part of the roster is pretty much shot (TT, Clay, Dareus didnt' work out/overpaid, Kyle is done, Glenn is ??, Wood is done). time to reload.
  16. I honestly cannot think of a team who would have a worse record than the Bills this year. Jets? Look alike, but with a serviceable QB and a better defense. Browns? Way more talented than the Bills. 9ers? maybe, but they are in year 2 of their rebuild, not year 1. Rams? probably a .500 team this year and way more talented than Bills. Now Glenn is probably out; looks really bad for this year. run it and play defense? boring, losing football; will likely lead the league in single digit losses this year.
  17. Bills have a great RB, should have a solid defense, have some talent, will play hard. And win like 6 games, maybe, bc they don't have a top 10 QB. The rules are geared to passing, passing offenses score TDs in 3-4 minutes, running teams grind out 10 play drives and hopefully don't turn the ball over by the time they get to the red zone and burn 10 minutes maybe scoring 7. Which means maybe teams with dynamite passing score twice as much on average. Can't help thinking this is the NQL, not the NFL. Am I right?
  18. 4-12. With no injuries they are a 6 or 7 win team. with the usual rash of guys going down, i see this spiraling to sh-t by the bye week. Frankly , I hope TT goes down and they tank to 2-14. Go get some talent in the draft and rebuild the darn thing
  19. its all setting up well. the players are already checking out, 3-13 or 4-12 is highly likely, go get Darnold and 5 other top 3 round picks and build a team for the next 4-5 years. This year will be painful, but not any moreso than any of the last few. Without a top 10 QB, you're not going anywhere in the NQL (National Quarterback League). So just do something else on Sundays for a season. it will all get better.
  20. hope he's good. Bills need to build up a roster while they're going 3-13. Seriously. I want the record tank, but with talent building. Wrap the drafted franchise QB around it plus 5 other high picks , and off we go
