  1. by my calculations, he has about 40million reasons to be very satisfied with his NFL career
  2. i like the thread as it is original. but that's about all
  3. pretty clear the only way is to clean shot him out of a game, problem is you can't get a clean shot on QBs anymore; Brady's career has been played in the "protect the QB" era of the NFL, plus the guy is good
  4. IMO, he has at least identified correctly what is happening at OBD. whether fans agree its the right way to go or that the McBeanes are the ones to do it is an open question, but these are the guys Pegs decided to go with to replace Rexy and his crazy unplayable 3-4 defense, so thats at least a start
  5. I'd be surprised if more than 25 guys on this roster make to next year.
  6. this is actually working out perfectly. as long as Beane drafts well. in NFL, you need to get worse before you can get better. dumping dareus' contract would be huge, but run stuffing 3 techniques aren't really as important as they were 10 years ago. edge rushers and creative blitz schemes are what you need.. so I think they are stuck with dareus
  7. once Rex was canned, Rags was not going to be far behind... he drafted strictly to be downhill ILB banger in Rexy-Poo's 3-4. then he got hurt and then Rex D went away. Between his injury and ownership blowing everything up, this is not hard to understand. He's only useful to a handful of teams. Bllls aint' one of 'em. This is what happens when you blow it all up. The roster also gets blown up to a certain extent.
  8. no, actually it looks like they are....... they'll play/hard give 100%, blah blah because, f the team, personnel people around the league are studying tape in detail on all of them prior to FA. everyone gives 100%, not for the team, but for the next contract. these guys are independent contractors, screw the team (just ask Sammy and Darby, team was really loyal to them, huh?) . you're just rooting for laundry my friend.... its every man for himself in today's NFL
  9. they'll be ok. this season will be hard to watch though.
  10. + another 1. I could go on and on on this , but looks like the basic truths have already been posted. I won't be watching anything live this year. they look to be bottoming out this year. i know they are just trying out guys and patterns last night, so who cares about scores and points, but the talent doesn't look to be there. win 3 or 4 games, hang onto the top 12 talents on the team, then go get a QB and some other high draft choices. McBeanes will get it turned around. Not that difficult
  11. yep. about mid season at 1-7 and TT beat up and team largely putting out FA tape on themselves, you go with NP. get him 8 games of reps, go 3-13 and then grab Darnold. This is the best scenario regrettably. This offense will generate little, the D will hold and the games will probably be unwatchable.
  12. this season is working perfectly, the season will be one long e v a l process on the 3-13 roster they inherited.. then they go from there with a new QB next year. its all good. just ignore this season completely
  13. with any luck, TT has a concussion forcing NP to start. makes 0-6 start easier to explain
  14. Game was on here locally bc Baltimore is nearby. no need to tank. this roster will make it to 3-13 just fine all by themselves.
  15. when you live in a glass house don't throw stones the problem is that system will get him injured and out by week 8, just as it did in Cleveland. can't help us if he isnt on the field. I hope McD has a few safeties this year to plug in. his defense will burn through safeties pretty quickly
  16. kap doesn't seem to be able to play very effectively any more, that is the final rule in the NFL, and he brings too much baggage to even be a backup. he basically screwed himself. whatever, the guy made a boatload of dough so he just needs to go away and fly his private jets to protest sites for the duration...
  17. but the way the league and the rules are structured, not having one pretty much automatically makes you ineligible for the playoffs
  18. I am hoping for 4-12 or 3-13 as I don't think much of this roster and don't really care much if it turns over fairly quickly. Outside of a few younger talented guys we recently drafted or otherwise have under contract for awhile (Lawson, Glenn, Dawkins, TWhite, Washington, Hyde, Hughes, Dareus), the rest can be pissed off at a 3-13 tank and leave in FA for all I care Wood, Shady, Clay, TT aren't the future and would be long gone anyway by the time a drafted franchise QB was ready to shine, so they can go. It just didn't work out while they were here with WhaleyRex. It's not a Sabres-type tank, but it is a restart/rebuild; I don't care what the public position of McBeanes is. When they're 1-8 and Peterman is in you'll see. Go Bills.
  19. whatever. they've shown they'll do just about any deal that improves the team. Sammy was a salary cap deal, the other bc the guy didn't fit the scheme
  20. Players play for contracts, not teams anymore. Stevie just looking for a another $$ fix at career end. Don't blame him, but don't be fooled that its kumbaya
