  1. I agree. WNYers are a bunch of winers. The biggest problem is Ralph is a tightwad who plays favorites. Evans plays ball, kisses the ring, and gets his $$. Peters is more typical of today's NFL player and he'll get shipped out for a 2nd rounder.
  2. they gave Evans that., and Peters plays a position that is more important. do you guys want to win, or not? see.. this is the problem with the Bills, WNY and all that,, its a second tier little town that has no concept of what major league sports are today... if you wan't to play you have to pay... that having been said,.. lets trade him..if we can get a 1st rounder+
  3. whatever floats your boat... changes nothing in my mind... the image i get when I think "Buffalo" hasn't changed ...
  4. i think its great.. we suck and have no shot at the title until the team is sold and moves to an area that has some money.. lets have some fun in the meantime...
  5. well said.. go to the games against other bad teams, so at least the day will be fun and the team wins... when they play the Pats, etc. do something else that day
  6. Just keep buying tickets, merchandise and continue supporting an 7-9 team. Ralph will be happy to take your moneyand put it in his pocket instead of paying for better players and coaches. in other words, do what wny idiots have been doing for the 10 years.. give ralph wilson your money
  7. TRUE. This franchise will compete for a title only once it is sold and leaves WNY. If you wanna play in the NFL, go gotta be able to pay. the NFL has outgrown WNY and its conservative, provincial management team.
  8. Absolutely. I want my team to win again. They will always be my team no matter where they are. Get Ralph out.
  9. This is the point.. Ralph is too cheap to bring in top tier talent. the bills will be 8 and 8 forever until the team is sold ...
  10. when a quality bills player reaches the end of their 1st NFL contract, say yr 4 or 5, they leave. why? more $$ elsewhere, better place to live, better organization. the rock stars of today's nfl don't want to be in a middle of the road, glad-we-just-have-a-team situation... if the money is just as good elsewhere, why the hell would you stay in f ing buffalo... geez, this is simple..
  11. My guess is we're inside the top 5. 2009 will be ugly. Indy, Carolina, Falcons, Saints, Pats twice, Phins twice.. who are we kidding... this ain't the 2008 schedule...
  12. Anyone who lands in Buffalo for the first time without any ties to the area has to be absolutely appalled with most of what they see. Thats why the media pans the place constantly . Come in for a couple days, stay at the Hyatt across from a dead and boarded up Main St. and then leave. ... so it figures (at least to me) that any media guy interviewing a new bills player (especially one from Cali.) will try to play the "doesn't buffalo suck" angle on a player to see what he says. they all do it, even on the air... so Trent probably is pretty homesick, my gosh, if you had the $$ to live anywhere you wanted and your stuck in buff, how could you not at least say you were "homesick".. he could have said what Mcgahee said, which was probably what he was thinking..... do you think the majority of bills players really want to play in buffalo?
  13. there will never be a new stadium built in WNY. there are no $$$ to build and no corporate suite revenues to support it. Its the Ralph or nothing unless the state or some rich guy makes a bad business decision and builds it out of charity. Not a lot charity going around these days and rich guys don't make bad business decisions to be charitible... Kelly is dreaming..
  14. lets track won loss records in preseason.. maybe we can win the preseason championship!!
  15. then they are doomed to endless mediocrity... and I guess thats good enough for WNYers .. just to have a team, crappy as it will always be, than not to have one at all... yep , sounds like the buffalo i know...
  16. great. get pounded right out of the box. 09 will be a long season
  17. who would pay for naming rights? the team gets no national media exposure because the team sucks. And ratings for regional Bills games on TV are the lowest in the league (outside of the relatively tiny WNY population, who the heck gives a crap about the Bills game??) So the main body of people who see the name are a bunch a bombed 20-somethings who come to home games. I woundn't pay much to put my org's name on that piece of crap because no one will see the name..
  18. The state tax thing is another big problem... players would much rather be in Florida or Texas (no state income tax) than in New York state>> state income tax is what 7%>> that's huge when you are making 5or 6 mil per year...
  19. you are smoking crack. Even if cheapo Ralph breaks the bank for Peppers, several teams will match whatever outrageous number that is and then the decision comes down to "do I really want to be in Buffalo f'ing New York for the rest of my career with a lame duck coaching staff, a 2nd tier organization and a near death owner?" ahhhh, nope. Lets stop fooling ourselves. Please. this isn't a fantasy football draft. Go get another Stroud or Mitchell and thank goodness they were willing to actually come to the place....
  20. Give me Everette Brown. All day, all night. Sack machine. And the guy is smart, as well.
  21. You're nuts. You can have brawn AND brains with Everette Brown. Draft him #1 and watch he and Schobel (assuming he comes back 100%) tear it up next year...
  22. Give me Everette Brown.. Guy already graduated. He's a junior. And he's a beast. does anti-smoking commercials.. seems like a quality person... and he can play... go get him... if schobel comes all the way back.. watch out!!
  23. Ravens stadium is fantastic and also in the city. Great sitelines, very tight to the field. Beautiful. Fedex is a monstrocity but the amenities are great (screw the game, just sit in the cigar bars all game and have a ball..). The Ralph is fine but embarrasing as the fans turn the whole property into a garbage dump. The Ralph on a nice day is awesome. on a really cold or windy day its tough.. yes, the fans are too rowdy, but hey they're all south buffalo knuckleheads, so what would you expect...
  24. solid point. they will bring some people in. it will be a lot like last year. draft some neat players. sign a couple 2 tier but good FAs and then go sell tickets...
