  1. they were playing the Jets and won by 9 late. lets hold the reviews until we see a few more games
  2. my guess is that this thing will start looking like a tank when injuries to key starters begin piling up... if they don't, then, like any NFL team that is injury free, winning against even better on paper opponents will keep happening ... in game key injuries and turnover ratio really turn games and seasons around, for good and bad its early days people
  3. Carolina D will dominate and Olsen will have a field day against college-sized guys Poyer/Hyde, but if Dareus shows up and with a +2 on turnovers, yeah maybe.
  4. yes they will. the team is still healthy, so maybe, just maybe if things on both sides continue to jell quickly, and and and they stay healthy..............
  5. he keeps his job as long as he keep the $$ coming in. and look at us, talking about him. feeding the beast. just ignore him and he will go away.
  6. Negative: Front 4 could not get there --- Cam Newton will have a field day next Sunday. But hey its a home opener win and that's good! The over/under is still 4 wins. Shady: so many touches -- won't make it through the season. Almost lost him week 1 for crying out loud.
  7. we shall see. still think the over under is 4. they won't be able to do what they did today against 90% of the opposition this year. we shall see.
  8. take it and run. w's a w
  9. just stop this bashing crap, stop f ing relishing in the failures of guys that left the bills... just stop. you look like a 5 year old
  10. Jets. they are not very good. 21-12? Home game? Well, take it and run, but watch out.
  11. i wonder..... less explosive athletes actually can be counted on to be on the field all year... so good enough, but not TOO good, too crazy athletic may the way to go ? interesting
  12. yep. not Gilmore's coverage. amazing that bitter, dumb Bills fans on this thread can't see that it obviously wasn't man coverage on that play. come on guys, if you can't see cover 2 (even on TV) you need to watch another sport... you really think Gilmore lets him go like that if he's in man? Plus if he's in man, he's gone chasing a WR, not a RB. geez, such anger. I'm with you that Gilmore wasn't worth the contract he got, but he is certainly a good man cover guy. We just couldn't use him as Frazier strictly is a Cover2/3 guy and his contract had expired.
  13. well, go beat the Jets and be on top of the division after week 1. go bills.
  14. yep. in the eyes of the media, Bills are firmly entrenched as an NFL wanna be franchise. Only one way to fix that. The Kelly era teams got butt-kissed by the media too so the Pats getting it now follows. Time to go win some games.
  15. yes indeed. they are in now mode now. prep mode is over for 2017. go play the games. roster is pretty much set now. tanking/dumping talent in the strict sense is not a workable thing in the NFL. only so many moves you can make given cap/dead$$/need-to-put-a-team-on-the-field implications. NHL rosters you can quickly tank given farm team support/smaller, simpler to manage $$ implications, NFL rosters not so much Sammy was a calculated risk cap move -- smart. Darby and others were scheme/mentality non-fit moves -- expected after regime change -- smart. They weren't tank moves. They've added talent as well, scheme/mentality fits -- players they know and like -- smart. I am a believer is bringing in people who are known quantities when you can. They are doing just that. And they are moving as fast as the rosters/teams/league will support. Rodak is just reflecting what the average fan is saying to get readers, which tells you something about the average fan........
  16. hmmm..... could be a plan.... oh no
  17. I will follow but probably not watch, as Bills will be on the short end 3 out of 4 times this season, I don't get any of the games anyway, am surrounded by Redskins/College FB fans and I am a bit tired of being a slave to the NFL every Sunday. Time to do some other things on Sunday and watch MNF, TNF, etc. which is a better fit with my golf affliction anyway
  18. they'll be fine... hope the few wins this year are all at the Ralph
  19. not sure we're not. everything in the world points away from it, but they could be 100% healthy all year, jell behind NP, ZJ could come out of nowhere and be OROY and Shady could break the all purpose yards record as he will have 30-40 touches/targets per game. who knows. how's that for optimism?
  20. pretty sure the tank is in for this year. not stated, but everything they've done so far says this year is being sacrificed to the future. they'll play hard and compete, bc the players are individuals largely playing for contracts which will please fans rooting for laundry now and again, but 4-12 sure looks like the over under for this group. Maybe they stay really healthy and a team of free agents and rookies jells, but that is such a reach as to be laughable.
  21. Miller may be no good at the cut-type zone blocking needed in the new run offense. Ever think of that? The new run offense blocking is 180 deg switch from the Roman run game. Need to be super agile and be able to slide off and get upfield... maybe he can't do it very well? It's at least a possibility. Plus I am in agreement that anyone not wanting to go through a complete team restart with completely new and different schemes needs to go as they will be cancers in the locker room eventually. In any event, this was a 4 win team with or without Williams and Miller. Rex ruined the locker room with his country club, hands-off attitude. set the franchise back a few years. it needs to be rebuilt.
  22. Overrated: making it to 4 wins in 2017 Underrated: what McBeane's will accomplish as early as 2018 given the opportunity
  23. now this is a useful thread. thanks for starting it
  24. doesn't matter bc neither one will be anywhere near OBD next March... they are "camp arms" for this season.
