That damn Josh McDaniel, what's he doing trading
8-8 Forever? replied to Lv-Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Bills are headed straight for 2-14 and another 1984-5 like " ice age "at 2BD. Good to be a broncos fan right now. Bills are worst franchise in NFL. at least lions have a QB -
Folks, firing Jauron is not the answer
8-8 Forever? replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why are the Bills part of the AFL 50th anniversary celebration? Looks like they are celebrating the 25th, the glorious Silver Anniversary of the 1984 season and are working toward matching that years 2-14 record in celebration. In fact looks like they'll celebrate next year the 25th anniversary of the 1985 season, another 2-14 campaign. . Well, I was fired up for this game, watched all of it and convinced my son and daughter that this was a game against a botttom 15 team we could and would win. And they found yet another way to lose. Instead of a KO fumble its a punt fumble. As I mentioned several times they are back in serious rebuilding mode. With 2 more LBs out, we are seriously looking at 2-14. A real debacle. Other than the Raiders, the Bills officially have the worst record in the league. -

What should we all do to protest on Sunday?
8-8 Forever? replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Leave Ralph alone. He's given you want you really want. A team. People on this board clearly would take a team with an 8-8 record forever over having no team at all. you are your own worst enemies. you sell out the stadium for ralph year after year because the tailgate is 3/4 of the experience and he sucks you in with $35 tickets. The guy is brilliant. He's fould a way to make money in, arguably, the worst market in the country, not even a minor league baseball qualified market, and you get one of only 32 NFL franchises in the world for $35-$50 a shot , less than half of what the rest of the leagues fans pay. You should be cheering Ralph, not booing him. This area has no right to have an NFL team , the numbers simply won't work in today's nfl. The stadiums' paid for, Ralph has no debt, and therefore he kept the team here. He's done you a huge favor and you returned it. A good deal, fair and square. He is a very conservative guy, yes, but if thats his only fault thats ok by me.. and it should be ok for you too. -

I stand by my prediction: if they are 2-6 at the break, April replaces DJ at the start of the 2 week bye week break. Other than that, I doubt RW will fire him until year end. Think about it. RW got T.O. and therefore has already sold out the entire season, he's made all the money there is to be made this year. The hay is in the barn. He can bring in a new coach next year, get the fans all fired up again, sell out all the tickets again, the cycle continues... I wish I was ralph wilson... great business guy. Move another game to toronto for another big check. Brilliant. any you guys will all show up. -

Hey this is one game we can win! I would party it up like its 1999. Imagine your team is actually really good for one Sunday, like at the Tampa game. Until ownership/management and therefore, probably, location changes, a bottom 15 team is what we will have. So lets focus on the games against bottom 15 teams, especially at home, and enjoy some football on those days... once the O-line was fired and then 4-5 starters went out with injuries the team was officially in rebuilding mode and the season was over... to poop on the coach is stupid, because that level of coach is all this franchise in its current state will get, so no effect there, all you do is heap more embarrasment on an already embarrasing franchise and city. -
The bills have no mike singletary,, they are headed straight back to 1984-5. 3-13, 4-12. they cannot do any better..

TBD would like to welcome Scott Pitoniak!

Cowher is generally regarded as waiting for John Fox to be fired so he can take the full-charge Carolina job, and the way Carolina is going, it may even happen this year. He and his family and his home are centered in North Carolina and that is universally regarded as where he wants to be. No amount of $$ is going to get him to come to live in f ing buffalo when the SanDiego, Carolina, maybe even Dallas and other jobs may be available for the same or more $$.. can we please stop thinking all franchises and cities and owners are equal for the same dollars? What happens when Ralph dies? New ownership comes in and cleans house. Would you take a job where you know your boss is leaving and your company is likely moving as well when that happens (perhaps to a different country?). Cowher is not taking this job. Any coach who does may end up in Canada, which has to be the last place he, his wife and perhaps school age children wants to be. I do not believe coaches want to be ex-patriots as well... not part of the job description. This franchise is toast until long term ownership and management is in place and top tier prospective coaches/players, who can go wherever they want to , know what they are getting into. Think it all the way through people ... -
players defending jauron ... lol what a joke

oh shut up. Edwards gets it. He's in a sh_tty franchise and he knows it. He's in a bad spot , playing for his next contract in a crap franchise. He will be gone 1st oppty he gets. At least athletes at Stanford have to have grades to get in.. no apple polishing gonna work getting into those schools, even if you are an athlete... -
Pitoniak: "Time for some Cowher Power in Buffalo"
8-8 Forever? replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gruden is a lot like Jauron, not many options.. might have to suck it up and go to Buff just to stay in the league... the guy loves coaching that much... so maybe that works... more NFL leftovers for the poor bills... -

Until Ralph passes and a stable, long term owner and management team is in place, only guys trying to crack the NFL coaching ranks for the first time or are trying to just hang on (this goes for players too) , guys who know the franchise sucks top to bottom but want to get their feet wet anyway, will take the huge gamble on this franchise, which is always a heartbeat away from a complete change of ownership/management and probably location. Would you take a job knowing your boss was leaving soon and the company was likely to move to another unknown city thereafter? Answer: No. Stop dreaming Bills fans, the rock star NFL long age passed backward little Buffalo by.. reality bites... -
Well said. It's over, boys. You can either have a Lions/Chiefs type team or no team at all. Which will it be? Seems the fans enjoy the tailgate as much or more than the team, because it's been clear for some time that the team won't be much.
-
oh, shut up. Mangini is a screamer and look where it got him. that said , I would love to have Gruden, but the top coaches arent coming to buffalo. forget it. ralph wont pay and his passing will cause a complete housecleaning by a new owner.. no top coach wants in to that scenario... so you are stuck with Dick or one of his staff until ralph is gone and the team restarts with new management... My prediction has always been that dj is fired at the bye week with april taking over for remainder of season , with yet another coordinator taking over as head coach next year...

Pondering About The Game and season
8-8 Forever? replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
huddling gives the D time to scheme and change personnel and therefore confuse the newby O lineman. TE gets killed in this scenario. they are covering the inexperience of the line by playing faster... i like the no huddle. Half of the O lineman have no business starting in the nfl right now and they are covering this weakness by limiting defensive substitutions and exotic blitz schemes... this will be a good appoach this year... next year you will get your wish because the entire staff will be new and the o line will no longer be rookies.... -
Pondering About The Game and season
8-8 Forever? replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team is about the same as last years squad, more talent, but very young. probably 2-6 or best case 3-5 at the bye week. Miami will get 200+ on the ground but we dont have p manning. Loss. Cleveland. Win? I guess . Jets away? Loss, loss, no question there. at Carolina? not sure, probably Loss. they run the ball too well. thank goodness we are not facing any brandon jacobs types this year. that would be ugly. we can't stop pierre thomas some NFL O coordinator is going to inherit a pretty good team next year as bills HC at two bills drive. -
well, we have no shot against Miami, the way the Saints ran on us. So now you're 1-3, 0-2 in the division. No playoffs this year, friends. the next game I watch is probably the Cleveland game, more our speed. . We may lose to Houston now, as well. So 4-12 or 5-11 is more likely than not... do we play KC this year? that one will be worth a look as well... maybe Miami at home. Maybe.
-
those guys will come to f ing buffalo? Pls.. spare me the laughter.. b lo is where professional careers go to die... we'll get Bobby April, because no good coach will come knowing Ralph will pass anytime now and the whole organization will change.. no way any good coach is going near that scenario...
-
guys, they played a top 15 team today. this is the way the titans, colts, jets (x2) , pats games are going to go, compete, but come up short... now that's 7 losses right there.. this is a 7 win team, best case. just get used to it and hope they are at least a bit more entertaining when they lose to these teams... this is not a top 15 team.. just not there.. sorry..

I say play him.. looks like a very talented athlete with good size. this team is 8-8 best case this year.. get Byrd and Nelson in the darn games... Bryon Scott and the F-bomb are not the starters for 2010, these guys are... might as well make your rookie mistakes now -

8-8 Forever? replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
its all TV contract money anyway, so who cares? the TV money is largely the players money, let them have it. its over 100m per year per team.. spread it around... no players, no TV contract.. -
good one, obvious.. LOL.. made my day.. (haven't had much of a day..)

Steve Johnson sighting soon?
8-8 Forever? replied to RockPile007's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ditch TO and put Johnson on the field.. by the time Johnson is good/experienced, his rookie contract will be up and he will leave in free agency as most good bills do --- Bills as farm team to the rest of the NFL.
