  1. exactly. Felser and Wilson check with each other daily to make sure each has taken his meds. Old and Cold.
  2. Your last two sentences are the whole truth. Sadly, this franchise will accomplish very little until it is sold to an owner who wants to do what it takes to compete for title. the Vikings have a crappy stadium too and they are still doing whatever it takes to keep their best players and add others...
  3. They play hard but are overmatched from a talent perspective by half the league (at least). O Line is in rebuilding mode. Undersized/Injury prone. Not a .500 team. Will surprise a few people, because they play hard and have some skill players. Probably go 3-5 before the break and 3-5 after the break for 6-10. Jauron fired. And we start all over again. The Bills.
  4. Well said. the chargers job will be the one all the coaches want. Shanahan will be the front runner. Gruden a close second, although Jax a possibility for him. Other than Cowher. He will take the Carolina job without question. None of these will come anywhere near TBD. Bet on that.
  5. eh,,all these homers have man crushes on big ben and wish they could have a real nfl quarterback again.. its just qb envy.. let it go.. TE will be fine, if his brains unscramble...
  6. good point. TE could get knocked out this game. Jenkins will destroy hanglider. I will TIVO this one and probably delete it. who needs the pain.
  7. put a fork in them. they are done. 2-14 a real possibility. #1 draft pick. too bad no one really stands out for next years draft. Bills are done. Move them to toronto. pls.
  8. what a homer. pls. Jets in a runaway. 38 - 13. More embarrasment in front of half the nation.
  9. A couple reasons: (1) although the Ralph is a dung heap, he doesn't need a stadium: savings: $700m, unless L.A. or Toronto builds him one. (2) dependable fan base that would probably pay a few bucks more and still fill the place. Now, whether this is a better financial deal than the return on the investment a new, higher revenue stadium with an uncertain fan base is the crux of the matter... also, moving to a more attractive city would bring a wider variety of coach and player possibilities. Gruden ain't moving from Tampa to Cheektowaga.
  10. and you probalby skirt the CFL objections about an NFL team competing with the Argos. suggestion: play 2 games in toronto next year, .. prove the case over time that the bills are not a threat.. when it comes time to play 4 or 5 games there, CFL objections will be muted... for those who think i am giving the team away.. i am simply trying to keep as much in WNY as possible... whoever buys the team from ralph will move it to wherever he has the best shot at recovering his or her investment... 8 games at the ralph will be suboptimal in any analyis, the population is too poor to support the investment. but 3-4 games at the ralph to hold interest and 4-5 games in toronto at double the ralph prices, now that might work... hold training camp in Niagara Falls, build the fan bases, etc. this is worth pursuing
  11. the bills are a no-brainer for Toronto because any WNYer with couple bucks in their pocket will be going to Toronto to watch them. If I am a buyer of the bills, I move them to Toronto, because I know I have an existing fan base that will come to the games. The Jags would have no fan interest at all and would be starting from scratch in toronto. I would like to see a half the games at the ralph and half in toronto... a real international team that draws from the entire region... they'd have the $$ to field a great team and a great organization, but there would still be games in the Ralph. I wonder if the league would allow the Skydome and the Ralph to split the games and meet the 'must have a big stadium' league requirement .. then rogers does not have to build a new stadium in toronto.. just refurb the skydome .. this is the best result.. maybe kelly owns some, whatever... do those big hovercraft still operate between toronto and niag falls??
  12. the cost of stadium is an issue. unfortunately it appears that municipalities are still seriously working to build them (L.A., Santa Clara, etc.) that is a large hurdle overcome. Schumer is a toad who will have no say. Goodell will have a say, but once Ralph is gone, the free market takes over and not much Goodell or wishful thinking can do about that.
  13. this removes probably the largest barrier to moving the bills. can't believe municipalities and still paying for nfl stadiums. must be stimulus money
  14. this is why ralph wilson is the smartest guy in the world.. he owns a franchise in a place where the fans are OK with and keep buying tickets and merchandise while their best players simply walk away and are replaced by basketball players. i wish I was ralph wilson.. most bills fans can rationalize away anything...
  15. You are missing something. Mrs. Ralph does not want an interest in the team. She is out. She doesn't want to be Georgia Frontieri of Rams lore. Unless Ralph has been lying, the team is auctioned off and that is that. Having said all this, two things in favor of the numbers possibly working in WNY's favor is the fact that any buyer is required to have a 70,000 seat stadium. L.A. does not have one, nor does any other legit candidate city. During these times, no local/state authority will be funding a stadium. This is a huge burden on the numbers for any buyer. Plus, you know you will have the stadium filled in WNY, you do not know this for sure anywhere else. Therefore if some guy from indiana buys the team, he has to think twice before moving the franchise away from RWS and the fan base.
  16. Bills get slaughtered in front of what will be essentially a national TV audience. More embarrasment heaped on this franchise. I will TIVO it. If a miracle occurs, I watch the replay. Otherwise, what's the point. They should be playing preseason games with this roster.. or UFL.. not in the NFL against top 15 teams.. Just embarrasing.
  17. ;Time to move this franchise and end the buffalo experiment. it failed.
  18. this is a great thread. thanks all for sticking to logical arguments and not being stupid homers
  19. good post. peters was a pain in the butt, but he was a top 10 left tackle and should have been paid or at least forced to play out his contract this year while a replacement was sought.. OBD blew that one.
  20. he gains nothing, he should wait until after the season and change to a new coach just before season ticket renewal time. Get another coach, lots of hoopla, stupid fans renew their tickets due to the new hope (similar to reaction to TO) and all is good at 2BD. and the stupid bills fans will do it. they do every time. guys, the kelly years were a fluke ,.. a one timer.. it will never happen again... we are back to 1984 people 2 - 14 forever. we are the new lions.
  21. who they won't pay. if you thought crabtrees holdout was long...
  22. the tailgate is 3/4 of the reason half the fans go to the games
  23. +2. DJ would fall down if he did that. Welcome a new ice age at two bills drive. find another team to support until ralph is gone
