  1. I am convinced the tailgate is half the experience for Bills fans. the tickets are very cheap. Its a cheap day . Raise the ticket prices to the NFL average and see how many fans show up. they are there for the party, the game tkt is cheap enough... their the only game in town... what else is there to do..? you can only go to the Frank Lloyd Wright house so many times...
  2. An experienced GM + Dungy + Vick? I'd take that in a minute. Won't happen, but I'd take it in a minute.
  3. talk about the kettle calling the (meat-filled) pot black... when you live in a glass house, don't throw stones...
  4. Not sure. Bills probably end up in L.A. or Toronto within the next 3-4 years, so not the Winds will be much of a factor...
  5. Well said. Good post. Bills = Bisons. AAA development for the big leagues.
  6. good post. the answer to your first question is "no one". this is easy. until long term ownership is in place, no one you've ever heard of is running this team...
  7. and when his rookie contract is up, he will leave, just like everyone else who has learned the game at the bills expense...
  8. he was playing lights out when I was watching. not sure where you were. should have made him play out his contract, just like last year. stupid bills..
  9. i hope its blown up top to bottom... hire a GM first and let it roll from there...even the bobby aprils of the world are going away.... there is no other way forward imo. the present situation is just so distasteful at this point. d
  10. Need both, unfortunately. The two positions hardest to draft accurately and the two needed the most. Gosh it stinks to be a bills fan. Gonna be a long time before this team is any good.
  11. everything is being blown up, so talking about this individual player or that is pointless .....
  12. What's histerical about this is: If the Colts sign JP AND clinch home field b4 the game with the Bills, LOSMAN will be playing QB for the Colts at the Ralph in the last game of the season... !! who'da thunk?
  13. the Front Office w/b totally replaced by draft day. no worries there.
  14. and even if we lose out, we may not draft higher than 10th. 8 teams with less or same number of losses as bills.
  15. this franchise is in for some hard times the next few years... as always..
  16. Get smart and draft a LT #1. Doesn;t matter who the skill positions are if the line stinks/
  17. I agree. His son is very talented as well ( O coordinator for the Texans). We can hope. Shanahan would be good for the team. He's kind of a small city northern guy, wants back into the league. I like the idea of giving him a piece of the team. This would his last rodeo, so the fear of Ralph passing and everything changing is muted a bit. Especially if he gets a piece of the proceeds of the teams sale.
  18. Plus you might get his son eventually, who runs the most innovative offense in the league (Texans), who can take over from his dad when he is done...
  19. The team is going 3-4 next year in all likelihood, leaving Schobel, Scott, Wilson, Williams out in the cold. They will need to sign one of the 4 big time nose tackle free agents and draft a big strong LB to play inside with Poz. Mitchell to the outside with a FA LB. Secondary: neither Wilson nor Whitner work, but Whitner probably a better fit. The wild card will be whether Stroud and Kelsay can move to 3-4 ends and can Maybin transition to LB. Green Bay did the same transition this year. Same thing coming for the Bills next year. the current defensive scheme is getting blown up, thankfully...
  20. Any new coach will be going to a 3-4 and guys like Scott who are too small even for the 4-3 tampa-2 are WAY too small to be LBs in a 3-4. No Bryan Scott next year. Or Ellison either. This thing is getting blown up.
  21. What if Ralph dies in the middle of said process? I'll tell you: the whole thing gets turned upside down. No quality coach with other options is going anywhere near this combination disaster/timebomb. Sorry guys, its Weis , Haslett or someone similar for this franchise until long term ownership is in place. and ralph is anything but long term...
  22. Someone who doesn't need the money and is offered $7-9million to go to a franchise having a updated facilities, a new stadium and an owner with some miles left whose franchise isn't going to be sold, moved to who-knows-where and re-staffed top to bottom the instant he passes. I believe Cowher, Billick, Shanahan, Gruden and any NFL head coach worth a darn fits that description nicely.
  23. Give me a break. Read the tea leaves guys. The media insiders are very politely telling us that these guys don't want this job. Period. No experienced NFL coach with a good track record is moving his spouse and family to f ing B lo unless they have some ties to the area. WNY is a place to leave, not one you willingly move to, unless motivated for personal reasons. Stinks, but it is true. The Charlie Weis's of the world (no job, want back into the NFL) and the Jim Hasletts (personal history in the area) are the only guys who we can seriously think about getting. Weis would be good as his staff can come with him, as they will all be canned as well. Not perfect, but no magic wand is getting waved over this franchise anytime soon...
