  1. very interesting indeed. and ralph will have like no costs if the league stops. stadium paid for, etc etc. guys like Jones, et al have billion $ stadiums to pay for.. owners will be under pressure to cave .. should be interesting...
  2. Agree. Lafevous IS brian brohm. Kelly had a bunch of hall of famers and pro bowlers around him.
  3. Great post. To all, this is the correct answer to the question. The QB has the ball right away when taking it directly. No looking at the ball at all. Makes all the difference...
  4. draft him low and make him a tight end.
  5. bradford is more brittle than edwards. he looks more like a shooting guard than an NFL qb. pass. he'd never survive the hard cold turf of the ralph in november.
  6. vick paid his price. let the dog thing go. PETA people go away . this is the NFL, not a choir. these guys are not angels. and this guy, unlike many others, paid the price. the price has been paid. if we can get him cheap and he proves he can still play, our team needs a guy like that...
  7. Hargrove was good. messed up life, but good player. so, like all bills, sent packing/leaves town, gets his act together , now in SB. stupid bills...
  8. that is true for the most part. certainly for DBs, where FA salaries are out of this world. they practically had to let Clements go. but the tampa 2 defense had a lot to do with it. if you could not run, you were out . big guys like Spikes, pat williams, jim leonard, others simply did not fit. corners were expendable, as shut down/exceptional/expensive corners are not needed in the tampa 2 as you don't play man to man coverage much if at all.... the tragedy is now we go back to the 3-4 where you need those guys again. stupid bills.
  9. a rookie QB will get killed behind that line. no qb this year. go with what qbs you have, add a FA if one falls to you, and draft the lines and LBs, switching to 3-4 and putting in a new offense will be enough for one year. there will be no playoffs in 2010, playing the nfc and afc north plus our own division.. this thing will take several years to turn around. build from the lines out.
  10. I still think we take a long, long look at Brohm.. this guy has all the tools... ok go ahead, fire away...
  11. no way we get this guy. no sense re inventing life when you are 2 yrs from hanging it up.
  12. all of them 5 yards downfield, of course
  13. yep, they'll be kicking the Bills around the field for years to come..
  14. that too many men in the huddle penalty cost minn the game...
  15. do they makeover the entire city?. needs it.
  16. amazing. 15 months ago we had him in the pro bowl. stupid bills fans..
  17. you will likely be in the minority, me thinks. half the teams fans don't even live in the area anymore. they will simply see their team in a different stadium on TV..
  18. I sincerely hope you are right. But I've lived in Dallas, Chicago and DC for the past 25 years and the Bills are simply not part of the NFL conversation among NFL fans. They just kind of listen to you and then go the other way. Just not part of the average fans vocabulary. Being crappy for 10 years hasn't helped. No one wants to see them move, I agree, the place/franchise is an interesting "curiosity" in NFL lore. Hey , I grew up in the Ralph. My point was that if/when it happens, the publicity will likely be narrow and brief. That's all. Doesn't make it right, it just is.
  19. that is exactly what will happen. 6 games in toronto, 4 in the Ralph. done. no one taking on a $750m mortgage for a franchise is going to rely on income solely from the leagues smallest , poorest market to pay it off. . sucks, but WNY hasn't been able to afford the bills in a long time... the NFL is the big time financially , and WNY is less than minor league. heck the area can't even support a minor league baseball team.
  20. same thing for Bills in Toronto. 90 minutes and you are there. Less, actually. And bills fans could still follow their team.
  21. if the bills move, no one outside of WNY will blink. plse, give me a break...the media will cover it for a few days and that will be it. "decent franchise, almost no success in 50 years, loyal fan base and owner despite complete meltdown of a once prominent city, blah blah blah. no one will care because no one who wasnt born there has ever been there.
  22. you got me on that one. I'd take b lo over houston.
  23. He has been crystal clear. Team auctioned off upon his demise. He owes the area nothing that he has not already delivered. this team should have been gone 15 years ago.
  24. which means the stupid bills won't do it. Like waiting 3 stinking weeks and hiring Frazier. Made so much sense they didn't do it.
