Or a AAA baseball team. That is my favorite analogy. Or, the Bills are like an NFL Europe team. A developmental squad for the real teams. This is not very far from the truth. We draft 'em, coach 'em up and then they get paid after their rookie 4-5 yr contract is up... by someone else. That is what we have. The NFL passed this franchise by many many years ago.

Seahawks interested in Lynch
8-8 Forever? replied to PNW_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
anyone can run behind a good O line. get that fixed and lynch can go... -
and we will be 0 -6 in the division this year. but we have a high character team. great.

If Brohm skips his senior year, he is a top 5 pick by everyone's measure. The talent is there, the Packers simply never gave him half a chance as they had their guy rodgers. On paper he is way better than TE or Fitz, and those two have done relatively little on the field, so that makes it an open competition. Give him some protection, the guy is a physical stud and he is a winner. Don't blow a top pick again on a QB, pls. That is for next year, when better prospects are available.

Probably Jake Locker. but have to lose 11 or 12 games to get him in next years draft. Can Bills nation survive another nightmare season?
-
a fine college QB. put him in the Auburn hall of fame and be done with it. end of discussion. Gailey will coach up Edwards limit what he does , and he will be our guy, in my view, like it or not. We will win 4 or 5 games and draft Locker. This is simple.

Haven't you been paying attention? The bills for years have built their AAA minor league team with so-so drafting and "damaged-goods", or "bargain" players no one else wants, straight out of the sale rack at Two Guys. . Campbell would be a perfect fit. Another B- player for a B- franchise. But the stands are filled every Sunday, aren't they? I wish I was Ralph Wilson. Smartest business guy in the league.

We need an elite LT and the Redskins need picks

I think I would take a 1 and a 2 to move from 9 to 4. there are value charts that lay it out, but moving from 9 to 4 is pretty big move -
Agreed.

Bills offered McNabb an extension

at least the redskins are trying to win a championship. the bills are happy to field a reasonably competitive, low cost team and collect the revenue. redskins fans have reason to be "fan"atics again, we don't . at some point you have to take some bullets. -

i'm not happy about being "right", but lets face it, the best players and coaches don't want to be around this franchise. Period. Everyone is polite, saying all the right things, then they go somewhere else. Lets hope last years draft class and this years draft class play out of their minds, because help ain't comin' from anywhere else. Chan might be just the guy for this Bad News Bears team. Take what ya got and find a way to make them productive. AND, keep everyone on the field, less injuries. -

Going to the Bills is like being sent down to the minor leagues. As long as there is anywhere else to go, who wants to do that? Bribery won't work. the better players have plenty of cash. they can choose where they play. and b lo is at the bottom of everyone's list. We get the players no one else wants. Schobel would be smart to retire. this franchise is lousy. -
Bradford's workout leaves crowd in awe.

Patriots Sign Alge Crumpler
8-8 Forever? replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. All things being equal, the Bills sign no one. Players do not want to be there, all other things (pay, etc.) being equal.. We get the damaged goods (Stroud, which worked out, Dwan Edwards.. we'll see... ) -
Jason Peters...a little salt
8-8 Forever? replied to BB Fan 4 LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
should have made him play out his contract, find/develop his replacement, then let him walk. that was the smart move. trading for a no. 1 was a good second choice, but that left you vulnerable for an entire season. stupid bills. -
Predict Bills Record Next Season
8-8 Forever? replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yep. i get the same result. 5 -11. top 5 pick. thats why we don't draft a QB high this year. will have the opportunity to get the top 1 or 2 qbs next year. the draft is loaded with lineman.. do that this year. the coming season is a lost cause in March.. anyone who doesnt believe this is a complete ground start rebuild is kidding themselves... -
yep. 5 max.

new defense, everyone playing a new position, mediocre talent, playing favre, Big ben, palmer, rodgers, pats, phins, jets 2x each, we'll be lucky to win 4 games... -- i love the bills, but lets face it, they are essentially nothing but a developmental team for the rest of the league... we draft em, coach em up with minor league (ex-college) coaches, and the really talented ones leave once their rookie contracts are up. like AAA minor league baseball. the bills are the Bisons. only a change of ownership can change this.

Derek Anderson blasts Browns fans...

the bills are at the top of this list, unless we can all agree they are in 100% rebuilding/expansion team mode and going young and inexperienced is the way to go.. man, 2010 season is going to be awful.. who could buy season tickets this year? you have to be nuts. -
Trades I make to improve our Bills
8-8 Forever? replied to FavreDolla_Footlong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
agreed. only real talent nets 2nd round draft picks. I think we have what we have. trading down from 9 should be done but prob will not happen. everyone wants more picks. everyone trying to do the same thing. meaning very little of it gets done has to be two sides to every market. a buyer and a seller (of picks).. -
Same QB's = Same Result = Wasted Year

Ralph will be gone b4 they are good again, which means the franchise will be gone b4 they are good again. sad. -
anyone who renews their season tickets is crazy. let em go. better seats will be available after THIS season. i bet the Bills have less than half the stadium in season tickets in 2011. they are going to be very bad in 2010, complete rebuilding season full of blowouts, mistakes galore and growing pains. it will be very hard to watch.

I was suprised Incogneto not tendered
8-8 Forever? replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
unfortunately, this year will be worse than last year. hard to predict otherwise.. Gailey won't be pulling any magic in his first year. doesn't have the horses. defenses will eat this team up this year. Vikings, Steelers, Bears, Bengals. it will be ugly. But then we get a top 3 pick and take Locker and away we go.. maybe in another city, but away we go...
