  1. Well, Lions essentially beat the Bears in Chicago today, so their ahead of us. Rams looked pretty good. We are closing in on "worst team in the league" status. We'll be there by week 5.
  2. Come on Jerry, the team absolutely sucked today. Henne throws one pass correctly and Miami butterfinger DBs make a couple catches I could make and we lose by 30. Quit bitching about the refs. Weak.

  4. Dude, wake up. We suck. Really badly. Everyone knows it and the media is no exception. Get ready for worse as this team will absolutely start out 0 -4. Wait to see what they are saying a month from now. They don't deserve an ounce of respect, and I've been a fan for 40 years.
  5. Poor Chan, people will want him run out of town by week 5, with the schedule the bills play weeks 1 - 4.
  6. Two guys with WNY ties. The B team, just like the product on the field. No one else wanted the game I'm sure. Top media guys don't want to do bills games, because no one is watching. Good for us, because both guys are homers, but from a media perspective, minor league.
  7. A very large group of bills fans have pretty much had it with the Bills. They have been and are now run like a minor league baseball franchise and a very large group of loyal fans understand that now. But, they can't let go because, like me, this has been "my team" for whatever, 30-40years you grew up watching them, blah blah, and the interest will always be there, which just triples the pain. So, "hating the dolphins" is sort of stupid, when your team is not doing much to compete with them. The deck is stacked against the bills, and no amount of "dolphin hating" or "other team hating" is going to get us past the simple fact that the bills are a backwater franchise in a league that has largely passed it by and largely made it irrelevant.
  8. They STILL have listeners because they reflect the views of most fans. Until the Bills start winning some games, what they say is right on and reflects the crap team that's been on the field the past 10 years.. Bills have a long way to go to impress anyone, especially the media...
  9. Green is a biased Jets fan, so whatever. However, the Bills are 3 or 4 key injuries away from being 2 - 14. Billieve it. The team is too thin in terms of talent (disasterous dropoff from 1st teamers) If this team gets 3 or 4 key injuries (O Line, D Line, WR), forget about it. Nightmare city. And you know it will happen, happens to almost every team in the NFL.
  10. whoopee. we still lose a ton of games this year and are a league doormat. again.
  11. We'll see. Most Bills fans were pushing him for the Pro Bowl less than 24 months ago. Maybe he pulls a Trent Dilfer on us............. nah... You are probably right. The Bills are just a farm team for the rest of the league. They are the Buffalo Bisons of the NFL. If NFL Europe was still around .. it could have expanded to the U.S. in Buffalo. After 10 years of this crap, just TIVO the games, wait to see the final score and then decide whether to watch it or not. Cheering live for a minor league team trying to play up to the bigs is just asking for extreme pain.
  12. Anyone who thinks this year's team is better than last years ( before all the injuries ) is absolutely dreaming .. the O Line is the same, best case, QB same, RB a bit better, WRs/TEs definately worse. Defense just as weak. Gonna be a long season folks. There's that word again.. Hope. Hoping is a waste of time in the NFL. Either you have the goods or you do not. the Bills do not.
  13. Gailey is middle of the road. Just like the rest of the players, management and ownership of the team. A competitive, but minor league outfit in the context of today's NFL. Cannon fodder for the rest of the league. An entry point to the league. Donald Jones and David Nelson probably would not make the roster of any other NFL team. The Bills are like the Bisons, an entry point to the big show. Everyone on that roster wants to be somewhere else, and is planning on being somewhere else once their contract is up. We are going to give up a ton of points this year. That defense is swiss cheese against the run. On the other hand , my sense is Gailey will put up points. This games will be fun to watch, but I see our run game falling apart as we have to pass to stay in games.
  14. Lets see what we're all saying when they come out 0 - 4 . Phins, Pats, Packers and Jets. I do not see how this particular Bills team beats any of them this year. In fact, the away games vs the Pats and Packers could be particularly one sided. Face it gang, this team is under-talented playing completely new schemes with new coaches against highly talented teams with top tier coaching, especially the first 4 weeks. Gonna get ugly.
  15. AGREED. TIVO THE GAMES AND WATCH THE WINS AND DELETE THE LOSSES. UNTIL THIS THING TURNS AROUND ITS THE ONLY WAY.
  16. I am quite sure Trent Edwards is among the lowest paid starters, if not the lowest paid in the league. His rookie deal is still in place and it is a absolute bargain for a starting nfl qb. Around $1m this year. Ryan Fitz. makes triple that. Every backup qb in the NFL makes more than $1m per year. Do the research before you post.
  17. this is by far the least talented bills team in the last 10 years, even after the cuts. gonna be a long season , folks.. is there a mercy rule in the NFL.. like you go 0-7 and they just end your season?
  18. my guess is they wanted to trade lynch to a team that lost their no 1 back. none of that happened this preseason to my knowledge.. so they keep him...
  19. This is one of the least skilled Bills rosters in history. Hope they stay 100% healthy and Gailey has a million tricks up his sleeve on offense, or else this is a 4 -12 season for sure. Sucks to be a Bills fan.
  20. that is exactly what it will take. when you are a winner, people notice, when you lose, you are forgotten
  21. agreed. the throwback uniforms with the joe ferguson era helmets (white with charging buff) would be the best combo
  22. Well at least we can find humor in this. a good start.
  23. unfortunately, the Bills and WNY are an afterthought both in NFL and media circles. Who in the rock star national media wants to spend a week in f ing buffalo researching the Bills? We have no marquee players, coaches or ownership, have crappy facilities in a relatively downtrodden area and haven't been to the playoffs in 10 years. There is nothing to write about. You can only eat so many times at Anchor Bar. Like it or not, the Bills and Buffalo are simply not part of the national conversation in any way, shape or form. The way the team and the city have consistently failed to perform over the past 40 years, they have no right to be and this should not be any big surprise. Our Bills have to start winning consistently before anyone will even acknowledge they exist.
  24. I agree with Sully, we did the best we could getting some 2nd tier guys who could step in to the 3 - 4, but these are not our starting LBs 3 years from now. Not even close. All we can hope for is they mostly stay healthy and competent all year. that will have to do for this year. no magic from that group.. If I covered and had to actually write columns on the bills for the past 10 years, I'd be insane by now.. or I would cope and tell it like it is, which Sully does. Maybe to an extreme, but he is generally on point, whether the average in the tank Bills fan likes it or not. The Bills suck and will generally get blasted by most teams they play this year. Sorry, but that is what will happen, barring an injury-free and turnover plus ++ season (like the one the phins had a couple years ago).
  25. Great post. I guess Buddy and Chan knew what they were doing avoiding these clowns after all. Whew, the Bills finally did something right in the draft. Also, Chan is a scheme guy who would love to have but doesn't require pro bowl talent to score points. If the players execute his offense exactly the way he draws it up, they will move the ball simply based on Chan's play calling expertise. That is Chan's strength.
