  1. Yep. Looks great. That's why they won't do it. BPA will be a WR or DB or a guard or something and they'll do that. Stupid bills.
  2. Relax JohnC... this entire thread is just another Blo fan "Misery loves company" rant. Die hard bitter Bills fans just love wishing ill on other teams. It's the WNY inferiority complex manifesting itself through sports fandom. Just root for your own team guys. Although he lets his love for his childhood team get the best of him, At least Snyder is passionate about his team and tries to put together an exciting team and recruit the best available talent. Ralph just sits in Detroit and counts his money.
  3. Yes, he is. Chan said long ago he would be playing offensive coordinator probably for this season only. Doesn't mean he can't change his mind.
  4. Don't look now, but the Bills are very very quietly building perhaps not the most talented, but a capable and deeper offensive line. Now Rhinehart looks good to Gailey and will start at RG for the last 3 games. Howard is not bad and he and Bell and Wrotto with an offseason of lifting and strength building (which Bell could not do for this year due to his serious knee injury) could be much more stout next year. Levitre, Hanglider and Wood are solid already. And Wang is a good talent who needed a year to learn and he got that year, so he will be bigger and stronger and smarter next year. Just maybe , just maybe we may have an o line that can handle the =AFC East 3 - 4 defenses next year , assuming there is a season.
  5. yeah, bills games are throwaways... the crew just prays it doesnt go to overtime and they miss their 7pm plane out. .. your announcing career is either just starting or over when you are doing bills games
  6. Barring the kind of devastating injuries that wreck seasons, 2011 will be a terrific season for the Bills. They get the NFC East (with McNabb and Vick at the Ralph) and the AFC West (so real AFL type rivalry games against Broncos and Chiefs at the Ralph instead of boring,, no rivalry Lions, Vikings, Packers, Bears) , plus San Diego and Oakland rivalry type games on the road. Plus, probably Titans and Bengals at home. Plus Cowboys and Giants on the road. So a much more exciting schedule, combined with a better team should make for a really great season, assuming there is one.
  7. I thought Sully had it right this time. Next season will look just like this season unless we a Julius Peppers or three on this team. You will be 8 - 8 Forever unless you have some real stars.
  8. I wonder if the Bills trade up to get him. I doubt it seriously. Lets see how Fitz does for three more very tough games. Since we won't get a top 3 pick, might as well win out and show people we can play.
  9. Howard is very likely your RT next year. There is no one else. Wang is a Guard. Wrotto is not a starter. Howard played well b4 being hurt. Stupar is another matter. Bills TE situation still a disaster. Shawn Nelson = James Hardy (looks pretty, but can't play). Stupar = Kelsay (great locker room guy, but who cares)
  10. When the team is sold the buyer will clean house. No one spends $700m on a business without bringing in their own people.
  11. Bills/Browns,the TV ratings for that one have to be skimming the all time bottom unless you live in Utica or Akron. Got news for you, east of Syracuse, they are mostly Jets fans.
  12. Now that is what makes Ralph Wilson a rich man. You are exactly the sap Ralph preys on. The "they'll watch anything" fan. I wish I was Ralph Wilson.
  13. Belichick wouldn't come to the Bills at any price for the straightforward reasons I stated. The Bills are like the local small town rugby club. Everyone gets along, the malcontents are shown the door (Peters, Williams, et al) the holiday party is great, as long as everyone kisses Ralph's ring before the night is out. Belichick is a top shelf, demanding SOB who kisses up to no one, and a top shelf entrepreneur successful business guy like Kraft (who doesn't need the Pats financially) gets it and lets the guy run the team. There is no fit between a guy like Belichick and WNY, Ralph or anything else about the Bills. Castoffs like Dick Jauron who just need a gig or first timers like Gregg Williams and Mike Mularkey are a fit. Sucks to be a Bills fan. So? They just plug the next Matt Cassell - type in and win 11 games, just like Cassell did. Assuming the management and coaching of the Pats stays intact, the bills will not be very competitive with the Pats this decade.
  14. This is just one long preseason.. good to see Wang getting some reps. Need to get more of him on tape so the coaches can see what he can and can't do. Same for Moats. So all good. Frankly, Maybin should be playing a lot as they already know what they have in the other OLBs. Just start the guy and let him play an entire game or two. Like in preseason. too bad this is probably preseason for 2012, not 2011.
  15. Batten and Davis going down did not help. Agreed that Ellison is not a 3 - 4 backer. Moats looks like a player. If Batten had gotten on the field, he would have been good too. Andra Davis is a stud, on the wrong side of his career, but a stud. LB is not a good position to have a lot of injuries if you run a 3 - 4 . OLB will be addressed in the draft I am sure. Doesn't really matter, as there probably won't be a season next year anyway.
  16. Yep. If Freddy had gone down this year, I bet Spiller with 20-25 touches a game would have produced some highlight reel stuff. We let this guy go at our own peril. Belichick would love to have him I'm sure.
  17. Kellen Winslow JR.
  18. Chan and crowd have been very clear on D Bell. His injury prevented him from doing much strength work and he has been getting by this year on speed and quicks as he recovers from the injury. This off season he hits the weights like they wanted last year. I expect he will be a beast next year. Then his rookie contract will expire and he will leave in FA for huge $$ and a better team/city. This is the way of the Bills.
  19. Agreed. Too early to tell. He has the physical size and gifts, unlike Maybin, who looks like an eighth grader playing in a high school game. Spiller just needs to learn to run in the NFL (its a shame the stupid Bills let Eric Studeville get away as he taught several bills backs the NFL running game): Maybin needs a body transplant from James Harrison. Unless Maybin commits to get bigger, Stronger and meaner at the point of attack, he is a bust.
  20. agreed. I am a bills fan in the D.C. area and the redskins have had some very serious injury problems on offense, plus they drafted two WRs a couple years ago who were busts. Shanny is pretty much starting from scratch on offense. Bills fans are just jealous and mad that Shanny turned down Ralph's offer last year. Redskins are a much more stable organization than the Bills, who hang on Ralph's every heartbeat. No high quality talent is coming to the Bills when either Ralph is still the owner or comparable $$ are available elsewhere. just the way it is. lovable losers, the bills. at least Snyder is trying to compete for the title. Ralph is just happy to have a franchise.
  21. Just a well run organization from the owner on down. Plus they hit the jackpot with Brady. Plus they got Belechick when no one else wanted him. Pioli was terrific as GM. Plus they have awesome scouts who have been with the team forever. Constrast that with the Bills, who have great fan support but are strictly minor league in every other respect and have an absentee owner. Bob Kraft is head and shoulders over Ralph Wilson. He changed it all. The Bills need a local owner like Kraft. And an economy that can support a first rate organization and facilities. Neither one does or can exist in my opinion. Buffalo is Akron. Boston is major league. Buffalo is strictly minor league. Just the way it is. The Kelly era was a one time flash in the pan. Great, but really cannot be replicated in today's big money, big facilities, rock star NFL. Buffalo is kind of a homey, clubby franchise, which is fine. The good teams are well run by professionals and have the money to invest in their franchises. The homey, clubby franchises get blasted more times than not by the pros. Just the way it is. Be happy there is even a NFL franchise in a lovable to be sure but minor league place like Buffalo.
  22. why are u even entertaining this garbage ... end this string.
  23. We'll see. Too early to tell on Spiller. Too bad we lost our excellent RB coach when Jauron was thrown out. We lost some terrific coaches last year who are doing great things this year. Jauron was smart enough to get good coaches. But when the head man is fired, everyone goes with him.
  24. I don't want "buffalo guys". This isn't the local rugby club. This is the NFL. I want guys who can play at the NFL level.
  25. Vikes defense is very very good. Don't forget that please. Pro Bowlers all over the field.
