The pistol 4 yard drop and ball out quickly, plus all the screens and basically the playcalling of Chan is making this offense what it is.. give it up for Chan, the guy is calling the right play for the situation almost all the time...

Almost all analyst's are picking the Bills this week?

WE are pretty banged up , no one is paying attention to that.. the media are just realizing their is still a franchise in WNY so their predictions will be off for a while... -
Gone have to start taking shots down field

No one to stretch the field right now.. -
Stupid move. Jones back in 3 games.. Chan will game plan and package his way around this until the guys get back . It is what he does.
-
NO. Chan has enough weapons to scheme around the problems until Jones is back. This is not a permanent problems. Jones will miss probably 3, max 4 games (given the bye week). If you can steal Lloyd, sure, but that will not be an option. Plus he is a cancer. If you can get him for the 4th you got for Evans, fine, but that is it, which means it won't happen.

You guys are so far ahead of yourselves ... we have played exactly one division game this year. The real season starts on Nov 6 vs the Jets. I am a billiever like everyone now, but All the Division and conference games start in November. Then we see who the contenders and pretenders are. No playoffs, no more than a couple pro bowlers and bills are forgotten, playoffs, 4 or 5 and comparisons to KC last year, etc abound . The lockout forced the league to put all the division games in the second half of the season, just in case lots of early games were lost to the lockout. So the Division and playoffs and all personal awards will be won completely in the second half of the season. We are only 1-1 in the conference and 1-0 in the division. Not much has happened yet from a post season standpoint. Lose a couple division games in November and everything changes. Games against NFC East teams won't mean so much then... just saying. Let's enjoy. Hey I am coming up for my first game in 3 years in November. But lets understand how this league is set up. Jets away and Pats away will be huge games. San Diego away will be huge game. Barely beating teams after getting 5 turnovers is not giving me huge comfort right now.. but i'll take the wins! we will need them later..

Anyone else notice CJ Spiller...

with all the WRs out, you'd better hope he emulates Wes Welker from the slot for the next 4 or 5 weeks . -
The Bills' method of winning is unsustainable.
8-8 Forever? replied to Orton's Arm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Looks like that will happen. Bills miss out on the big QB draft year. Figures. I like Fitz, don't get me wrong. But if Gailey had Luck, really unbelievable success would follow IMO. -
Bills @ Giants: National Game on CBS
8-8 Forever? replied to Dorkington's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, this is about when the 2008 4-1 team started to fall apart. An embarrassing collapse on the road in Miami in front of a big audience... I would worry about the jinx. With Easley, Parrish and now Jones out, and with Stevie at maybe 80%, who knows what the offense will do... Bills on National TV has meant disaster for many years... -
Just got back from a week in Toronto on business. Great city, wow. Sure has changed from 80's. The game day experience would have to involve the bars, but their are many excellent ones right around the stadium.. I should know, I went to all of them. It is more expensive than drinking out of a sixpack from your trunk, but these places are way better than most. Can't imagine they charge top prices at 11 in themorning. I would go to a game there.

If I'm a Pats fan, how does my team lose to a pick - 6 off of someone's head? How does end zone pass interference get called on a ball so badly thrown , it is intercepted 10 yards up the field?? two TDs that never should have been... and I lose to a Bills team I walked all over offensively all day? think about it. the breaks go both ways... takes 8-9 games to see it all even out to determine if your team is lucky or good... we do not know yet..

When to re-sign Fitz, Stevie, Freddie?
8-8 Forever? replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta sign Fitz. I believe the others are replaceable. Spiller scores on the Freddo pass/catch/run at end of Pats game. No one catches him. Fred gets caught. Spiller runs away from people. Stevie is a very good player, not a great one. Chan/Fitz are making this happen, along with the O Line. -
Plus the "cirlce the wagons" reference is to Buffalo Bill Cody, the source of the team's name in the first place. His wild west show (where he was the star as the faster rider, best shooter, etc) had all the wagons and indian fights and the whole bit.. so Berman's reference is much deeper than just wagons... the teams namesake is a big part of it too... look it up. it was the Circ de Soliel of the 1800's

Do we blow out the Bengals like we did the Chiefs?
8-8 Forever? replied to blakesbills16's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From Scrimmage we have the game. Turnovers and injuries in game can change everything. this is the NFL. all teams have talent. If we fumble away the opening kickoff like KC did and Fitz throws a pick 6 off of Dahani Jones' head, things can change in a hurry. Let's not make this Andy Dalton's coming out party. We've done it for so many others, from, Bert Jones to Ahmad Bradshaw, it can happen. Keep your powder dry until the second half of the season. Cockiness will get us no where at this point. Let's just sit back, grab the T.O. popcorn and enjoy the show for a while... shall we? -
All, need some help. Want to take my son to the Philly game. What is best ticket "acquisition" strategy for game day? Not sure I care when I get in the stadium, within reason.

What's the Difference between 2008 and 2011?
8-8 Forever? replied to Sniper's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gailey has put points on the board everywhere he's been. This should come as no surprise to anyone. He knows how to move the ball in the NFL. You are seeing the true Pistol offense. 4 yard shotgun, quicker snap, QB eyes downfield much faster than the 7 yard snap. Too bad Parrish is gone or you'd have seen some real fireworks with the inside handoff reverses, etc. as the d line starts to defend the short pass by backing up. This is a college offense. Watch WAC football as you see all this stuff. It works IF you have a quick thinking fearless QB. and we have one. -

The Bills got half a seasons worth of breaks Sunday. INT TD off Dareus' helmet? Are you kidding? You won't see that the rest of your life. Fitz drive killer stupid INT pass so badly thrown PI is called 10 yards behind the ball- in the end zone to boot. Come on. Won't see that the rest of the year in the end zone. anywhere. There's two TDs right there that never should have happened. Freddy amazingly down at the 1 so the Bills can run the clock out. I have never, ever seen that before that way. Unbelievable. I'll take it all day, but still unbelievably fortunate. I can't stand them, but Brady, Welker and Gronk. carved the Bills up. From Scrimmage the Pats won. Bills win the turnover / breaks battle hands down and barely squeak it out. One of these weeks, the breaks/injury/turnover battle is going to go the other way and we will get pounded. Just like it did week 5 in Arizona in 2008. CAn we just sit back, let 8 games play out and see where we are then? Please? -

Fitz hasn't been knocked out yet? That's the difference for me. That 08 team was pretty good until the injuries hit and TE got blasted by Adrian Wilson. We all had TE in the pro bowl. -
This is why you are practice squad, my young padawan learner
-
wow, you can't make this up.

Peter King has Pats ranked higher than Bills
8-8 Forever? replied to Matty Shu's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) TD INT off Dareus' head 2) End Zone pass interference followed by huge TD off a should have been Fitz INT drive-killer that was such a bad pass no one had a shot at it 3) Fred called down at 1 yd line keeping brady from scoring on a last drive. 4) Ocho drops a sure score. You can't make this stuff up. Great win, but come on, Pats were better from the line of scrimmage , it was a turnover, fluke actofGod win. We'll take it all day, but be careful how big your head gets. This is exactly what happened in 2008, and we all know how that turned out. -
A Few Thoughts About The Game
8-8 Forever? replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When receivers are wide open when catching TD passes almost every time, thats coaching and route planning and scheming. That's Gailey. Almost every red zone TD this year has been to a wide open player. -
Top 3 teams I'm sick of hearing about
8-8 Forever? replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, you'll get to see then both (Eggles and Cowgirls) up close and personal in the next few weeks and they can settle it on the field... -
And a INT TD off of a guys helmet. Give me a break. I have never seen a team get than many good breaks and bounces in one game. But I'll take it. They'll need it later in the season when guys start getting hurt and losses start coming.
