  1. yep. franchise him for a year and see how/if Easley develops and if Parrish and Jones turn out better.. Easley, Parrish and Jones and complete unknowns under contract right now. They think they are good at WR , if they are, then franchise Stevie and then sign him based on how the year goes. He is an idiot, but the NFL is not a boys choir.
  2. Good Post. Whaley will need to get some street cred fast, as a new owner will start over with an entirely new organization. So maybe we see some fast action.
  3. Then a bunch of guys will go on IR next year and we'll go 6 - 10 again.
  4. We need to bring back all the healthy bodies we possible can. Beggars can't be choosers at this point. Merriman and Parrish are two of the talented guys on this team at positions they need to have talent at. All this talk of cutting everyone and starting over is insane. Injuries wrecked this team again this year. W e don't have the talent of other teams either, but if they'd been as healthy as some of the other teams in the playoffs they would have a better record than they have now.
  5. has it ever occurred to Bills fans that most players do not want to be with this franchise? They're drafted, the play out their 1st contract and get the H..ll out. minor league developmental team for the rest of the league. If I was a nfl rock star I would not want to be in WNY either...
  6. They need to lose out and take either RGIII or Matt Barkley. I bet Barkley won't sign with the Bills. Write it down. From USC to WNY .. too big a transition. RGIII probably mature enough to do it
  7. If the new owner of the Bills is presented with a new stadium by some other city/county, it will move. If not , it will stay. The NFL requirement to have a big stadium makes it harder to move the team.
  8. spiller will be fine. Jackson is the man and losing him pretty much killed the season. Now we have two guys who can play. Good setup for next year. Fred will now have to sign a reasonable contract and now we will have two good running backs. so check that one off the list. Stevie as well, with Easley, Parrish and Jones coming back, so check that one off the list. Things are coming together. Should have a good O Line next year with a year of OTAs, etc. Draft some more defense and away we go
  9. Looks very much to me like the Bills will get a shot at Barkley or RGIII . the issue is whether you do it or not.
  10. Too many injuries to the few talented players they have. Fred Jackson, Kyle Williams and Eric Wood and Shawne Merriman are very arguably the only Pro Bowl calibre players on this team. All four wiped out by mid season or so. Can't recover from that plus starting WRs and Tight Ends going down . Plus best corner has been out all year. Just too tough to recover from after both Easley and Parrish don't even start the season. Plus Lindell goes down. Just too much. They weren't that good early in the season and aren't as bad as they look now. They will be good next year. Full camp , full OTAs ,,, full roster hopefully, and away we go. All the teams that had serious injury problems are suffering, other than Houston, who also got whacked today. Need another quality draft like this years.
  11. 2010 draft guys will be fine. 3rd years a charm
  12. I like this post. Alex Smith, Andy Dalton, Cam Newton and Tebow appear to be doing ok because they all have good to great defenses and running games covering up their rookie mistakes. The Bills have the running game and just need the defense. Maybe you draft a QB in Rd 2 this year and start the process.
  13. I like Fitz, but he won't get you to the promised land. Like any of us thought they'd get there at all.
  14. Good player. A rookie with no OTAs, no camp and then hurt for half the season, then they throw him in.... with a full offseason and camp, he will be terrific. you'll see. gosh , Bills fans are knee jerk.. man..
  15. Might as well. have to spend to the cap Buddy. don't get cheap on us now. however Fred is on the wrong side of 30 and will want $10+ per year. so will Stevie. how do you feel about that, if it means you then cannot sign free agents?
  16. Will need to get to pick no 8 to get Barkley or RGIII b/c Redskin and phins will take them
  17. Stevie will wait. Why not? if the redskins or niners offer him what the Bills offer, he leaves. that's an easy choice. just the way it goes. he will be gone for the same money at a higher profile franchise. typical bills stuff..has happened a million times before Stevie will wait. 18. yes they are. the guy is a knucklehead.
  19. who cares? the season is over. time to check on the medical status of those on our roster who can actually play at an NFL level...
  20. Injuries are what lose a season and turnovers are what lose you individual games. Minimize both turnovers and injuries and you will be competitive all year, don't care what team you are. The Bills are always injured. Not sure why. Merriman, if healthy , is that guy. He was a force on half a leg this year.
  21. Unless the franchise is the Bills, then money doesn't even work.
  22. The Buffalo Bills are not the Green Bay Packers. Nuf said.
  23. If you are waiting for the do nothings of WNY politics to creatively do something you will be waiting a long time. Most people from my generation (in their 50's now) with brains and quicks left WNY a long time ago. My guess is those that are left certainly will have nothing to do with the sinkhole of public life there.
