Coming from No Cal, he'll take one look at WNY in February on that lovely, just lovely drive down the Kensington Expressway from the airport, and say " tennessee's a lot nicer this time of year" and that will be that... That is EXACTLY what will happen. Bills offer to pay up because its a crappy place to be, then you take that number to the next team in sunny-town. Good strategy. The Bills had better draft well, as those players are trapped in the B Lo for 4 or 5 years.

Sporting News takes a stab at offseason game plan

Coples was pretty bad in the Senior Bowl against top competition. If the decision was based solely on that game, you wouldn't go near him. -
The Giants SB Win Proves...

We decided to win a few games this year and missed out on Andrew Luck, the best "top QB" prospect to come along in 15 years. Sucks to be a Bills fan. This team can't win for losing. Go draft Willis McGahee... -
I think people have gotten tired of the Bills even more quickly this offseason. I don't see the draft putting much starch into people either. There was a lot more chatter last year at this time. Interesting. Just not very much to talk about ... a team full of frankly, uninteresting players coming off a lousy season . At least last year, they finished strong and people were getting fired up for the draft. This year feels different, you pretty much lose out the entire second half of the season getting crushed by everyone but still draft too low to have any big things to look forward to . Not a good spot to be in. I think some one should start a thread on strange or wild things that happened at tailgate parties this year. Maybe that will brighten peoples days.

BUFFALO IS GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL
8-8 Forever? replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As long as the Patriots are in the division , it is not happening. Road wild card game is the best they can do. Division winners get the home field, and the Bills won't win the AFC East for a long time to come. Can't get to the SB taking that path. Were the Steelers the first to do it a couple years ago? -
yeah, that guys a genius... wish Id a thought of that..

Godell may just save the Bills afterall...

If the high bidder wants to pay all the costs the move the team (new stadium, etc), the team will move. As long as I play by the leagues rules regarding stadium size, etc. if I pay $800 million for something, I will do what I damn well please with it. -
You mean "over" Buffalo

Brady just slammed the Buffalo area

He's right. People wonder why free agents won't come to the Bills until they understand that visiting teams at least historically have staying in the Hyatt on Main St.-- the first thing they see coming from the airport is the kensington expressway (a Pit), then they get off and make their way up boarded up Main St. with some dingy old streetcar rattling up the road, get out of the bus and go in the hotel and look out their window and see basically a wasteland of urban decay. This is all visiting teams players see. The bus and the Main St. area around the Hyatt. Not a good impression. Definitely not the nicest place in the world. The truth is the truth. -
Chris Brown SPECULATES Bills in play for V Jackson

2-3 million is not a gamblein the NFL. It is table stakes, heck the league minimum isn't much lower than that -
Sr. Bowl talk, how does it affect the Bills draft?

Coples got completely crushed in the qtr and 1/2 of the Sr bowl i saw. Looked bad. -
Fitz: Team wasn't ready to be successful
8-8 Forever? replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. I think they will get there. Give me a Bills team next year that has as few injuries as the 49ers had this year and I see 10 wins. Easy. Pile the injuries to key guys up, and they are the Rams and their coach gets fired so not getting a bunch of backups to play like starters and we start this all over again. This team/Coach is the last best chance for the Bills prior to Ralph's demise. Once he is gone, all bets are off. Who knows what happens then, -
He should walk away. He has a family and one more ding to that neck and who knows...

Pats fans not buying SB tickets
8-8 Forever? replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Super Bowls are probably one and done bucket list type events. Most Pats fans who want to do that have already done it, got the T shirt, drank the beer, hit the pool and came home. Can't even hit the pool this year. SB in Indianapolis? Can the Ralph be far behind? Yikes. What a bore. Indianapolis? -
The Bills are a good football team

Agree. If this team is as healthy as the 49ers were this year, they will be very dangerous next year. Get your popcorn ready. -
Joe Philbin is the new Fins Head Coach
8-8 Forever? replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We are doomed. As soon as the Jets reload (probably before next year) the Jets , Pats AND Phins will all be top ten teams and we will get swept every year. Sucks to be a bills fan. -
Makes sense, but why would you ever do it? What happens in the year AFTER the carryover year, when your cap number falls by whatever your carryover amount was? You guessed it, you are cutting half the team to get under the number. It is a very short term opportunity if you were under the cap in a particular year. Sort of a Dan Snyder esque "all or nothing strategy" where you go for the huge payroll for one year only to have to cut half the team the next year to get under your true cap number. Insane. No owner is going to do that.
-
All else being equal, we get none of these guys. They are all starters, big money and can choose what team they play on. The Bills and WNY could not possibly be at the top of any of these rock star's list. Not a chance. We throw $$ at them, the $$ gets matched and its game over.

you would have to take him at 10 as if he is that good, he won't make it to 42.

Could We Be Closer To History Than We Think ??

We are closer to setting the record for most non playoff seasons in a row. -
In rd 1 people draft BPA, RGIII is BPA at 3. no way he gets past Miami worst case. We lose to Miami twice and they get RGIII. That' s the Bills on draft day. Sucks to be a Bills fan.
-
After what I say last night in Pats vs Denver, plus NE having 2 first round drafts picks again this year, I say the Bills will never again win the AFC East while they are still playing at the Ralph. The Pats are set up to be absolutely dominant for the next 5 years.
-
After what I saw last night, its gonna be a long time before the Bills with the AFC East again

Should the Bills make a play for QB Flynn?

So we are paying two guys 10m per year? Man , not a lot of thinking on this thread.
