One of 'em will get hurt and we'll never know...

So am I . that guy can play if he is healthy. He will be a revelation this year.

Completely agree. If Mario ends up taking the same money somewhere else, that will say it all.

Why We're Heading In The Right Direction

Not if we are playing Manning/Brady/Jets six times per year. That's 1-5 best case for the next couple years. Can't make the playoffs if you have to run the table outside your division. Just saying. -
Fred will throw up on that crappy offer. 10M guaranteed? That is laughable. He won't sign for less than 20M guaranteed. They'll end up at 17.5M guaranteed over 3 years. If that's too rich for you then say goodbye to Fred.

Now Greg Williams is a cheater?

Yep, plus the money involved is total chump change. It's less than a side bet, by NFL money standards. Just a bet against something they do anyway.. like an office super bowl pool. The money is meaningless. Try to put the guy out of the game. As long as it's within the rules, when was that not part of the approach to hitting? It's as old as the game itself. This is professional football, not the NBA, not baseball. These are not nice people, James Harrison, et al. TV has removed the fan too much from the actual violence of the game. This game is nasty... get close to the field some time -- these guys are really big and really fast and hit incredibly hard ... tremendously violent game. Get real people. This game will be touch football when the liberals get through with it. -
Yes. Think James Lofton, but with character issues.

Could we just stop this. The Buffalo Bills will never ever be able to sign a player of Drew Brees calibre. Never. Not even worth discussing.

We need guys that have already "learned the game"

Boy, the Colts are in deep do-doo in 2012

Luck is the best QB prospect since Manning himself. Colts hit the jackpot. If there was ever a year to stink it up in the NFL, 2011 was it. Sucks to be a Bills fan. Just good enough to miss out on the best draft picks every year but bad enough not to ever accomplish anything. "8 - 8 forever" . -
Assuming Stevie re signs and Easley and Parrish and Jones (all speed guys, BTW) are 100%, what has changed from last year when Chan/Nix said we were loaded enough at WR tp trade Evans away? I think injuries have an "out of sight, out of mind" effect on the average fan. No WR early in the draft please. We have plenty of them. Lets keep them on the field. That is the problem.

If you can upgrade with Routt or someone like that, you cut Florence. If you can't you keep him. Simple attempt to upgrade the roster. If you cut him now, your hand is forced and you pay up for someone else

Great article by Tim Graham in B News

The Rams, Chargers and Raiders do not have owners on death's door who have said directly that the team will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Period, end of story. So don't compare the Bills to those franchises. In theory, if Ralph passed tomorrow, the Bills could be on the auction block by the end of the year. Assuming Ralph is good for his word, I cannot imagine making a once in a lifetime $800million (that's in millions) investment in an NFL franchise (or any other entity for that matter) and trying to make it work financially in WNY. The numbers could not possibly come close to working relative to an $800m investment. Ralph makes it work because he spent $25,000 for the team. Once Ralph is gone, the team is gone, barring some gratuitous miracle from a gracious donor or donors willing to simply lose money hand over fist (let's hope they are out there) . -
Once FA hits and he sees other places, he is as good as gone. They should have signed him 6 months ago.

Test the market. The Bills will always be there as no one wants to go there for what they pay. If the market is poor, then and only then sign with the Bills. This is easy if you are SJs agent. The only risk is the Bills sign someone else in the meantime and you are stuck with a deal lower than what the Bills offered plus you have to move to another team, another scheme etc. But that is not a big deal, after all , its all about the money and getting a ring, neither of which he is getting from the Bills.

Screw Hines, Randy Moss Wants Back In

Randy Moss coming to the Bills? No chance. He's also pretty much washed up, right? -
W-L results in the NFL have everything to do with injuries and to a lesser degree depth of roster. Look hard at the guys drafting top 10 this year. Pretty much all crushed by injuries to absolutely key players for extended periods, with little depth behind them. Browns - decimated, Rams - decimated, Bills - decimated, Chiefs - decimated . Injuries will turn a promising season into 4-5 game losing streaks and visions of playoffs into garbage overnight. Turnovers lose individual games but extensive injury lists lose seasons. Although there are exceptions for teams that are deep (Packers) this has largely been proven to be largely a fact . The Giants got to the Super Bowl only because they got completely healthy at the end of the season and ran the table with a full roster.

Bills Interested in Vincent Jackson

Lets see, I can blow whats left of my career in buffalo, f-ing ny and have some ivy league throwing at me, or I can go play with hall of famers on the best run team in the league who just played in the SB. What will I do , what will I do? -
As long as they don't overpay. Fred is coming to the end of his career. He probably has a couple of productive years left, then he is really on the wrong side of 30. Love the guy, but I don't know of any top 10 34 yr old running backs in the NFL. Injuries eat them up once past 30. they slow down, get hit a lot more, get hurt a lot more, and that is that. sucks, but that is reality.
