  1. Assuming active rosters stay about where they are now, week 1 Bills/Jets will be the place to be. We win that game, all kinds of action starts in the media. But I will keep my mouth shut until they start winning. All this is a bunch a hooha if Jets win week 1.
  2. Not sure someone with no ties to WNY would even go that far. Just move em to LA and get on with it. But politically, it might make sense for him to say at least he tried. Bills in WNY are probably on borrowed time right now. Maybe Ralph will live to 100. Tough old bird. Might just make it.
  3. I lost all respect for him after he choked in that bills game a few years ago. Chicken. So fearful of getting hit. He is done. Good career. Got the most out of what he had. Just let it go and get on with life.
  4. easley is a beast. crazy combo of speed and size. get your popcorn ready
  5. Agreed. He will rotate with Anderson and Merriman will rotate with Mario and that will be that. If Troup and Kyle make it all the way back by September, this whole DL group could be exceptional in Wanny's 4 man front. Get your popcorn folks!!
  6. Unless Ralph is lying, his will dictates in no uncertain terms that the team is to be auctioned to the highest bidder. Period. So $$ will decide this in the end. And whoever wins the bidding can do whatever he or she wants with the franchise. It is that simple. It is good that Rogers is test marketing the Bills in Toronto. By the time Ralph is gone, there will be good info on how the Bills brand plays in Toronto. One thing (and maybe the only thing) in favor of the Bills staying in WNY would be the existence of a refurbished stadium with a long term non cancelable lease tying the Bills to it. I don't think fan base matters nearly as much as the cut of the TV revenue pie and luxury box sales. Bills ticket prices are the lowest in the league, that is not in favor of the team staying at the Ralph. NFL is a TV game and the money is in the TV deal. Plus the other owners would certainly rather have a franchise in L.A. than in WNY (higher ticket prices, the team will probably be awesome in a couple years so the boxes will sell out at 5x what they don't sell for at the Ralph). I think its 50/50 the Bills stay after Ralph is gone. Rogers will make a play for them for Toronto, someone will try for L.A.. Those are two of the continents biggest TV markets. Ralph will do everything he can while alive to tie them to the Ralph via the lease. Not sure how it will all shake out.
  7. Can we end this thread? Bills fans are such downers. Get happy people. The team is back. Forget the past. There is only the future.
  8. 75% of NFL players can't even do that math.
  9. If no more than 2 IR lost for the season to starters, I say 10 - 6. if 4 or more IR lost for the season to starters, 8 -8 . Turnovers lose games. A rash of IR cases loses seasons.
  10. He and the league are rightly scared shitless that permanently messed up players and ex players will ultimately file a massive class action lawsuit against the league for negligence in protecting them while they were in the league. This is a big financial deal for the league and I bet Goodell got the Players Association to agree with todays harsh punishments.
  11. If Fred goes for $6m / year for 3 years, you do that deal. His agent won't let him take it though, as this will be his last "big" contract. I expect him to be franchised at $8-9m for next year and say goodbye the year after. In this era of big time player agents, etc, that is just the way I think this is going to go. Don't like it, but you don't pay people for past performance, you pay them in the NFL for future performance. You are already paying them for past/present performance. No gold watches in the NFL.
  12. Agreed. Chan is a balanced attack guy. When you fall behind you throw, not run. The other team will run it when up 14 points. If you run as well, the game is over very quickly and you run out of possessions.
  13. When you are cutting out B&W newspaper pictures of Dan Darragh and Max Anderson and pasting them in one of those marble scrapbooks at 12 years old, doesn't matter where you live or where the team is or what it's called, you will always be a fan of this franchise. Freezing your ass off at Rich Stadium at 22 watching Walter Payton put the dagger in . Wow, its all coming back... Just is what it is. Go Bills
  14. Looks like they really wanted WR in round 3, apparently along with everyone else, saw their targeted guys getting picked and a run on receivers starting and decided to make sure they got at least one of the guys they liked. Good move. I liked our WRs already, so this is just icing on the cake. Chan can make a college dropout look good at WR.
  15. Completely Agree. Easley at least as good as anyone we could draft from here on out. Just because he hasn't been on the field yet is irrelevant. Pass on WR. Easley will be our #2 this year. Bet on it.
  16. I agree. By far, the best team on paper since 2002-3 when we had Bledsoe and LeBeau had the zone blitz defense..-- now that was fun to watch..
  17. The guy made what, $20m- 30m ?? Set for life in his twenties. What a shame. Geez.
  18. Don't do it. The place is completely out of control during the game. There is no explanation possible. Regrettably, the inmates have taken over the asylum at the Ralph. I'm coming up for a game this year, but probably will just go alone, because I know what to expect. The NFL at the Ralph is just a big 30-something toilet of hammeredness. I don't really care, because having grown up there I know that IS southern ontario/WNY "culture". Conversely, my understanding is Carolina Panthers games are like little girl cocktail parties... so.. choose your poison I guess.
  19. i think they should kick off from the 20. Make the kickoff a real play every time.
  20. We get draft picks for this, correct? Anyone know the formula for this? Big Contract, if he turns out to be a starter, I think we get a pretty good pick..
  21. My biggest fear is it costs me a ton to get 2 inside the twenties in the lower bowl for a game in September that I can bring my son down from college to see. THAT is my biggest fear. Go bills.
  22. If this team can stay reasonably healthy (plenty of missed games, but No killer IR listings), you really have to like them in 2012. Get your popcorn ready. Assuming no killer IR listings, this probably is the turnaround year. Get your tickets.
