The Good News is Nix/Gailey are doing it right. Looks like 3 more starters from this years draft. The draft is the way for this franchise as top FAs are not coming without way overpaying (and we are one and done on that) and trading multiple draft choices for, say, one good player is probably a bad way to add talent. The Bad News is as soon as Nix/Gailey have fixed it, definately Ralph and likely the team will be gone. Bills grill on Kensington? Wow, that's a blast from the past....
-
Doesn't really matter. Chan will be the last head coach Ralph pays IMO. Ralph's gonna pass pretty soon and the whole lot of them will be gone regardless of how the team does. No one pays $700m for something and not put their own people in. People need to appreciate what little we have with the Bills. Celebrate the good times/games when they come. It's probably not going to last much longer, at least not in WNY.

No. He got paid because that was the only way to get him here. If other teams matched the Bills,he doesn't come here, just like all top FAs and coaches. Players \coaches will come for huge paydays or to try and keep their careers going a few more years. -
Let's say the Bills beat the Niners

That is what Fans do, they overreact, up or down. So all good. Fandom is intact. If we win in S.F. everyone will be putting Fitz in the Pro Bowl. I love fans (stands for fanatic) .. they are what they are. -
None of those guys are coming to a franchise that is one stopped heartbeat from changing everything from ownership down to the waterboy. Would you take a job that you will lose the instant the guy running the company dies and that guy is 90-something...??? When 4 or 5 other similar jobs are available in places your wife, free agents and draft choices actually want to be long term?? We are stuck with Chix so get used to it. They are doing a good job. Wanny wouldn't have come anywhere near the B Lo unless as a favor to Chan. That is how bad it is . Until long term ownership is in place, dream on re: getting top top coaching/FO talent. Think about it people . This franchise is very unstable right now. No top guy is coming to it when alternatives exist. Period. I like what Chix are doing. They are almost competitive with the top teams. Give em a chance you dopes.

Gosh Bills fans are not too smart. This crap is painful to read.

Bills are 2-2 ..... now what?
8-8 Forever? replied to FanofFredJackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What i meant by parity is out of the 16 games each Sunday, i would say 12 of them either team could win straight up, and for sure win if they win the plus minus takeaway battle. -

Other than a half a dozen teams that have had perfect storm combinations of management/coaching/QBs , I'd say the NFL has pretty much had parity, where turnovers and injuries determine games and seasons. The Pats are of course one those 6 or 7 teams in the past 10 years. You can be +3 in turnovers to them and still struggle to win, but most times you will. The Pats have better management/coaching and therefore players than most teams. They are a model for how you do it. Buffalo is working the process but it takes time. The Pats were terrible in the 90's, but Kraft/Belechick lucked into Brady and the rest is history. -

The early pick on the deep ball was all Fitz. The other one when the game was close was a tipped ball, that doesn't count any more than Brady's pick 6 off Dareus' head last year. When your down by 21 in the fourth quarter and throwing it all over the lot, picks during that garbage time don't matter. His 3 early TD throws and the bomb to Fred were big league throws. I know most Bills fans want the second coming of Jimbo, but Fitz is not the problem. Good post. The fumbles killed two opportunities to build or change momentum in a huge way. Is Fitz a top 10 QB? No. Is he the problem with the Bills yesterday? No again. He threw one bad ball (the long ball pick to Graham) when the game was competitive. The RBs made the turnovers that first changed the game (CJ) and then sealed it (Fred) for the Pats. Fred did the same thing vs. Jets at home last year. Stop it with the Throw Fitz under the bus garbage. Below average arm? He's not top 10, but his arm is average at worst. and he finds the end zone with it. Inside the 40, he may be the best passer in the league. Inside the red zone, he is. Welcome to the NFL where parity rules. Turnovers decide games, not players and schemes. Get em, you win, give em, you lose. -
Is it time yet to look forward to the Draft?

NO. Stop whining. We are 2-2. Let it go. Just hope no serious, long term injuries came out of the game. Great great coach not coming to a franchise whose ownership is one heartbeat away from completely changing. We are OK, just hang in there. It is a long season and as long as we stay healthy I like our chances to win more than we lose over a long season. The FO moves at WR, K and P are really good. The O Line is solid. Two stub RBs once they heal up. A lot to like about this team. -

Ah, more wishful thinking. Bills fans... Hoping, hoping hoping. I like our stability at QB. He threw one bad ball. Let it go. The CJ and Fred fumbles killed us. -
turnover game. simple as that. the CJ and Fred fumbles killed us. CJ scores and you're up 14 and fired up into halftime. down 7 and driving, Fred fumbles and your down 14 and the game is over. turnovers lose games. they were handing us the game to take over with fumbles and missed FGs and we just turnover'ed it right back to them. turnovers decide games in today's NFL. get them when it really matters or give them when it really matters and you can pretty much tell which team will have the deciding advantage. especially when playing really well prepared teams like the Pats. this is easy. Byrd made a great effort to get those turnovers, but CJ, Fred and Fitz lost this game by giving them back.

Players don't look at it that way. Players have a lot shorter memories than fans. Players have exactly 24 hours to look at the last game, then its on to the next. I am concerned about the no-blitz defense. 4 man rush doesn't get it done in this league any more.

Any more clarity needed on where the issues are?
8-8 Forever? replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is all a bunch of crap. Assuming Glenn and Urbik are only out a game or two, we will be fine. CJ and Fred's fumbles were killers. Especially Fred's.. he did the same thing in the Jets home game last year. Just killed the team. We're down by 7 finally driving the ball and Fred puts it on the ground. That was a killer. Hand the Pats 4-5 turnovers when the game is still competitive and you will lose every time. Wanny had to choose whether to blitz Brady or not. I like the choice not to blitz.. Brady will for sure shred a blitzing defense,,, not sure he can shred a four man rush.. so they ran at it. .. Pats played it well.. Brady is crazy good. We are not great at LB and Pats ran it until they got close and then Gronk in a mismatch. -

As long as we are healthy we can do some damage. Glenn and Urbik injuries could be killers. Hope there are like the Fred and CJ injuries. They had a good plan today. Needed to get a lot more pressure up front and not turn it over, but they failed on both counts. 6 turnovers and you lose every time to any team in the NFL. As long as we get guys healthy towards mid season, that is probably what we are hoping for. YEs. -
Glenn & Urbik out a"while"
8-8 Forever? replied to marauderswr80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly right. This team is good enough to beat the bottom 20 teams but not the top 10-12 teams. That's part of the rebuilding process. The next two weeks will be difficult. Winning one of the two would be extraordinary, 3 and 3 after 6 games would be awesome -

A very decent route and catch Sunday, when the game was scoreless. Very very decent double move and toe touch on the sidelines. -
Yes , well played. Leave the guy alone.
