could not agree more. with 3/5 of his O line gone, even Big Ben could not beat the Titans the other night. With all the s__t defenses throw at offenses these days, the first thing I want to know when handicapping an upcoming game between ANY two teams is how injured is their O Line, because when they go down, defenses either feed on the offense or the game plan is cut in half because of lack of confidence is a patchwork line.

Bunch of garbage. Short throws were there all day. Fitz missed those as well. So much for focussing on stopping the deep ball. ESPN blows the analysis again.
-
Say we go 4-3...does that stop a QB change?

+1. Stop it with the Fitz bashing please. Oh your man crushes on the Bradys and Flaccos of the world make me ill. Or lets go get Jeff George -- he throws a beeyouteeful ball. Fitz is fine for now. There is no alternative. Lets get healthy on the O Line and keep running it with CJ and Fred. And get after every single offense that has weakness in their O Line, which is just about every team . He was pressing big time. He knows how big that game was. We won it. Let it go. He will be better Sunday. -
Neither do I. We just won the game and everyone finds the Negative. Buffalo people can find the raincloud on a sunny day like no people I've ever seen.
-
Yes Yes Yes. He was missing wide open 10 -15 yard throws. Give me those. He will fix that I believe. Those are throws he can make. I have to believe he was pressing like crazy yesterday. Fred putting the ball on the ground on the f ing first play did not help. Having a rookie #2 WR making a drop on a key play is not helping either.

18 for 32, 153 yards. TJackson could do that.

You mean like Drew Brees' "effortless" throwing motion? We won the game. Who gives a crap if Fitz looks like Jeff George throwing the ball. Or Akili Smith. Or Drew Henson. Or JaMarcus Russell. Let's focus on what matters in the NFL. Wins. -

A W is a W. In the NFL, with all the injuries and turnovers and crazy week to week changes, how you win is not as important as whether you DO win. And the Bills are going to get healthier over the next 2-3 weeks. No big IR injuries through 6 games. Maybe we have a full team for the 2nd half of the season. If so, we will be fine. They have enough talent to compete will all the bottom 22 teams. Not the top 10 , but I take this team for this season. Yeah, yeah, need a QB, got it, but that ain't happening this year, so assume Fitz works on his accuracy over the bye, etc. and we re-tool with a healthy roster for the 2nd half. Titans game will be big, as I do not think we are competitive (yet) with Texans and Pats on the road, so those are two "L"'s right after the bye. Need to hit the bye 4 and 3. Somehow. -
(W-L) Is a Team Statistic, Not a QB Statistic

Who do you expect to be the next owner of the Bills?

That's the kind of guy that would take on a $700m obligation to run a business in Buffalo. -
How's Aaron Maybin been doing?

His aunt works with me and said the male family members convinced him to come out early and take the money. Whiff. But he is wealthy. -
I never saw this coming regarding Dareus's play....
8-8 Forever? replied to Kipers Hair's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. He may be sideways for a while. -
yeah yeah yeah, and the Pats shredded the big bad Denver defense and the 49ers shredded the Jets big bad defense too. The Bills played arguably the best two teams in the league on consecutive weeks , so can we just let it go??? I watched them basically beat the crap out of a pretty good KC offense and go on the road to Cleveland ending the game on their 1 yard line .... so every team is not the pats and 49ers, who are both basically shredding every other team too. Can we just see if we can win the next two against teams as bad as we are , or at least just as beat up injury wise as we are , and go from there?? This is not a top 10 team yet, we just dont know how far down the "next 10" list they are,, the next two weeks will tell that story. Getting shredded for 6 quarters by the two best teams in the league is what it is. Let it go. Every week is a new week in the NFL.

This totally lame, but I TIVO away games and delete them if we lose. I watch home games live in full regalia unless the weather is good -- then TIVO those as well. Never saw a down of the Jets or SanFran games (!!) . As far as I am concerned based on what I've seen, we're 2 - 1 !! Matter of fact, we were undefeated last year, now that I think of it...Lame, but it keeps me sane. I've been at this a lot longer than most of you... Yay!! go bills! Right.. even with live games, I don't get on the TIVO until 2 or so, so as to avoid all the commercials and crazy 10 minute timeouts injuries, play reviews and all the other garbage that pretty much ruin live football.

this is probably closer. Now Kyle Williams and Dareus both have bad ankles. Man this team is always an ER trip. We need a 65 man roster. Too many guys get hurt on this team. Healthy, they can get it done. If everyone is injured, I just don't see how they compete. What, we have like 6 or 7 healthy lineman total now??

I think Fitz will save Chan's job this year...
8-8 Forever? replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Clearly protecting the pretty much raw rookie DBs Aaron Williams and Gilmore, plus Sheppard and Moats.... good idea. I think this will change as the season goes on. in 2nd half of season you'll see Wanny Leave em out on the island and bring more pressure. Takes time knuckleheads. -
He's on a two year deal. After next year, you will get your wish. Relax, need two RBs in this league. No one is trading for him. This is not fantasy football. Very very few player for player trades in the NFL anymore. Very very rare.

I'm excited to have Kelsay starting again!
8-8 Forever? replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Betcha he takes his job back and MW goes to the right side. Now that would be interesting. Kelsey much more stout vs the run and Kelsey's motor from the left side with his hand in the dirt is without question. I think MW is just about back ... I have a good feeling about this game. I really do. -
Marcellus Wiley talks Ralph
8-8 Forever? replied to CosmicBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought RJohnson was pretty f ing good in the Titans game. Didn't lose it because of him. If we win that game , we win it because of him. Ralph had it right actually. -
Yep. That is it for tix sales unless they win a few. Miami will prob sell out but 65k is still a pretty good crowd for a cold night game in mid november. What is more likely is the game sells out,.. is in TV and about 40,000 actually show up in 30 degree weather.

QB's we can make a play 4, Other than Draft
8-8 Forever? replied to NastyNateSoldiers's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with your logic is you pretty much have to trade 2 to 3 drafts away to move up from pick 10 to pick 2 in the draft... this years 1 and 2, next years 1 and 2, etc. that's what it takes. For a team that needs every pick it can get, especially with MW sucking up all the FA cap space, not sure we can do that. Got to go get the best FA we can and stick him in there. The Kevin Kolb approach. -

Love the post as if Fitz lays an egg this year, we won't get a shot at one of the best college guys and will need to bid up a FA. Vick, Romo.. both have years left in this league no doubt and are an upgrade over Fitz. Kaep obviously, that's the kid i wanted in the draft and the knuckleheads passed on him. Cousins, don't know, may find out more on Sunday.. beware the Rob Johnson phenomenon though... -
No one on IR yet, other than Nelson. All these guys will be back in 2-4 weeks. That is OK, that's kind of NFL standard.
