Answer is probably no. None of them have draft choice value unless someone had them high on their board when they were drafted. Why trade for them when they are just as likely to be cut.

Then Bust it is, at least for the next couple years......

EJ Manuel's first few hours as a Buffalo Bill
8-8 Forever? replied to The Poojer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i know this has been covered, but does marrone have a huge wad of chew in that mouth or what? yikes.. cover your trash can we he is around -
True he was drafted in the 1st, but in 20/20 hindsight, the guy had a 2nd round grade on him from every team looking QB . That is not a good fact. Just because he is drafted in the 1st doesn't mean crap if everyone needing QB but you passed on him for 15 picks.
-
Agreed. I hope he is a star, but it is hard to believe the Bills are finished drafting quarterbacks. He obviously had a 2nd round or later grade on him and QBs get that for a reason... they are not great candidates...

Jairus Byrd: Jason Peters Part II?
8-8 Forever? replied to Dawgg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes, because I am not sure the market for Byrd with be great, both with the cap predicted to be flat next year and many teams drafting safeties this year. This may be why he is holding out, he ideally wants to go NOW before all the rookie safeties show their wares, but as you say at least get out next year. If he wants big big money, not sure he is going to get it. If he just wants out, then he won't have to wait but one year in all likelihood. Good for him. He is doing the right thing as it will be years before (and if) this franchise is turned around. Anyone who signs a 4 or 5 year deal with the Bills is nuts as the team will be in new hands within that time frame and the whole coaching staff will get flushed again, leaving players in a total no mans land in terms of competing for the title.. On the other hand timing could be great for EJ, if he turns out to be great, he could be the next Kobe in L.A. Their are stranger scenarios..... -
Bills will lose lots and lots of games this year you are Ralph Wilson's favorite kind of fan, one that will look the other way and open the wallet

Jairus Byrd: Jason Peters Part II?
8-8 Forever? replied to Dawgg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. Byrd did his 4-5 year forced service with the crap franchise and now wants a big contract with a real NFL team, the Bills are in full restart mode and who wants to play on a totally rebuilding team during the prime of his career. In Buffalo. Um,,, no one. See: Andy Levitre. One thing working against him is the fact that this was a huge draft for safeties and many teams who were probably interested in Byrd are no longer interested after having drafted safeties this year. -
Win now? This team is in a full restart mode. Pay attention man. New coaches (most of them college coaches) , completely new playbooks , new players, schemes, the works. They blew up the whole thing. We are not winning more than 6 games this year even if superman is playing QB. This is what happens when you blow it up. You start all over again. Probably what they had to do, since Gailey and Wanny were so close, but when you blow it up you pay the consequences for a while. Dolphins are better, Pats are freakin great and we play the NFC South and the AFC North. We are screwed this year. 6 wins max, and one of them is probably in garbage time in December. Sorry, but when you blow it up, you have to face the consequences. There is no silver bullet in the NFL. It took Pete Carroll years to get Seattle turned around. expect the same here.

Lost in all of this...the horrible jersey collar is gone?
8-8 Forever? replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good . that thing was a piece of crap. no one will buy them. they are just ridiculous. -
who cares. both these guys are average. so now we have Lawson, Hughes, Moats and the rookie. We will just have to wait and see. In a word: Yawn.

Bills Fans React To Manuel Pick (LAMP)
8-8 Forever? replied to Mark Vader's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why not, the O Line is as good early on in the season as it will ever be before the injuries hit. This season will be like one very long preseason where the coaches install their system (not much time in the offseason to install due to new CBA practice limits) and all the players practice it. Firing Gailey and blowing up the coaches and team was fine, but the re start under a bunch of new college coaches and college QB will be very painful. -
What are you're expectations for this season?
8-8 Forever? replied to Bills Fan888's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Utter rebuilding year. New QB, probably a raw rookie, college coaches, completely new offense, limited practice time to learn it due to new CBA, probably no better on defense unless Dareus, Anderson and Mario all come to play, O LIne worse than last year, LBs all new, this is the NFL, cohesiveness and consistency win games. 4 -12, maybe 5 - 11 or 6 -10 if they come on late. Very difficult schedule. Total rebuild year. Sorry , the truth hurts in the NFL. -
love this idea

AFC East QB's (Miami,Buffalo,NY)
8-8 Forever? replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love the offseason optimism. Good stuff. Just like the past two years. We will see. Never know one way or the other. Put the kid on the field, EJ to CJ to TJ. It will be interesting and new, if nothing else. -
New system, the QBs are all equal. Not sure we don't get EJ for game one. Might as well. The O Line is as solid as it will be for the next few years, so let the kid work behind it before it falls apart in free agency, starting with the assumed departure of Eric Wood next year.
-
we reached for some crazies, I'll admit, but hey why not? they are super talented, played and partied hard in college and we got them 2 rounds later than they should have gone. lets see how it turns out

In a OL heavy draft why no OL?
8-8 Forever? replied to 910BillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hindsight IS 20-20 , but yes they could have gotten EJ in the second and taken OL in the first. so yes we can monday morning QB all day, but they could have waited. but then you miss on Woods or the crazy LB guy. we need WR and crazy LB guys more than OL this year. -
2013 NFL Draft: AFC East grades
8-8 Forever? replied to Awwufelloff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
after 5 -11 this rebuilding year, everyone will be calling for M'Nix's heads. Seriously, will the bills be a better team on the field THIS year with this group? College coaches, new QB, Byrd probably gone, new everything..... I say no. We won 6 games last year. No more than that this year. Lets have fun for the next 5 months. -
Rd 4, Pick #105: S Duke Williams - Nevada

Whatever. Looks like they are getting ready to let Byrd go. Bills are amazing. They give Mario the house and now can't sign anyone else. Mario had better be Superman this year. -
Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse

the interest is purely media driven, looking for a coach/QB story line they can bleed for years. thats all. Marrone knew he was a good college QB and not much more. all good. -
Brad Smith Speculation
8-8 Forever? replied to VIVA BUFFALO CABRONES!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure. If they are blowing it up to the degree they appear to be, no one from the Gailey era is safe no matter their status. I could see guys like Smith and Easley and TJax , Scott, etc all getting cut.. When you are starting over, which they are, no one from the prior regime is at all safe. -
Reasons This Has Been an AMAZING Draft

Rebuilding year. Adding talent where they need it. New QB, new coaches. new schemes. fresh start. here we go. 4 -12. Complete rebuild. from ground up. we should have absolutely no expectations for this year. man, what a mish mosh of guys. We will see. Glad I cancelled the sunday ticket for this year. NFL Rewind , here I come.
