Trust the process. McBeanes know what they are doing.
A couple of huge strip sacks made a massive difference in this game, but that's the way wins happen on the road, turning easily predicted losses into "shocking upsets" .
Off we go. Next week could be completely different. Turnovers win games. Take the W and run.

couple up short fields off TOs helps a lot, but hey take it

Josh Allen still standing at the end of the game
that's about all you can expect until the $50m dead cap hit expires , this season is toast. just a big long training / tryout camp.

I’m sure Sammy going to the Rams and making one of the worst offenses into one of the best is just a coincidence. Just like him going to KC and making them the nfl’s best offense is just another coincidence. I’m sure the best passing Tyrod ever had are with Sammy on the field is just another coincidence.
i know this blows peoples’ minds but a receiver can make an impact without having 100 yards a game. It’s why it is so laughable that people thought a scrub like Matthews could replace Sammy. Without a deep threat in your passing game, everything else suffers. Gurley was terrible the year before Sammy. Well, with a guy who keeps defenses honest, there aren’t 8 guys in the box like the Bills face this year.
but clearly, with Benjamin and Zay, the Bills upgrade. So happy we got rid of Sammy. We are so much better off. I fully trust this regime in making the right moves offensive. They have shown a great eye for talent on that side of the ball.
Yeah, I don’t get what was so exciting about that. Our offense is a joke and we are setting up a young qb to fail. So awesome???
Also 8 tds. But we don’t like touchdowns in Buffalo.
watkins was gone after his rookie deal anyway. so they got something for him while they could. FAs leave the Bills , not the other way around. going to be a process turning this around. good drafts, build build build. play Allen. it will come. 50m dead cap hit this year is a big deal no one talking about. thats a half dozen quality FAs that they cannot even go after bc they cannot pay them and stay inside the cap

If you Factor in the descion to pass on Mahomes , the current state of the roster, the fact that they made a major investment in Allen , who is far from a sure thing, the jettisone of any player whith the slightest quirk in his personality this is the wost group to run the organization since Pollian took over.

Were not dumpster diving, we're looking under the dumpster.
$50m in dead cap hit will do that to you. Thanks to Dareus and other wild contracts from the prior management group.

The last 2 weeks are what happens when you quit on talent as the above statistics from Sunday shows.
Like I wrote last year, Beane and McDermott got duped by Carolina on Benjamin. He is even on the injury report
again this week. Jones made 1 long catch after he bobbled the ball. I guess running around naked with blood
on his body didn't make him a better WR.
Thanks for the discipline Sean and Beane.
they both wanted out. they were not staying in any event. Watkins proved that by bailing on the Rams after his contract was up. Woods totally wanted out. He did not even look at a contract from the Bills. so these are not on McBeanes. SoCal guys and other high end guys don't want to play for this franchise. I can see why. Both are rockin it with really good teams.

I've been trying to come up with a worse offseason for free agency moves and trades but I can't think of one off the top of my head. Signed a CB who quit at halftime, signed a DE who has been hurt and still doesn't look to be up to speed, traded for a WR and cut him, signed a veteran QB then traded him last minute to keep Peterman... didn't address the departures of Incognito or Wood, in fact doubled down and traded Glenn as well...
I mean outside of the hope we have for Allen and Edmunds, this offseason was an absolute train wreck. And if they don't work out?
Yikes.Edit: Forgot about the Star signing as well. Who can blame me?
$50million in dead cap cost pretty much drove the lack of FA success. no money, no players.

My wife wants to stay home. Its 6am in DC. Its raining pretty hard right now. ugh. Well, the Molsons/Battys is cold and 6 family members waiting for us . Time to get a move on and start that drive to Ballimore. Was in 90+ heat last Sunday at the beach, now 60's and rain. Hmm.... go bills

There is no end to the number of ways Bills fans will try to rationalize the fact that we have a below average football team.
They earn an "A" for effort and really do deserve much better than they have received in most years.
lets just go play the game tomorrow.
I'll be there at least .. Labatts, Molson and some family. Sounds like a good plan.

Same when I coached. I 100% agree.
Still think that Unger for Graham trade was a pivitol moment in the decline.

He was for four years. Left as a Free Agent after the 2012 season. Married a Buffalo girl.
His agent pulled him out for big big $$ as well.

You must be new here. Anyhow, because he wanted out.
If I recall correctly, his agent pulled him out of B Lo for big $$ . Even if Bills matched , would not have mattered.

Headed to Baltimore for the opener ( i live in the DC area) . Always good when the football season starts. tailgating with family will likely be the highlight of the day though.....
-
Well, with $46m of dead cap hit this year, we cannot expect too much this year. The roster will be as limited as its been in recent years. so, we should not expect much this year... of course, we didn't expect much last year either.... so go play the games

Most teams don't carry spare OL talent. A team that has a rookie OLman who has come along faster than expected, is still not likely to want to trade off the vet he's replacing (and if the vet is so good, why is he being replaced?) until the rookie is proven in regular-season games.
yeah, they're screwed. if your O Line is crap and its still August, you have no shot at making it any better this season , plus guys will get hurt. this could be tough this year. when your O Line is crap, you lose lots of games.
